TN: It's sort of weird: the other day I sort of made mention to the rising importance of snowboarding in the mid-1980s (well OK, it was a Kinnikuman chapter from '85 which didn't have it at all aside from just "air surfing"...and this Otokojuku is from '88), and here we are a few days later...and Shu Kougen is snowboarding. Yeah, they don't really refer to it as that when they really should but it was probably so shocking and weird back then that they couldn't really just say "snowboarding", more like just stuck with "surfing on snow"...it works but it's snowboarding, believe me. As brilliant as that bizarre move was storywise, somehow it feels rather crooked that Kougen attacks Momo without really realizing that the old idiots on Gandhara HQ are screwing his prey, leading to what nearly ended up being a come-from-behind victory. But I guess it all was made up when Momo proved the age-old adage: who the heck needs arms or legs when you can stab a guy with your mouth! Now that was rocking.
