(TN: What those three end up doing is a major factor/reference to Akira Miyashita's "Sakigake!! Otokojuku" during the "Kyoura Daiyon Kyousatsu" (The Great Frighteningly Hidden Four Evil Murders) arc. In this arc, four of the major 1st-Years (Momotarou, Togashi, Toramaru, J) are forced to face the forces of the Kanto Gougakuren in a bizarre battle that combines mountain-climbing and martial arts fighting. As they do, though, the rest of the 1st-Years are forced to do whatever they could to support and help their classmates in this brutal battle. Don Patch has become Matsuo, who invoked the ability of the "Great Chime Yell" to send the entire class' support for the quartet fighting [and which became a massive plot point for Togashi's battle]. Meanwhile, Gaou and Tennosuke have respectively become Hidemaro and Tazawa and are holding the "Katsukon Flag", a massive flag usually used in conjunction with the "Great Chime Yell" (so says "the Principal of Otokojuku, Edajima Heihachi") to impart the spirit of the classmates to their classmate in need. Gaou as Hidemaro makes sense: though diminutive, the small 1st-Year proves his might by holding up the massive flag during Momo's final battle with Gougakuren leader Omito Date, while Tazawa (Tennosuke's role), ends up literally putting a knife on the flag's mast to force him to keep holding it up. [he was tired and couldn't keep holding it and Tazawa did it making him force to keep it up lest the knife kills his classmate) Yeah...I went way too long with this entry but since "Sakigake!! Otokojuku" is one of my other projects)

(TN: Not quite sure why Don Patch has said this or the reference behind it but he makes a mention here of "Bashii", which either refers to a "privacy policy" or possibly to the "Bashi Channel", a channel between Taiwan and the island of Luzon in the Phillipines and is extremely infamous for stormy turbulance)

(TN: This whole "Dragon Ball" scenario at this point is a parody of an infamous moment during Goku's fight with Frieza where the dead characters (Tienshinhan, Yamcha) think Goku still has Kaiouken [the big power-up Goku had at the time prior to acquiring Super Saiyan] as a trump card...except he'd been using it against Frieza since he started fighting him and was still getting beaten around by the alien tyrant)

TN: I can't complain about this chapter. After several chapters with the "Namerou is invincible and arrogant" stream, this one just feels more like a Bo-bobo chapter with an awesome power and an annoying brat eating crow than everything since Namerou's emperor power awakened. Then again it's mostly because of Shinsetsu Bo-bobo...which actually I think has a bit of a source but still seems a tad confusing. Honestly, I think the inference this chapter is trying to make is that the "Shinsetsu" power that we saw in this chapter that was drawn out of Bo-bobo...is the exact same as the "Ganeme" ability that Bo-bobo used in his Be-bebe battle back in the original. Remember: Torpedo Girl went literally inside Bo-bobo and essentially released a similar super-power...though it was done by her by destroying his reason [Bo-bobo couldn't fight Be-bebe due to family connections and this was the only way he could. My guess: when his reason was destroyed, Bo-bobo probably was able to pull on even more power that even his insane mind thought he had. Obviously he couldn't really control it (therefore Don Patch doing that weird transformation to keep him under control to concentrate on destroying his brother), but it probably gave Torpedo Girl the idea (as well as Bo-bobo the hint) to bring it out through this training. (he had to bring it out through training, it's not like he could draw on it immediately to, say, stop Bi-bibi) The only really confusing part is "if this is the true Shinsetsu Bo-bobo, then why exactly do all of Bo-bobo's Shinken have "Shinsetsu" as well without the jacket and visor"? My guess: while this is the true Shinsetsu power, it strengthened Bo-bobo in general as well, allowing for it to strengthen his base power and therefore enforces him to call all his Shinken "Shinsetsu", with the true "Shinsetsu" power being when he releases the Genaha Brake. But hey...Namerou is finally down, Bo-bobo was awesome, we got a great Otokojuku joke and even one Gaou joke. (even if he was for the most part impersonating King Kai to get it...unless you count that "box" he was given as protection) This should be enough to get me to next time...I hope.
