"Inner Tube Gaou": Takes in the good parts of the former masterpiece. There has come to be a good degree of difficulty in the schemes of the stages. Leek Mode, which is for advance players, will be pleasing to fans. - 8
"Space Gaou": I was resolved with "a changed edition with the fusion version", yet this is a completely different game. The content graphics have drastically changed from the previous versoin. It's a hit with it's presentation of a new world view. This is the optimal game for long autumn nights. - 10
"Soccer Gaou": Attributes are important for a battle. Each parts of the scenarios, the growth and the battles are intertwined, constructing many pleasures. It gets a perfect score as well in it's feeling of volume, rewarding for it's play. A game recommended for inexperienced players of Bo-bobo. - 10
"Karate Gaou": I love Mega Drive games! I want to play "Ghouls 'n Ghosts" and "Gunstar Heroes" after a long time! I'm absurdly addicted to "Sonic CD" and "Luna 2" on the Mega CD. "Streets of Rage 2" and "DJ Boy" are also masterpieces. - 9

(TN: Gaou's "review" is very reminiscent of Japanese video game magazine "Famitsu", which including the usage of four reviewers and 1-10 scores for the video games. The "Mega Drive", which is the main focus of the review, is the Japanese version of Sega's "Genesis" 16-bit system. However, the last reviewer makes note of a few video games which may or may not be a tad obscure or which had different names compared to the American versions. A quick guide:
-"Ghouls 'n Ghosts": known in Japan as "Daimakaimura" or "Great Demon World Town", it is the continuation of the Capcom "Ghosts 'n Goblins" series, originally released in 1988.
-"Gunstar Heroes": Seen by some as perhaps one of the best platformer games on the Genesis/Mega Drive, if not in video game history, this Sega/Treasure masterpiece came out in 1993
-"Sonic CD": though a tad on the outside compared to the Genesis Sonic games, this masterpiece platformer came out for the Sega CD/Mega CD in 1993. Strangely it wasn't created by the actual "Sonic Team" but a separate group who made this game while "Sonic Team" created (and defined the future of Sonic) with "Sonic the Hedgehog 2", even though this game ended up introducing important aspects to the Sonic universe including Metal Sonic and Amy Rose.
-"Luna 2": More appropriately known as "Luna: Eternal Blue", this sequel of "Luna: Silver Star" continued and expanded that game's structure while creating it's own story. It originally came out in Japan in 1994 and refined later, like it's predecessor, with a "Complete" version for the Playstation
-"Streets of Rage 2": Also known as "Bare Knuckles 2: The Requium of the Deadly Battle", this sequel to the original Streets of Rage continued the former's beat-em-up style in a refined manner when introduced first in America in 1992 before Japan in 1993
-"DJ Boy": A slightly more obscure Mega Drive/Genesis game, this game was unique both in it's hip-hop stylings [the main character was an African American] and it's weird sense of humor, including a boss of a farting, overweight black woman and a notable disc jockey (Japanese jockey Demon Kogure in Japan, Wolfman Jack in America) as enemies. It was released in Japan and America in 1989, in Japan by company Kaneko, in the US by Sammy.)

TN: I don't know if it was a blessing or a curse, but I knew this was going to be a long chapter of translation for one particular reason: Gaou's Famitsu review. I sort of both eagerly anticipated and secretly dreaded that one half-page with Gaou's "review" of Shinsetsu Bobopatch mostly because I knew it was going to end up making the chapter way longer than most of it appeared. And somehow it turned out the best part of the chapter due to his approach of treating Shinsetsu Bobopatch as a video game...let alone a Mega Drive/Genesis one! (yeah, Sawai loves the classics, doesn't he?) Aside from that, somehow I really did like the weird "how powerful is he" bits in this chapter: they could have gotten stale but they just got more and more absurd that they just ended up working with each and every "illustration" of insanity, from Don Patch as a dinosaur being eaten by another dinosaur to Gaou's "bicycle trip" (and even the cliffhanger with Gaou popping in on a non-connected panel probably for just the volume) kept it working all the way to the end. Strangely I think this chapter sort of is one of Gaou's major highlights...though somehow those become fewer and far between as we go along, so let's just take this moment and enjoy it for all it was. As for Heppokomaru's cliffhanger...yeah, I guess it probably proves "mysterious little girl from the last chapter" is his little sister...but I do have a question: where was she before now anyway!? I know in a weird way she does actually work really well in the context of this world once we do meet her (trust me on that)...but it just feels off that she is appearing now suddenly without any sign prior to now. (I mean, what about the previous year when Tsurulina the 4th ruled...was she somehow hiding in a bunker while Gunkan destroyed her hometown...or was she somewhere else altogether?) But consider this: with Heppokomaru finally back to normal...at least we can finally move on to Babuu, the real threat of the school. (and maybe put a lot of the trauma we've had for a while behind us...not the typical trauma, just the angsty "Heppokomaru is evil" stuff)
