(TN: Yeah, some of you probably are going WTF regarding Ryoutsu's sudden appearance here thinking "wait, is Ataru messing with us again and doing a KochiKame chapter instead of his job again?" Well basically it's as Ryoutsu said: issue 42, 2006 of WSJ was officially the 30th anniversary of the start of "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo" (KochiKame for short) and, for that one issue, Ryoutsu essentially cameoed in at least one panel in every single Jump series. Strangely, though, this is one of the few manga where Ryoutsu's appearance was way more prominent as opposed to...well, a mere cameo, to the point where I even wonder if Osamu Akimoto did something similar to Kazuki Takahashi way back. Strangely though Sawai was rather active with the KochiKame anniversary, even spearheading a collaborative chapter with several other Jump comedy writers for an entire team-up involving Don Patch attempting to steal a Ryoutsu statue which actually exists in front of Kameari Park out of jealousy...and before anyone asks, yes I will get back to KochiKame in the near future...I at least want to get through a major chunk of the series)

TN: It's been a while since we've had a nice duo of contrasting personality showing up in this series. And while we sort of knew about Porstroi and his sicko nature (I mean he literally sucked dry the man he was taking over moments after awakening from his Zenmetsugan bath), seeing the silent, calculating monstrosity of the teacher Jobus (though it was rather stupid that he and the 3rd knew about Tsurubinya's escape but Babuu was just left clueless considering it was his Zenmetsugan project he was working with and maxed out) contrasted and yet continued to air out the horror that these two seem to possess. Meanwhile, while I can't really speak well anymore about Namerou, the factor regarding Pokomi protecting him regardless of all the bad things he's done just seems to add and contribute to her character along with what we know. Sure she probably has come to some understanding that Namerou is now evil and the potential emperor, but she still remembers him as one of those she respected at the Academy and that's why she can't just abandon him even with him drawing further and further into his evil fate. Honestly though I don't quite get why Bo-bobo keeps buying into saving him (my guess is it has something to do with how he wasn't there for Heppokomaru or just that he saw him as a misfit before the emperor crap was thrown in), but I guess it is supposed ot add tension and does so in some ways. But then again...Bo-bobo has plenty to worry about now considering Porstroi...

BTW: Ryoutsu can drop in anytime he needs to :P
