Sakigake!! Otoko Juku 273
The Beasts of Hopelessness!!
-> RTS Page for Sakigake!! Otoko Juku 273
After overthrowing a mad Nazi doctor, Otokojuku has finally finished off the Second Tusk! Yet with the Dark Tusks starting to grow impatient, what insane battle arena will the students be imprisoned in next!?
Chp. 273: The Beasts of Hopelessness!!
87.
Toramaru: It…it’s Gekkou---!!
Togashi: You’re already our authentic ally Gekkou whom we’ve worried about---!!
Toramaru: I’m glad, I’m glad---!!
Date: By the way, where’s the crucial 2nd Floppy Disk!? It should be somewhere in this castle………
Gekkou: Perhaps it is this? I was ordered as if I had to possess it as a valuable by the doctor.
88.
Momotarou: This is it, I’m certain!! With this, five of them are left!!
Gekkou: What exactly is that!? I don’t entirely understand what is occurring now.
Momotarou: The Principal has been abducted by the organization of darkness who calls themselves the “Dark Tusks”. Whatever we do, we must gather a total of 7 of these floppy disks and completely rescue the Principal.
Gekkou: What, the Principal’s been………!!
Momotarou: The knowledge will be explained later. We must hurry!!
Momotarou: Let’s go: to the Third Tusk!!
89.
(Title page…somehow there is a strange ominousness of seeing Otokojuku like this in their search for saving Edajima)

Angelo: Fu, I’m surprised. How can it be that the Dr. Eberstein has been defeated…………!! But next will be………!!
“Old Man”: It’s regretful, but there isn’t a next for you, New York Branch Leader Mario.
91.
Angelo: Haho!!
“Old Man”: The law of the organization is heartless: failure must be redeemed in death.
“Voice 1”: Who will be the successor!?
“Voice 2”: Any further mismanagement in this absolutely won’t be forgive by the supreme management.
“Head”: Then that duty will be mine.
92.
Hendrix: I anticipated this situation and am already striking my hand. Otokojuku……!! They will become prey to the “Beasts of Hopelessness” who live in the hell of this world for the next Tusk.

Cigar: The Beasts of Hopelessness………!?
Glasses: What are those!?
Hendrix: I’ve analyzed the fights up to now and have realized one large error. The warriors that have been sent out by our organization up to now have all been those fighting for the funds of employment in money………!!
Hendrix: No matter how much money they want, they aren’t thinking of throwing away even their lives for this. This produces an opportunity over there!!
93.
Hendrix: But they are different!! They don’t fight for money!! They who have squirmed in their world of darkness without even a streak of light reaching have a thing they’re wishing for that is on the contrary to life………!!
Hendrix: That is freedom. Just like it’s been proven in the history of humanity, people abandon their lives and fight so they could obtain this!! And thus, they exhibit a bottomless wonderful power!!
Man 1: Hold on: somehow I don’t understand well what you’re saying.
Man 2: What exactly are they!?
Hendrix: Fu, that will be understood immediately.
Hendrix: Immediately………!!
94.
Gekkou: Understood; that’s what’s going on…………
Momotarou: Yes, as expected even the Principal can’t do anything in being launched into the void of space!!
Toramaru: Really, they’re dirty guys. They’re giving this behavior that’s like they’re scattering sand into the rice storer of a person’s home---!!
(TN: I sort of don’t get why Toramaru would give an expression like this, but he does literally say “Ninchi no komebitsu ni sunamaku you na mane”, which is “scattering scand into the rice storer of a person’s home. The key words to understand here are:
-“Ninchi”, which is “a person’s home” or could be “a family man” dependant on how you look at it
-“Komebitsu”, which involves the “kome” for raw rice and has a meaning of a device that keeps rice that hasn’t been cooked yet in storage)
Togashi: Those a**holes!! Those “Dark Tusk” guys: when we’ve rescued the Principal, not one of them is going to live!!
Gobarski: Even so, to where is this helicopter intend on transporting us!?
Sou Reigen: Fu, after Antarctica was Africa…!! As it is, we won’t be surprised in to where we are lead to.
95.
Announcer: I AM INFORMING TO GENTLEMEN OF OTOKOJUKU!! OUR PLANE IS RIGHT NOW ENTERING THE LANDING ALTITUDE!!
Toramaru: N!?
Toramaru: Hey—driver---!! Land us peacefully now--!!
Toramaru: Uwa!!
Date: We’ve landed.
Momotarou: It seems we’ve arrived.
