Commentary:
Senpo Kikouken…”Hyappo Shinken”, which defeats enemies with just the energy of the human body called “Ki”, which is emitted by a Kihou technique from the place it is released, is widely known, but furthermore powerful one is Senpo Kikouken. It is a supreme technique of the numerous secrets of Chinese Kenpou; of those who set their sight for this fist, anyone can dream of acquiring it, but since it’s training is unimaginable, those who master it are few in number.

TN: Well...first of all let me just say...about the end of last chapter...and what saved Edajima...

THAT IS WHAT SAVED HIM!? Well...he did say he had complete control over his body.

With that out of the way...I'm a tad surprised and shocked in a way that this is actually the very first time we've seen ki usage in the series since Momo/Jaki. Somehow with how that fight turned out, I actually expected more "ki" techniques prior to now...but I guess that Momo and Jaki basically just knew the basics...while Edajima and Hon can manipulate it at a more insane, powerful fashion. Meanwhile, the accolades regarding Edajima's power just seems to grow by the chapter...mastering one of the most prestigious training regimes, including one of the most powerful ki techniques, in one year!? Some could call him a "Gary Stu"...but honestly with his age, power and the lack of his usage, Edajima is more or less "a legend", thus proving why Miyashita hardly ever used him. He probably could just destroy the tournament on his own if it weren't for the whole "prevent Toudou from knowing his involvement" bit leading to him sending his students. (no wonder he only has the 8-panel Koma in Jump Ultimate Stars) But hey, at least in the end Hon acknowledges what a monster Edajima is...we knew it all along but to get such respect from someone as powerful as Hon proves something.
