SFX: Gacha
"Boy": ...A human child? He saw my art.

SFX: Goo

SFX: Boooo

Izuna: Haa...haa...
10.
"Boy": How surprising. It should have been a Youryoku Wave that scatters away about ten normal humans.
Izuna: Ha ha...
Izuna: Get away from the proximity of that child! You're many hundred times stronger than humans...you shouldn't be amused to say you'll kill weaker beings, are you!?
"Boy": Is that so? Is this the moral view of a human?
"Boy": It's because I'm an Oni. It's perfectly amusing: the scream of deadly agony that you humans give by squirming in pain like worms becomes a melody.
SFX: Za za
"Boy": I will present peace of heart to you.

SFX: Doo-----n | Domu domu | Gobaaa
"Boy": N
14.
"Boy": Ahaha, understood. Is that what it is?
SFX: Shuuu
"Boy": Within your unconsciousness, you created an aura barrier. That suppressed the damage. Your low spiritual power is well...I'm certain you're one with a Burning Idiot Strength.
(TN: "Burning Idiot Strength" or "Kajiba no Baka Chikara" is surprisingly the original term in Japanese for Kinnikuman's "Burning Inner Strength" [Kajiba no Kuso Chikara] concept when introduced in the manga; when lead character Suguru Kinniku (the aforementioned Kinnikuman) originally used the inner power within himself, the people who spoke of it originally called it the "Burning Idiot Strength" due to Suguru's character still being seen as an idiot at that point early in the series when it still had comedy leanings, but the term was modified when the series became more serious into the "Burning Inner Strength" it possesses now)
"Boy": You've shown an amusing trick you've conjured...but it's fine already since I understand the source. This time I'll give an attack a bit stronger than before...it will be the Coda with that.
(TN: The "coda" here is actually in Japanese "Saishuu Gakushou", which is given the translation of "coda")
Izuna: S**t...
Boy: Big sis
SFX: Mukuri...
Izuna: Zee zee haa haa...
"Boy": !!
15.
Izuna: Damn you, doing whatever you please. Don't mock Izuna, the thoroughbred Itako.
Izuna: Someone like you won't hurt this child! I absolutely won't lose to someone like you, who takes pleasure in tormenting weak beings!
SFX: Ba
"Boy": No way, that's a bold front. What can be done by y...
"Boy": N, her spiritual power is...rising?
SFX: Kiiiiin... | Pari pari
"Boy": !?
16.
"Boy": Hee...you've further raised the temperature of the flame and raised a photosphere phenomenon...that thing should only be done by beings with considerable spiritual power in the human world. Did this power emerge by protecting a stranger...?
(TN: Somewhat explained back in #108, a "photosphere", also known as "koukyuu" in Japanese, is a region where externally received light originates, in reference to a ball-shaped surface perceived to emit light, usually in a period between the surface of a star to where the gas becomes opaque.)
Izuna: Right: spiritualists are beings who bet their lives so they can rescue people. Yes...I was taught that by him.
Izuna: F**k you, Oni!
SFX: Bo
17.
SFX: Gobaa~~Zudododododo
SFX: Gogogogogo
Izuna: I did it!! That was a hit!
Boy: That was amazing! Big sis!
Izuna: Did it feel like it was natural? Ahaha...
SFX: Zuzuzu...
Izuna: I di...

SFX: Geho | Zuzu...
"Boy": Ah, that's beautiful. Your melody, it's the greatest musical instrument...
Izuna: Da...damn it.
SFX: Dosa | Shushushu

"Boy": Power goes up when protecting a stranger; she was an amusing girl. She said she truly was taught that but...
"Boy": N, humans are coming to gather.
SFX: Zawazawa... | Fuan fuan fuan

"Boy": I'm sorry I made a disturbance before I met with him.

Nube: Where's Izuna!?
Izuna: Su--ha--su--ha--
Nube: !
20.
Tamamo: These are serious wounds on the verge of death. If I was a normal doctor, I would have given up on her. I sent in ki and somehow her wounds were protected but...
Nube: Damn it: why, why Izuna? It's aim should have been me.
Oshou: Izuna-chan! It's me! Oshou of Doumori Temple, open your eyes. I've even bought you the Chanel bag you've wanted.
Tamamo: Nueno-sensei, just a moment.
Tamamo: I still don't know it's aim but...just one thing has become clear: that being is unbelievably brutal. That being seemed like they were going to kill even the child eyewitness.
Tamamo: Now this isn't a problem for just you...it's going to battle with us alongside you.
Nube: But...
Yukime: It seems so, teacher! You'll just be killed even if you fight it alone!
21.
Tamamo: For the time being, I, Nueno-sensei and that yukionna are high in fighting strength...in this situation of some possibility, let's go and battle him as a trio.
Hayame: Um...and me?
Yukime: You will...be the caretaker...right?
(TN: Yukime's term for Hayame's job is "orusuban", which is Japanese for "caretaker" or "house watcher", most likely tied to watching over Izuna after what just happened to her)
Nube: I'm sorry, everyone.
SFX: Bishi
Nube: ...It can't be
SFX: Sha
Kyouko: Eh, what?
Tamamo: It's come.
SFX: Basa basa basa
Nube: !!

