(TN: I know I’ve barely mentioned him a few chapters back, but now is the time to explain Yami Yasha...as well as this chapter’s title. Yami Yasha is a Bo-bobo character actually created for the Game Boy Advance Bo-bobo video game “Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo: 9 Kiwame Senshi Gag Yuugou” [translation: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo: 9 Ultimate Warrior Gag Fusion]. Like many of the other Hudson-made video games, Yami Yasha was used in this game as a secret, ultimate boss character…and like many of this type in these games, he has a second form similar to OVER/Torpedo Girl…but we’ll get into that soon enough. Sawai for some reason decided to use Yami Yasha for the manga, thus “reimporting” him from the GBA)

(TN: Since “omote” stands for “surface” here, that is why I named the enemy “Under Maruhage” with “Ura Maruhage”)

Servents: A REPORT, DARK EMPEROR. THE FOUR OF THE UNDER-MARUHAGE FOUR HEAVENLY KINGS HAVE SAFELY SNUCK INTO THE TOURNAMENT.

TN: Let's get this out there first: Hydrate is just creepy! It's hard to say whether its creepy in a good or a bad way...but he just is creepy! Every time I see him it's like he wants to rip you open limb from limb...but more on him later. The chapter itself felt like it was split in two: the beginning, with the reconfrontation with nuts such as Giga (and those other weaklings we'll never see again like The Yunomi and Chuunosuke...Zetsubou on the other hand may just show himself helpful along the way after standing up to his former boss) and the end, which began the showdown with Yami Yasha. I really don't know why Bo-bobo is just spitting on his old enemies...but it's probably just because they're old enemies. He probably just doesn't want to defeat again those he knows he can knowing him...that and prevent us from repeat performances when we know what he'll pull. On the other hand, Yami Yasha...is interesting in himself...I sort of wonder why Sawai didn't use video game characters prior to this but it is great to see him in the story...even though his other form may or may not be a bit too much for some people...though that's a worry for next time.
