Sakigake!! Otoko Juku 231
Time to Depart to the Front!!
-> RTS Page for Sakigake!! Otoko Juku 231
Though Raiden nearly fell, a little simian ingenuity ended up defeating the last of the three Khans! But though Otokojuku is nearing the end of their Daibukai battle, it's about time that their final "special assistant" makes himself known...
Chp. 231: Time to Depart to the Front!!
169.
Voice: If…if I think of it, it was a long journey………!!
Voice: Ou…our direction was completely mistaken, wandering around from Borneo in the south to the Arctic Ocean in the north……!! It was like we had a grand voyage once around the world……!!
Voice: Uuh, bu…but, now I’m certain……………!!
Voice: Th…that’s the final meeting ground of the Tenchou Gorin Daibukai: Meiou Island---!! We…we…we’ve fi…finally made it~~~~!!
170.-171.
Matsuo: OTOKOJUKU FIRST-YEAR GREAT CHEERING CORP HAS ARRIVED----!!
172.
Voice 1: Hurry and land---!!
Voice 2: The rafts seem like they’re not floating; firmly hold your weight and fix it down----!!
Voice 3: Ye…yeah, we have to go and ride these again going home!!
Tazawa: Bu…but what an eerie island. Has Momo and the others been fighting in this place?
Matsuo: Uuh…I…I want to meet them quickly: with Momo, Toramaru, Togashi and the others…………!!
Tazawa: Ri…right: we’re here, and when we burst out with the Great Chime Yell, they’ll have tremendous strength!!
173.
Hidemaro: Yosshaa!! First, we’ll search this island and immediately get to Momo’s group---!!
First-Years: Ooh----!!
Tazawa: N!?
Tazawa: Wh…what is th…that…………!!
Matsuo: So…something is making a clamorous roar and headed towards this island!!
Tazawa: Wh…what---!!
Hidemaro: Th…this violently bad premonition………!!
Matsuo: It…can’t be: i…its----!!
174.
Onihige: Pr…Principal~~~!! Ri…right now, I’ve received information that our Otokojuku troops have crushed the formidable Mongol Sankyousen enemies in the Tenchou Gorin Daibukai----!! Fu…furthermore, it appears that Matsuo and the First-Years have arrived after a long struggle to Meiou Island----!!
Onihige: !?
Note:
I WILL BE AWAY FROM HERE
FOR A LITTLE WHILE
I AM THE PRINCIPAL OF OTOKOJUKU
EDAJIMA HEIHACHI
Onihige: Huh!? Wh…where did he go, that…Principal!? He truly was here until this morning but……………!!
175.
Hikouboshi: It…it’s terrible, Onihige---!!
Onihige: Wh…what’s wrong---!!
Hikouboshi: Th…the aircraft hangar----!! The…the lock to the B-Aircraft Hangar behind the school has…been destroyed~~~~!!
Onihige: Wh…what’s that: the B-Aircraft Hangar……………!? Wh…what’s actually in there is……………!! It…can’t be…………!! Th…this is going to be terrible---!!
Toramaru: …………!!
176.
Raiden: You’re considerable creatures. In helping me out…………!!
Toramaru: Heh, why are they so proud? I surely thought that those monkeys were killed.
Toramaru: Hey, wasn’t it said since long ago that even monkeys fall from trees!!
(TN: A literal saying but it essentially is what it says: “saru mo ki kara ochiru”, or “even monkeys fall from trees” is a proverb for how anyone can make a mistake or “pride comes before the fall”)
Toramaru: Ge!!
Toramaru: A…are these monkeys doing this~~~!!
Togashi: Wahhahaha: Toramaru and the monkeys are starting up again---!!
177.
Date: It seems that the final scene is drawing near for these Tenchou Gorin Daibukai Finals.
Momotarou: No………!! I don’t think the power of these Meiou Island 16-Warriors is of this level. I have a hunch that there is a power that is still immeasurable with them!!
