Toudou: My five sons were entrusted to Souryuu Temple, the headquarters for kenpou, martial arts and all weaponless combat and were trained so they should be the strongest man in history.
(TN: A couple notes:
-“Headquarters” is “Souhonzan”, which I think I went over regarding the Gandhara arc as a head temple in Buddhism or a headquarters.
-“Souryuu Temple” or “Souryuuji” = “Blue Dragon Temple”)
Touodu: And then, in the 10th year, I visited the temple for the first time and told this to my sons……!!
Toudou: There can only be one person who will inherit every single piece of my assets and authority…………………!! I will present them to one, who is the strongest one among the five of you!!

Toudou: A tremendous battle, which surely washed blood with blood, started. My five sons were all merely strong men who had mastered the secrets of their trade.
Toudou: But his strength towered above the rest………………!! He slayed his three older brothers in an instant……!!
“Brother”: I…I understand: I…I acknowledge my loss and everything will be given to you!! So…so then, just my life will be…………!!

Brother: AGYAA---!!
Gouki: Are you fine with this, father……!!
Toudou: Ma…magnificent!!
Toudou: ………!! Fufu, that overwhelming strength that should have been said to be innate, callous like ice in his chopping down without even a change in facial expression even his actual brothers whom were separate by blood……………………!!
Toudou: He is the personification of carnage, born to fight!! There isn’t a man who can win against him!!

Announcer: SO THEN, FROM HERE, WE SHALL START THE TENCHOU GORIN DAIBUKAI’S FINAL DUEL!!
Gouki: This miracle for all of you ends here!!
Momotarou: I’ve waited for this moment……………!!

TN: May we all please have a moment of silence now for the great Emperor of Otokojuku, Daigouin Jaki...











Honestly, in a series with so many pseudo-deaths and people who seem to be dead only to be brought back alive, this just had a sense that this one isn't going to be joked about or changed in any sort of way. I mean, Jaki just blew himself up with his own attack, leaving not a trace left...heck, even Edajima knew he would do such a thing! However, most of this all essentially stems from that one blow: Spartacus just had a direct line to Jaki's heart and the guy just had enough left in him to finish the gladiator-themed opponent off, then blow himself up. Though weirder things have happened, this suggests that Spartacus' blow was so deep that Jaki knew his end had finally come after all this time. Though...considering everything we've seen with him from this series, from his giant form easily tossing Togashi around to his climactic battle with Momo at the end of the Paaren Seiha through his fight with Zeus and...yeah, his weird Edajima flashback, Jaki just brought a sense of nobility to the series. He truly wasn't just the man who controlled Otokojuku (well, the student body, Edajima is the real boss of the school), he was literally it's emperor, forcing everyone by his will and keeping the status quo as long as no one could challenge him. After Momo forced him to eat humble pie (well lightning but whose counting), his position changed: sure he was no longer the legitimate "leader" but he was still the "emperor", leader of the Third-Years, and one of the most powerful fighters at the school. For the most part Jaki ended up fighting the true monsters, mostly finishing his long-standing rivalry with fellow "emperor" Zeus, then going through against this gladiator Spartacus whose tactics finally delivered the fatal blow he never thought coming...but still wasn't any match for him in the end. We're all going to miss you, Jaki...you were a badass to the end.

As for the final battle at hand...well, we'll be finding more out as the battle occurs but somehow a lot of the "kinder" nature of Gouki that we saw with him around Toudou seemed to has evaporated away with the revelation of his ruthlessness against his own brothers. Trust me, it's only going to get worse from here...
