"Houou" is said to be a bird who appears at the start of a new or glorious age and was typically used in Japanese goods during the Heian era)

On the other hand, "dennou" is an extremely cumbersome concept, with its official translation pretty much "electronic brain", which probably is akin to a computer's A.I. but is also the kanji used for "computer" in Chinese. While both the anime dub and Viz went with "6 Cyber Knights", I'm going to call them the "6 Dennou Knights". There's also something peculiar about Pana's name...but I'll get to that in a couple chapters)

Translator's Note: I do sort of wonder after my realization in the last chapter: if Giga doesn't listen to the Maruhage Empire, why the heck does he chop off hair? Could there be something else going on in regards to the true extent of the Hair Hunt...well OK, that is something we shouldn't be too worried about at this time. Personally, while Cyber City probably has a lot of slowness, I love the whole concept: a futuristic dystopia where people are forced to live on and put up with unless they are sentenced to die for leaving. Its just that some of these villains, like Pana for example, seem rather one-dimensional...but that's what makes them more antagonistic. Probably the only bit of good news is that we're through the two chapters Viz didn't do...so we may be re-entering some familiar territory again starting next time...though its great to see them from another perspective.
