Toramaru: He…hey, th…this completely has come to not be our turn……………!!
Toramaru: Even so, our competition opponent hasn’t come yet? Akashi-senpai was waiting for so long impatiently and yet.
Momotarou: ……………It seems like they’re arriving.

Toramaru: Th…those are our first opponents in the Finals Tournament…………!? They’re a terribly eerie, disturbed lot wearing those Myouchikurin hats and pitch-black kenpou outfits.
(TN: “Myouchikurin” is a type of sweet bun notable for having two fillings on the inside: a center filled with cream akin to a donut that is completely in the shape of the bun and a second filling surrounding it that can be various flavors, most notably coffee, green tea or chocolate, that takes a shape that includes a flat bottom and a point directly in the top center of the bun, similar slightly to a bamboo shoot in shape. It is this filling shape that leads to Toramaru to refer to the hats as “Myouchikurin hats”)
Raiden: Their name is Pooron Kokurenju……………!! Cruel and heartless…!! They’re a professional assassination society whose livelihood is to kill people accurately, like precision machines that do not possess any emotions.
(TN: “Pooron Kokurenju” = “Treasure-Dragon Black Lotus Gem”, though considering later that “Pooron” is considered a place name, the proper name is better as “Pooron’s Black Lotus Gem”)
Togashi: Pooron Kokurenju………!?
Toramaru: Pr…professional assassination society…………!?
Commentary:
Pooron Kokurenju…a dark organization: originally from the Pooron Peninsula of East Asia; at present they possess an influence throughout the entire world. Their laws are unusually strict, with all of them squaring their accounts with blood. In the shadows of the history of the world’s important assassinations, they certainly will be there.

(TN: I made the note earlier of “Pooron” being in reference to the “Pooron Peninsula” in regards to the organization’s name, but…there is no Pooron Peninsula…which is typical for this series so don’t try to look it up)

Chan Hoo: What’s wrong, aren’t you taking it out? Is that exaggeratingly long sword that’s on your back merely a bluff………………!?
Akashi: It’s my decision on whether or not I need to take out my long-sword. Come!
Chan Hoo: When I hit your big mouth, you’ll come to regret that.
Chan Hoo: It’s best you realize the terror of the murdering techniques of the Kokurenju, the most perfected in the world!!

Chan Hoo: POORON KOKURENJU: KOUDA REKKYUU!!
(TN: “Kouda Rekkyuu” = “Locking-Strike Violent Ball”)

Chan Hoo: The speed of this steel ball is 300km/hr: it has the power to pulverize even bone if you’re directly hit.
Chan Hoo: And it’s speed doubles from being returned by this iron racket.

Toramaru: What---!! L…look: th…that’s as if it’s like a practice stand used for solo tennis--!!
Togashi: He’s using the recoil of the rubber rope and is attacking it consecutively with tremendous force-----!!
Momotarou: We shouldn’t worry. That level of attack can’t be used on Akashi.
Akashi: What’s with his behaviors…………!? Am I playing with an opponent in girl’s tennis?
(TN: Akashi uses the term “Ojousama tenisu”, which includes “ojousama”, which is a polite way of saying “daughter” or “girl”, but I really can’t translate as such using an English term)
Chan Hoo: Fu, if you have some experience in skill, then you can defend your body from one ball. But here’s where I show the essence of Kouda Rekkyuu!!

(TN: “Kouda Mugenkyuu” = “Locking-Strike Infinite Balls”)
Toramaru: Wh…what~~~!!
Togashi: The…steel balls have increased into an infinite amount---!!

Chan Hoo: What’s wrong: just running away isn’t a match!! Even so, are you still planning on not taking out your long sword---!!
Chan Hoo: Fuffuffu: even so, it’s been way too long when you said you weren’t taking it out!!
Akashi: It seems you want me to take out this long sword to a great extent. The long sword that I use isn’t for someone like you, but I’ll show it to you: as a souvenir for the other world……!!

Chan Hoo: What are you joking about!! It’s self-evident that a heavy, long sword like that can’t be wielded as is seemed to be thought with just that bluff.
Akashi: ICHIMONJI-RYUU OUGI: REPPUUKEN!!

Toramaru: Wh…what---!!
Togashi: A…Akashi has pushed back the iron ball w…with the wind-pressure of the sword---!!

Chan Hoo: Fu, what a strong sword with that great force……………However, you didn’t even graze my body.
Akashi: Ichimonji-ryuu: Zanganken: there isn’t a thing that can’t be cut in this world.
(TN: Reminder: “Zanganken” = “Stone-Cutting Sword”)
Chan Hoo: Hu~~h?
Chan Hoo: !?

Chan Hoo: So…so if…………that’s…stupid…………!! It…can’t be: what you say you cut was…………!?
Chan Hoo: Uwaaa~~~!!
Akashi: Play tennis to your heart’s content with the devils in Hell.

TN: Well, Akashi hasn't lost any of his authority...heck, he can win a match even without having to touch the opponent! (but then again, that's foul in tennis so it's not like he really should have wanted to touch Chan Hoo) The weird thing is that considering that we had soccer (and Gekkou playing a bit of baseball) in the last arc, somehow you would have expected a guy who fought with tennis sooner...but then again, it was less tennis and more "tennis training" with that elastic cord bouncing the ball back. The chapter turned out to have much tougher references than usual, but mostly because of those weird hats that Toramaru decided to refer to as some weird sweet as opposed to being some "general Chinese hat". But hey, it was made up for it with a cool match...and I doubt Akashi's going to give up this soon!

BTW: this chapter was done, but I sort of wanted to finish the last of this set I just started putting up before putting up the whole bunch.
