Translator's Note: Past enemies...yeah, that probably was the worst part to emphasize. But for those of you who know of Bo-bobo, you know what's starting: we're finally entering into the "Former Maruhage" arc of the series! A lot of amazing things are coming...though of course, this chapter is somewhat of the beginning of the setup. Actually, I find it a tad weird that after seeing previous arcs with denouement in the same chapter essentially as the villain's downfall (or no real denouement at all), Cyber City had a few pages closing off the arc prior to the arrival of the new enemy. But of course, with all the lingering storylines (Softon running the city, Torpedo Girl still there, Heppokomaru reflecting on his weakness), it was a nice touch. Probably the biggest and strangest part of this chapter, though...were that we got a ton of weird references and Japanese bits more than usual...heck, somehow I wish there was an easier way to translate things like "Torpedo Girl's lantern farewell" or "the Kamakura era"...and especially that bit about the plum, which I actually had to dive through some things to find out where Kashuu is! On the other hand...we had the "Titanic" reference. I really should have mentioned that in the translation since we're mostly ten-years removed from the insanity that movie brought, but I assumed there are still enough people out there who remember it and who know who Jack & Rose were so I let it be. Heck, when Don Patch and Tennosuke got on the car, I really didn't know what was going on until that yelling scene finally reminded me of that overobsessed shot on the front of the boat. I really could have also pointed out the possible "Super Mario Brothers 2/Doki Doki Panic" reference with Bo-bobo as a turnip...but it also could have been a generic turnip so I left that be too. That's all I really have to say for the moment...at least we're finally here in a place that is both familiar..and yet not. (though Viz will get there too so its not like its going to be left alone)

BTW: I may start slowing down a bit the rate of translations since we're mostly past a lot of the stuff we all know about...sure we all know of Former Maruhage too but its probably less out there and obsessed compared to Hallelujah Land and Cyber City.