Momotarou: !!
96.-97.
Togashi & Toramaru: WH…WHAT, HE…HERE IS---!! Th…the sea---!! It’s the lone island of a distant sea which is floating on the ocean----!!
98.
Hakuhou: Wh…where exactly is this…!!
Togashi: E…even so, what is this: it’s a huge eerie building that is erect on most of the island………!?
Togashi: On the island is a te…terrible firm guarding set-up……………!!
Hakuhou: L…look, someone is descending the stairs---!!
99.
“Jailer”: I’ve waited for you, Gentlemen of Otokojuku!! You’ve done well going to the Third Tusk of the Battle of Seven Tusks!!
Siegfried: My name is Siegfried!! The chief of this prison of Alcatraz Island!!
100.
Togashi: Wh…what—a prison---!!
Toramaru: Th…this entire island is a prison---!!
Siegfried: Of course: it’s Alcatraz Island Prison of the Joint Commonwealth of States of the United States of America. This is a point 500 miles from the coast of Manhattan in New York.
(TN: Considering this is a fictional version of the infamous prison of Alcatraz, I guess I need to give you some real information located 1.5 miles off the coast of San Francisco, CA, Alcatraz has not been used as a prison since 1963…even if this chapter was written in the 1990s; currently it is a historic site of the National Park system of the US. So…yeah, this is not the real one. Oh and the name regarding the prison is rather difficult for me to get to but the Japanese version is “Amerika Gasshuukoku Renboushuuritsu Arukatorazu-tou Keimusho”, which I pieced together into the name above: Alcatraz Island Prison of the Joint Commonwealth of States of the United States of America)
Siegfried: Even in our country, which is said to have the highest crime rate in the world, this very prison is the gathering of just the extraordinary criminals with life imprisonment and death sentence………!! Even if you enter, you will not exit; to leave from here from leaving by being a corpse; there isn’t any other method!!
Hakuhou: Ju…just criminals with life imprisonment and death sentences…………!!
Togashi: Wh…what a place………!!
101.
Siegfried: Well, you should come and follow behind me. I will lead you inside.
Momotarou: Fu, let’s go. We’re at a place where we can want to enter once.
Hakuhou: Wh…what exactly are we going to do in this place…………!!
102.
Siegfried: There hasn’t ever been a person who has been successful in escaping from this prison.
Siegfried: Within their cells, the only way for these prisoners to be free is by having a dream……..!! But there is an unbelievable generation in here.
103.
Toramaru: It’s…just a company with terribly brutal mugs………!!
Togashi: Toramaru, do…you have a mug to talk about people?
Siegfried: Here is the underground of this prison.
Siegfried: Well, you should enter inside.
Siegfried: This room is called by people “The Room of Hopelessness”………!! Even in our prison, which may have handed down an order for performing the death penalty even tomorrow, we have imprisoned five especially brutal, atrocious prisoners!!
Momotarou: ……!!
104.
Momotarou: !!
Siegfried: As you can see, five doors are lined up in front of you. Within each room has entered exactly one of five death-penalty criminals as I’ve said now.
Siegfried: I have made a promise to all of them: “All of oyu will come to fight the youngsters of the Orient called Otokojuku!! And thus, if you defeat your opponent, you will leave this prison and will have your freedome, won’t you”!!
105.
Momotarou: Wh…what---!!
Togashi, Toramaru & Hakuhou: We’re fighting these death-penalty criminals---!!
Siegfried: The 3rd floppy disk that all of you want is possessed by someone within these five. Naturally, I don’t have reason to tell you which.
Siegfried: The skill of these five is respectively tremendous. And further, what’s more tremendous than that is their craving and tenacity to be free!! It will be interesting to have whatever power they exhibit when it comes to what exactly it is!!
Siegfried: Well, you should choose your first door!!
TN: I really shouldn't have tried to think too hard or seriously about the existence of "Alcatraz" far off the Eastern seaboard of the US as opposed to...well, the one in San Francisco. Otokojuku just likes to take little things and make new twists and turns in insanity regarding them...thus the need for all the Minmei Publishing entries to explain most of them. Strangely, I do find that the Dark Tusks's new plan tied to it's new leader isn't a bad one, but somehow I just wonder if it really come to any fruition. Sure prisoners are more desperate to battle for survival compared to soldiers-of-fortune, but Otokojuku just seems to have a winning streak against these sorts of weird scenarios whenever they're thrown against one or another. Heck, at least it feels more like a threat compared to before.
