“Kennou”: THIS MAN HAS SHOWN HIS OWN SELF INTEREST IN A FIST THAT HAS BECOME THE SACREDNESS OF SHINKEN TEMPLE WHILE WITH A BODY AS AN AESTHETIC MONK, DISGRACING IT’S NAME. ACCORDING TO THIS, HE MUST BEAR RESPONSIBILITY BY THE BUDDHIST PRECEPTS OF THIS TEMPLE.
(TN: The Kennou does literally say he has to bear “Buddhist Precepts”, which in Japanese is “Kairitsu”. The actual word for it is “sila”, which is Sanskrit for “virtue” or “good conduct” and is based on the basic morality of the Five Precepts and further have other precepts for those who wish to become monks)
“Bearded Man”: Pl…please forgive me, Kennou!! It…it was merely a sudden impulse!!
“Kennou”: JINSHOU, I LEAVE HIS JUDGEMENT TO YOU.

(TN: “Three Reeds” in Japanese is “Sanshou”; I didn’t quite know whether to leave it in Japanese or not with my previous mention of “Shou” being the ending of all three of the instructors, but somehow I don’t mind calling them the “Three Reeds”, though it also works to call them “Three Shou” with the “Shou” part in reference to their names)

(TN: As I may have explained before, “shutou” refers to an expression of “hand blade”, as in the hand being used like a sword such as the side of a hand)
Momotarou: He…he chopped off both arms with a sharpness that was like a blade………!!

(TN: The kanji proclaimed by Jinshou here is “Han”, which literally has a reading in Japanese of “tub”)
Date: That your degree? Even with that force, it’s simple to avoid it.

Pharaoh: Da..Date said he completely got away from his hand-blade and yet---!!

(TN: A couple things:
-“Shinkenji” is obviously “Shinken Temple”
-“Mukyou Roukaku” = “No-Arrow-Sound Watchtower-Memorization”; the hardest of the kanji of the “kyou”, which has the Chinese definition of “the sound of arrows”)

(TN: As mentioned prior, the “inch” here is “sun”, which is a tenth of a foot, a bit more than an inch)

Jinshou: It seems you’ve realized a bit.
Jinshou: But it’s too late!! There isn’t a way to escape from this Ougi: Mukyou Roukaku.
Date: Fu, how is that? Now those black eyes will be peeled into white eyes.

TN: Alright, you've got my interest again, Miyashita. Strangely enough, Jinshou's Mukyou Roukaku seems like a freakish technique akin to many of the weird and freakish techniques that have gone around in Otokojuku since the beginning, one that seems to have given Date a harder fight than he's had in a while. It does feel ironic, though, that they were giving sentence to another spear user just before Date's fight, but the Kennou probably just wanted Jinshou to give a lesson to Date before entering into battle with him. Of course, hopefully he'll be able to figure it out...but then again Date is probably one of the smartest characters in the series so he probably has something up his sleeve...hopefully. BTW: forgot to ask this but...is it just me or have Pharaoh and Hakuhou just taken over where Togashi and Toramaru left off? Nothing wrong with that but...yeah, those two once actually showed incredible skill but now are the new commentators. Then again...doesn't mean that can't change in a heartbeat.