Hon: Fufu: please calm yourself, young master. As our leader, the most important thing is to completely abandon feelings and accurately grasp just the situation…………!!
Gouki: There’s no use in arguing………!! I’ll be going next………!! This responsibility will be taken by you!!
178.
Gouki: Nun!!
Hon: Hoho: young master, are you yourself going to head to the front!?
Gouki: !!
Hon: It won’t come to that. You have an important body that is under the charge of your father, Toudou Hyoue-sama…if we have a chance, we can’t exhaust it for recovering from this!!
179.
Gouki: A chance!! Are you thinking that we will have this chance with me----!!
Hon: Fu: can you kill a person with that sword!?
Gouki: Na!!
Gouki: !!
Gouki: …………!!
Hon: Fine: the young master’s feelings aren’t an unknown thing. In that case, I will certainly give quiet to that anger.
180.
Hon: The next match will be according to Hon Rinmei, instructor of Meiou Island!!
Gouki: Y…you………!! Y…your eyes are………!!
Togashi: Hey, Toramaru, don’t be irresponsible!!
Monkeys: Kii!!
Togashi: This ugly quarrel will continue on forever---!!
Toramaru: Bu…but they’re too cheeky---!! Whether it’s that or s**t, where can this stupidity of quarreling at the same level with monkey opponents be---!!
Togashi: You’re a human---!!
181.
Togashi: Guo!!
Togashi: Y…you---!!
Momotarou: !? What is that sound………!?
Momotarou: Wh…what----!! Th…that’s----!
182.-183.
Toramaru: Uwaaa----!!
Toramaru: ………!!
Momotarou: How…stupid!! That’s the “Zero-Style” fighter aircraft of the Japanese Navy during World War II, also known as the “Zero”………! Wh…why is that thing here now……………!!
(TN: It’s been forever since we had a bit regarding Japanese WWII history, so I guess it’s time to get a bit into perhaps one of the most notable aircraft in the war: the Mitsubishi A6M Zero [also known as the Zero or the “Rei-sen”/”Zero-sen” with “rei” being Japanese for “Zero”] Introduced early in WWII, it was notable for it’s maneuverability and it’s capability of flying long-range. While a major factor in Japan’s early victories in the Axis, it eventually showed weaknesses and was eventually found to be outdated as the war dragged on, ultimately used near the end of the war as the plane used by Japanese kamikaze strikes on Allied ships)
184.
Toramaru: Bl…black smoke is coming out fr…from the fuselage---!!
Togashi: The…condition of the engine is…bad somewhere----!!
Togashi: Uoo!! It’s…it’s crashing with the wall of the battleground~~~!
185.
Momotarou: …………!!
Togashi: LO…LOOK---!!
Toramaru: So…someone is coming out from the crashed Zero----!!
186.
(Yeah…he needs no introduction, folks)
187.
Edajima: I AM OTOKOJUKU’S THIRD HELPER----!!
Momotarou: Th…that’s; it…can’t be…………!!
(End of Vol. 25)
TN: Well it's about time! After all these volumes waiting (aside hints like some of the crazy stuff in vol. 1), Edajima is finally entering the ring...and of course, when he finally fights, it's just going to be a massacre! But hey, he sure knows how to make an entrance (right into Toudou's gaping face smashing up a Zero plane...yeah, that's usually how Edajima enters alongside an 'I AM THE PRINCIPAL OF OTOKOJUKU' bit) Meanwhile, the chapter isn't just exciting because of Edajima's little "game" he's playing with everyone but also for the reappearance of the First-Years after all the waiting we've had in them coming back after their "deployment". I keep saying it but it's true: as many fights as this series has, the soul of the series will always be tied to the likes of Matsuo, Tazawa and Hidemaro as it is with Momo, Togashi and Toramaru. But isn't that how shonen is anyway: a shonen mangaka who remembers the past will always succeed in keeping a piece of it's soul...now tell that to some other mangaka.
