Translator's Note: And thus ends Halekulani and, likewise, the Hallelujah Land arc. Let me be honest with you as we reach the end of another arc: originally I really wasn't that anticipatory in doing Hallelujah Land. This was the arc that pretty much everyone knows about in one form or another. This was the first arc Viz released in the United States and many know of the arc through that. Everyone also knows of it thanks to the anime rendition that has aired. And here I am going "Does anyone really want to read this arc again...heck, do I want to see it?" I mean compared to the amazement of Gunkan & OVER and everything that's coming later, I didn't know what to think or feel about this arc. Unfortunately the first three chapters did seem repetitive or not quite my thing (outside the DB cutout & the Nu car)...but things did seem to perk up once Nightmare unleashed his dream attack and he was destroyed by the scribbled Bobopatch. Then the "Hell Killers" battle started and the arc really seemed to get going...maybe with a little burp here or there (the middle section of the brothers fight, a bit of the early part of Halekulani), but all in all I really seemed to like this arc! Of course, that was further reinforced with another insane "final attack" by way of the "ordinary life" story by Bo-bobo against Halekulani...I guess all that canned crab and warfare and "Nu Person" and even yokai fighting seemed to get to me rather easily. Next up...well, another familiar arc, but with a bit of unfamiliarity...OK, maybe not that unfamiliar but something that really should have been released in the US!
