Miki: At a glance, it seems like a dirty pouch bag, but it’s a youkai called “Chabukuro”. It comes down from the sky and the person who touches it will have their energy sucked and die.
(TN: Strangely “chabukuro” is also the Japanese word for “teabag” and can be found as a variety of mushroom…but in this case, it seems like it’s a short version of “Kinchakuburkuro”, which is “purse bag”)

Miki: But if it is touched by the owner of a pure heart with no evil design…
Miki: You fall into a time tunnel and return to the past…and you can correct just one failure of your past.

Kyouko: That seems fine, but though it is for a person of a pure heart, there really isn’t a persuasive power with you, Miki.
Miki: What, are you complaining of something!?
Hiroshi: Hm—m, a chance to correct the past—
Hiroshi: If I could do that, then that time…
Kyouko: Wh…what is it, Hiroshi; you have a dark past to the extent of wanting to redo it…?
Hiroshi: I can get back that jagged-edged 10-yen coin that I mistakenly used a year ago.
(TN: While it may seem a tad weird that Hiroshi wants that back, this “jagged-edged 10-yen coin” is actually a rare coin, only issued for a period between 1951 to 1958 (not counting 1956))
Kyouko: That’s worthless…
Kyouko: Right! If it were me, I’d get the autograph of Mine Ryuuta, who came to the shopping district two years ago…
(TN: Ryuuta Mine is a notable Japanese actor from the 70s and 80s)
Hiroshi: It’s not like you can’t change too much with that!!
Hiroshi: How about you, Nube? Do you have a failure in the past that you want to redo?
Nube: N? Me?
Miki: He should have too many~~with a da~~rk past of being rejected by women! He’ll redo it and get rejected again!

Nube: Since I live every day like I have no regrets, I don’t have a past that I want to redo. (Ehen!)
Kyouko: Ah, well.
Nube: Besides, that youkai Chabukuro is a rare youkai where encountering it is one in several ten thousand probability due to it rarely appearing to humans.
Kyouko: Right—then.
Miki: That’s boring.
Announcer: We’ve reached the end of the school day.

Boy 1: Ke—that evil tomboy!
(TN: The student who curses Minako-sensei out actually ends up saying “tomboy” twice, using two different terms: “otenba” (which is based on the Dutch word “ontembaar”) and “hanekkaeri” (which is a word that also stands for “rebound” or “recovery” but is also used as a term for “tomboy”. Since it really felt weird to say “tomboy” twice, I tried to make an emphasis on how much of a tomboy she is)
Boy 2: You won’t be taken as a bride--!
Minako: You’re fine now, Nueno-kun.
Nube: Minako-sensei…It…it was that time…
Minako: “That” happened again. Fine, teacher will cure you.
Nube: Right…I at that time got the bad feelings of friends due to having strong spiritual feelings…I was well tormented and, at that time, teacher always…

Minako: Well, take off your clothes and sit there.

(TN: The “spirit” here isn’t the typical “rei” spirit but in reference to “ki”/”qi” the “spirit” that is seen as the power within the body)
SFX: Shu—shu—
Minako: Ara, it’s terrible: it’s gone down even to your behind. Take your trousers off too.
Nube: I…I can’t: we’re teacher and student…
Minako: What are you shy about; don’t we always do that?
Nube: Hiee
SFX: Za za za

Minako: It is…completely different from what has possessed you until now…it’s as if it seems like a snake is wriggling under your skin…
Nube: Toubyou…a possessing snake-god. It’s a powerful evil spirit to the extent that sorcerers use it for a killing curse. It isn’t an opponent that can be managed by your hands…
(TN: We don’t really get too much about it here since there isn’t an Encyclopedia following this chapter, but essentially it’s as said: Toubyou is a possessing being from Chuugoku and Shikoku that is in the form of a snake and kills those who encounter it)
Minako: Fufufu…what’s wrong: you’re suddenly have come to have a tone like an adult. It’ll be fine, don’t worry. Leave it to teacher.
Nube: No, teacher! You…this is the cause of…
SFX: Ka
Nube: Teacher—

Nube: But…now is different! Now I will protect you! I came to the past for that!! Namu Daiji Daihi Kyuugu Kyuunan! Oni no Te, overcome space-time and show me…

Nube: What!? The power of Chabukuro is…bringing me back to the present…why!? Just a bit more and yet…

Nube: Wait! Wait. One more minute, no, thirty seconds is fine! With that I can rescue teacher…please, don’t go…

Nube: Right…Chabukuro only leads to the past those who don’t have wicked design… (out loud) Uuh… (internal) The Oni no Te, which is my seal, is an evil power…therefore it forced me out…
Nube: I can’t…change my past…

Voice: Nube! Nube!
Nube: All…all of you, go home…
Kyouko: Hiroshi forgot something and we came back.
Hiroshi: Then Chabukuro…perhaps you weren’t sucked in by it?
Miki: We surely thought you were dead. Are you alive!? Are you alive!?
Nube: Ah…yes.
Hiroshi: You had a blue face and weren’t even breathing.

Nube: I’m sorry I made you worry. Right; the past is the past. I now have all of you.
Nube: Right, teacher, your existence made me into a spiritually-powered teacher now. The kindness and strength you taught to me are within me and can never be changed…ever be changed.
Miki: Hey, well, did you go to the past!? Were you attacked by a past woman and rejected there!?
Nube: …Well…

TN: Well...we've finally reached probably one of the most important chapters of the series. I really won't say how for those who don't know, but let's just say this: while the Oni no Te ruining the Chabukuro signal was bad enough for Nube, it could have made what happened later for him way worse. Minako-sensei isn't quite done with the story and while what we've seen here is massively important, so is what happens involving her later.

Other than the stupid foreshadowing (that I really shouldn't be doing), this was a very sweet and poignant chapter that actually gives us some important backstory and a crucial character in Nube's life. Minako-sensei is just a sweet character, with Nube's power and problems...but with Ritsuko-sensei's body. (outside the hairband...and the orange hair...) It's strange how from the one chapter we have, she already just has that much development and shows how Nube got some of his feelings regarding the spiritual and why he became a teacher. I do sort of wish we found out why Nube did have the problems attracting youkai to his body prior to the snake incident...but other than "he has strong spiritual powers", that's sort of something we find out a bit more on later. You can't find everything else now. (though you could find that 5-yen piece Hiroshi spent...)
