Next Time: The Contents of Stage-Battles Are Revealed--!!

TN: Color me impressed once again. With every week, Sawai just shows off more and more about what he's doing with this series, from the structure of the characters in this world to the means by which the battles take place. With the looseness of how Bo-bobo felt at times with it's battles (even with the rules placed by many Shinken), it just feels great to see something so spontaneous and controlled at the same time. Somehow this chapter was filled with surprises even I really didn't expect. The first of which was...well, Doraji finally came back to Earth. (I figured he would return but I didn't expect it to be the next exact chapter) Sure he has unfinished business with Chagecha...but with the real enemy starting to move, I think the two of them are now more or less are going to be friendly rivals. The second big shocker was...Piyoppi. While I'm happy that Sawai is actually using the schools he set up on the ranks (and Tomoko is hot BTW), the fact that one of the representatives from Science Saimei High (who was actually above the A-ranks but below the four strongest) was a chick...was something only a series like this could pull off. Furthermore it just shows the magic of reading this sort of series week after week: you can just absorb the impact as it comes instead of just reading about it on Wikipedia or some website. (not counting spoilers) Of course, the ending shows the beauty and massiveness of the first battlefield, which, considering is a "typical" one, means we're probably going to have weirder ones much later down the road. I sort of hope the series lasts long enough to show more Yan-Battles like the one that's starting now.
