(TN: Obviously Nube’s “story” here is a misinterpretation of Yukime’s actual story, and thus I will slightly go over what Nube screwed up:
-When Yukime says she is practicing for an “international figure skating championship”, she ends up saying it as “Kokusai Figua Senshuken”. But when Nube tries to translate what she said, he ends up misspeaking “Figua” as “Fukiya”, which is Japanese for “darts”. Since it obviously involved Nube’s misinterpretation of the words Yukime says, I ended up translating this part as “featured skiing”.
-Likewise, when Yukime says “Watashi no suketto” or “my skating”, Nube misinterprets that as “Watashi no sukaato” or “my skirt”. This one worked well with the “my skirt” part and, as such, remained as is in the translation)

And yes...they did have "Kiss in the Dark" too, their only US hit that actually hit the top 40...and "that infamous variety show"...)

Well...I think the last page explained it all: Mayao was essentially flirting with Yukime, Yukime was too oblivious to realize it...and Nube fell for it hook, line and sinker. I mean, why else would you learn how to be a duo by ...wearing stupid shirts...and living together...and playing Twister? Of course it is weird that we don't even get any sort of sense of Mayao manipulating Yukime like that until the ending. Prior to that moment, it just sort of feels disturbed that Nube would be against what essentially is a style of figure skating in pairs competition. Yeah there are many "duos" who are in love with each other, but many times there are many pair duos that are partners/friends on the ice and really don't do or connect with each other outside the work they do on the ice. Of course, you could make an argument that maybe Nube was going a bit off his rocker with what Yukime was doing at first...but when you saw some of their "training", you probably could figure out that Mayao was using her prior to his revelation at the end. Sure maybe some of it was for real training, but with how close they were...yeah. And as for Nube's jealousy...well it wasn't unwarranted (well OK, going Super Saiyan 3 is a tad strange over a pairs partner), but I guess he really doesn't get ice skating terminology and what happens when two skaters get together. But hey, it was all worth it for all that kakigoori...it is her only real ability, isn't it?
