Nube: You youkai: scaring Ritsuko-sensei is unforgivable; I’ll exterminate you!

Ritsuko: Kyaaa, what’s with that hand~~~!?

Nube: What’s stretched out now is your erethral body. It’s a situation where an erethral body can be seen by the eyes due to your genetic make-up.
Nube: What was called “Rokurokubi” long ago were thought to be youkai who could stretch their necks, but in actuality it is a phenomenon where they can release just the top of their erethral body from their necks in an incomplete erethral body separation and move it about while they’re sleeping.
Miki: Now you mention it, I was experimenting with erethral body separation when I read a book two days ago.
SFX: FUYO FUYO
Kyouko: Another suspicious act…
Nube: Understood: this time you’re reasonably reaping what you sow again.
Miki: So I’m not a youkai!? It’s better even if you don’t kill me!? (YA—Y YA—Y)

Nube: Obviously! So quiet down since I’m returning your erethral body to your physical body!

Miki: It’s fine that I’m cured of being a Rokurokubi, but it’s another test--…(yareyare)

Kyouko: Isn’t she a complete fanatic, huh…

TN: I like to give this chapter the following nickname: the chapter that probably won't be published in Jump anymore due to recent circumstances. I'm not really offended by it, but seeing Kyouko naked like that (not to mention Miki's attempt at a pin-up in the parting word) would probably go way against everything Japan is trying to promote these days regarding shonen manga. But enough about that: this chapter probably is the easiest breeze I've had in translation in a while, mostly because without any real "Encyclopedia" entry or a ton of cultural references (aside some weird pervert who is looking up a Sailor Moon doll's skirt...I don't want to go there), it was mostly straightforward. However, while many probably are wondering about when Miki is going to stop screwing with things beyond her control (one word: never), this chapter does reveal a valuable fact about her which really doesn't come into play around now but becomes more relevant later: her Rokurokubi power and her being one of the few students who actually has the ability to use spiritual power. While for the most part Miki just continues to play mischiefly with these things, the Rokurokubi factor does become rather useful much later on...thus with her crazy manipulations actually becoming more useful as time goes on. Likewise, this chapter is also rather crucial in that it finally (inadvertently) reveals Nube's Oni no Te to Ritsuko-sensei...she was bound to find out sooner or later so at least she knows now. Maybe this will slowly make her ease into liking Nube...and if not, there's still Yukime. (yeah...but of course Nube really doesn't want to probably go back to her at this time...)
