Commentary:
Kyoutou Sougakujutsu…wild Mader Crocodiles countlessly live in a region of South Asia, but at the beginning of the 18th century, that area developed a technique where they were tamed and manipulated. This technique was put to practical use, with the townspeople creating moats around the circumferences of towns, releasing raised crocodiles within them and repelling the invasions of foreign enemies. Due to this, the crocodile became important to the people as their guardian deities.

Even in the present, there remains a law of the death penalty for those who kill crocodiles in a certain South Asian country; there is a common knowledge fact that a Japanese woman who carelessly possessed a crocodile-skin handbag came to have a life sentence.

Considering that it’s usage is akin to a certain 1986 film starring Paul Hogan about a wild Australian man brought to civilization, I couldn’t help myself by going with the “Dundee” part…especially since the “Crocodile” was in katakana and both together was literally the same as the movie title.

(TN: I really didn’t know what to do in translating this: Clinsman asks Hakuhou to tell “Enma” to make him taller, but “Enma” usually is in reference either to Yama, the guardian of Japanese hell or just of any ruler of Hell, such as those who believe that “The Devil” rules over it. I went with “the devil” but it’s up to you on how to interpret it)

TN: To those of you who got my reference in my little "prologue" this time...you're probably going to kill me...badly.

As for the chapter...let me just say this: this is probably the very first "Minmei Publishing" entry I ever came across. For some reason whoever wrote the entry on Wikipedia for "Sakigake! Otokojuku" decided to explain the whole concept of Minmei Publishing with...well, how a guy can use crocodiles in battles. There are probably crazier Minmei entries to use, but using crocodiles and seeing how countries kill people who kill them is weird enough for most people. (who don't want to know about weirdoes who use springs...or golf...or weird sky writing...yeah, Otokojuku just has lots of fun with what you can fight with) Though the fact that it was Hakuhou who decided to fight it...well that was sort of random but at least the kid shows a talent of impatience, even if it gets him thrown into a pit of crocodiles...and nearly killing his opponent just because of his diminutiveness. (Honestly we know how young he is but I just wonder how Ryouzanpaku put up with him...let alone his "brothers") And...well, somehow these endings for the last couple chapters just shows that Date has a dark sense of humor, a nice pessimistic comedic blast compared to Momo's optimism for his new allies. (and honestly it's a nice change from seeing Togashi and Toramaru do it all the time)
