(Translator’s Note: The pun Gunkan is making is with the term “Kamin Gusun”, which is a term used to say “I’m taking a nap”. But Gunkan is instead using the kanji for “paper”, thus making a pun that’s sort of hard to understand)

(Translator's Note: Its sort of sad: Tennosuke has come so far and yet this is probably his lowest point. He loses in combat to an inanimate stick of gum...then gets the Pomade Ring smashing down on top of him crushing him for the rest of the arc! If you think about it, Tennosuke really doesn't get too much in the Gunkan arc compared to his own battle, mostly being used to fill out the fifth spot and get into embarrasing situations like this. This is probably the last he really does anything in this section...luckily by the time he returns in a couple volumes, Sawai starts using Tennosuke better for combat and weirdness and has a few "nu" (hint, hint) tricks up his sleeve! My only other comment for the chapter is a strange realization: most of the structure of "main villains" and "subordinates" seem rather reversed early on in Bo-bobo compared to later, particularly in their personality and strangeness. At this point, all of the "boss villains" seem to be really crazy and bizarre (Tennosuke, Gunkan) while their subordinates seem rather serious and the butt of Bo-bobo's jokes. However, within a few volumes it reverses: the villains are the straight-laced threats and can be weird in certain ways while many of the subordinates become the real weirdoes! Somehow with how the bigger villains get, seeing Bo-bobo make a fool out of them just works better than having the villain and the hero be foolish.
