During this arc, most of the non-fighting Choujin are trapped inside "life-support bubbles" created by the Silver Mask to prevent them from having their powers taken by the mysterious protectors of the Gold Mask. By the end of the arc, the same bubbles are teleported underneath the fighting arena where they support Suguru's final showdown with the leader of the evil forces, Akuma Shogun, where they ultimately break and must be kept up by the Choujin inside themselves until the final battle was over or they all died beneath the battle. Strangely though Don Patch and Tennosuke are subsequently Buffaloman and Kinnikuman...sure both were in the arc but never fought each other during this scenario due to becoming allies)

TN: Well...I was sort of dreading this but we've finally reached...this fight. The longest fight in Shinsetsu. (not longer than OVER or Bi-bibi but it could feel like it) Honestly I sort of dreaded getting to Kamara because of how we're entering the really long and tedious point...but that may or may not emerge this time. I do have to say though one thing: maybe the fight won't be as bad as I feared. I mean, considering how he defeated and analyzed Kagi Shinken in a heartbeat (and hit away Tennosuke with...wait, anyone can hit Tennosuke away) was a creepy but cool thing. Heck, considering how Kagi Shinken for the most part was unstoppable (though Hatenko does use keys as projectiles...remember how he defeated Wan Ronga by throwing a million keys at him at once?), having someone take it apart and destroy it with a tortoise shows their power. Meanwhile, while I'm a tad dissapointed we really won't get any further Gunkan in this arc (aside from...the ending), seeing him and Suzu given the responsibility of the care of the prisoners does show that there is still a bit of respect from him...well on Sawai's part. (Bo-bobo...well he just doesn't care anymore but he never did...though he still likes Suzu) And as for Dengaku Man and Gaou...well, sadly, this is Gaou's final notable scene in this chapter. And such a shame too: a cute koala with such potential and drive to go beyond the white-creature/dog at the start of Shinsetsu has been reduced to...well, this. I guess in the end Sawai just wanted to stick with what people liked and what worked...but even with Gaou gone for the most part (outside that koala-looking thing in BG shots), we should remember the good parts. (like his insane flashback Bo-bobo and Don Patch ruined...and his epicness in the Shinsetsu Bobopatch chapter)
