Translator's Note: I think I have a nickname regarding this chapter: "The Cultural References Strike Back!" I don't know if it's just me or just the way that Sawai threw them out, but I've noticed them literally pouring out of the woodwork this time around. Heck, with only maybe one or two cultural references prior to this chapter, I was breezing through the translations rather quickly and effectively...heck, even this time, the first part with the Yellow Magic Orchestra was neat and easy to find. But then along came the witches. Yes, as soon as I saw Don Patch and Tennosuke turn into witches referring to some candy line that I literally had to go to Youtube and watch to get (and that's without going into the weird NicoNico varients of the same ad line), I knew what heck this chapter was going to give me. Bizarre dance styles, a badminton-like game I actually once saw in Ranma 1/2 (this one where Akane and Shampoo gained super strength from soba noodles) and...a Gundam homage that I know is something but I can't tell you what. (being a more UC/FC specialist myself, never watched CE and I do want to see AD if Gundam 00 gets to TV). And furthermore, I wouldn't even be surprised if that scene with the skin liquid was yet another commercial reference! So all in all, I was too soft recently, this chapter woke me back up on the cultural insanity and next time...well the next time is going to be the insane climax of Lambada with something which obviously is going to be reference after reference...but hopefully no witches making candy!
