Edajima: I’m easy-going!!

TN: It's almost funny: Edajima's entire reason and purpose in life (let alone the Daibukai tournament) is to eliminate Toudou and get back at what he pulled during WWII. And on the other hand, Toudou...doesn't even remember that Edajima exists, but merely gets a hunch that his former war ally has been making his move all this time in sabotaging his tournament with his school and his students. Honestly you probably would expect Toudou to remember Edajima from the war, but I guess money, power and greed in general corrupts memories. This chapter not only shows you how much of a bastard that Toudou himself is...but also seems to demonstrate the difference between him and the two people that we see that are crucial in his life: Gouki and Edajima. Edajima is obvious: eternal enemies even when they don't realize the other is around. (but hey, at least he got a new plane after what happened to his derelict Zero) On the other hand, we saw a different side to Gouki, choosing to prevent Hon's death (before Toudou and his executioners show up) believing that killing yourself doesn't solve anything. Gouki shows more maturity than we saw at first when he was his father's puppet...and maybe the kid can be saved ultimately...even with him and his dad's two chosen minions in the final phase that's coming up!
