Commentary: Entou Kyouyutou…there are a number of dueling methods devised for deciding winners and losers among fellow masters, but among them, the ultimate one is Entou Kyouyutou. It’s origin was when Oda Nobunaga, the famed general of the Sengoku era, fought had two candidates fight so he could decide a samurai general.

This idea of this dueling method, which is said to be covering your entire body in oil, lacquering turpentine, which lights a fire for a long time, on the sword blade and becoming covered in flames even by just being touched, was said to be by Nobunaga, who was called merciless. This is a side-story, but Nobunaga, who enjoyed himself often with this dueling method, afterwards was engulfed in flames in the area of Honnou Temple due to Akechi Mitsuhide and, as he faced his death, smiled as he spoke of his ironic karma.

(TN: There is a bit of historical truth to this scenario but not quite...while Oda Nobunaga ended up dead after being betrayed by Akechi Mitsuhide [though he committed suicide], it really had nothing to do with him being set on fire. In actuality, the only real fire in the incident involved his page, Mori Ranmaru, setting Oda's body and the temple ablaze to prevent anyone from getting his corpse. But of course it's Otokojuku so...just take it as is)

TN: First of all, an apology: I was rushing to try and get this chapter done today so there may be a few mistakes here or there. Please look it over and make sure before you try and use it for anything.

Second: Momo once again just keeps finding a way to outthink his opponent just when you think he's down. It's hard to say whether it was his own inspiration or his brain just inspired and motivated by the Great Chime Yell, but somehow Momo just knows what to do at the right time. Of course, it is strange seeing him vulnerable once again...sure it isn't like the time he was nearly tortured to death by Pharaoh, but Gouki is a worthy opponent to take Momo on, even if he has to resort to another dueling method to do so just due to respect...but hey, it's hard to say when the battle is going to end at this point...even with the latest cliffhanger with Gouki being burned up in his own scheme!