SFX: Gogogogogogo
SFX: Tatata...
Miki: That's the Oni? Is he a bit of a Johnnys type?
(TN: Miki's expression of a "Johnnys type" seems to stem in regards to a "teen idol type" in name, created as a term due to "The Johnnys", the first modern "pop idol group" in Japan who originally emerged in 1964)
Kyouko: Dummy
"Boy": I thought I would meet with you if you were attached to the girl.'
Nube: Are you an Oni...
23.
Zekki: Yes...I've come from the Hell of Tapana. My name is Zekki.
(TN: A couple things:
1. We're going to go much further into the cosmology of hell in Buddhism in a couple more chapters, but I can give you a bit of an introduction here due to the terms: Zekki states that where he comes from is "Shounetsu Jigoku", which has a literal translation of "The Hell of Scorching Heat". However, this is also the term for one of the eight "Hot Naraka" ["Naraka" being a type of hell in Buddhism, like "hell" in Judeo-Christian means in name only; likewise I specifically say "Hot Naraka" because there are also "Cold Naraka"] which exist as one of the realms of great suffering generally sent there based upon karma in previous life and allowing for one who suffers through them to make themselves reborn in a higher plain in their next life. To make it a bit more palpable for English readers, I kept the "Hell" term due to the "Jigoku" term being used in Japanese amidst the concept of the Naraka, yet at the same time used the original Buddhist terms for the hells instead of the Japanese translation, thus why the term I used here is "Hell of Tapana"
2. "Zekki", the name of our Oni boy, has a literal translation of "Severing Oni/Cutting Oni")
Tamamo: Hell of Tapana...from a deep hell like that...
(TN: Tamamo's word is true: of the eight "Hot Naraka" I just mentioned, Tapana is the 6th level down, with only two Naraka beneath it)
Nube: What is your objective!?
Zekki: Objective? To release the Oni that is within your hand.
Zekki: The Oni sealed in your hand has a name of "Baki". It's power is incredibly strong, but it's not very smart. That's why it was sealed by some human but...in truth
(TN: A couple things:
1. Nube's Oni, "Baki", has a literal translation of "Supreme Oni"/"Champion Oni".
2. The expression Zekki uses for Baki's mentality is "Atama no hou wa imaichi", which literally is "it doesn't have much of a head", thus why I translated it with "it's not very smart".)
Zekki: He's my big brother.
24.
Nube: Big brother...? Is that true...
Zekki: He's an idiot big brother...a disgrace of the Oni race. Even if you have reason to ignore him, you can't do so forever...I've come with that.
(TN: "Oni Family" is a literal translation of "Onizoku", with the "zoku" being "Tribe" or "Race")
Nube: Right...if that's your objective, then this won't end with discussion.
Nube: This is a hospital. We can't go out and get them entangled. Let's substitute our place.
Zekki: Ahahahahaha...
Zekki: You're wrong: It'll be amusing to have the emergence of many corpses from competing here.
SFX: Oooooh.
25.
Tamamo Here he comes, Nueno-sensei.
Nube: Ku
Yukime: Everyone run, hurry!
Zekki: Well, let's begin the concert; sing out a fantastic symphony.

HADZUKI IZUNA
Hair Color: Lavendar (Purple)
Collar and Skirt of Her Uniform; Eyes: Antwerp Blue (Thick Blue)
Ribbon: Cadmium Red (Red)
Shoes: Burnt Umber (Thick Light Brown)
Please copy it or put it in your computer through a scanner and have fun coloring it in. Further, the color names we've indicated are actually color name of Speedry Markers that are used for coloring the manuscript.
Annotation: Since Speedry melts the toner, they're not suitable for coloring copies.
(TN: "Speedry" is a Japanese brand of marker)
TN: Wow...I never thought I would see the day where such a brutal beat down would occur in this series. Heck, I sort of feel surprised/shocked that we would get such a brutal, battle-only chapter in Nube in the first place. But then again...with all that's going on with essentially the Oni of Nube's left hand little brother coming to clean up after the mess of big brother being trapped with Nube...it is understandable. There is a bit of somewhat interesting news about what goes on here and how it sort of affects the series, but I'll get into that once we're past this part of the story.
As for the chapter at hand, it essentially was Izuna's battle with Zekki outside the slight explanation of Zekki's motives at the end. In this battle, it seems like we further have an explanation regarding the battle style of power that this series exhibits that, for the most part, has merely just been part of the lore up to now: even if someone isn't that powerful technically, their power drastically is multiplied if they are fighting for someone other than themselves. Sure you could say some of this is tied with the whole "power of friendship" that many manga/anime use, especially if associated with Jump...but the fact that Izuna was able to hold out against Zekki as long as she did probably had less to do with her own will and more with protecting that child long enough before Zekki was noticed for making too much of a disturbance. You could probably also hint that maybe this power is also tied with who Izuna was protecting in the midst of the chaos: a random child Zekki decides to attack because...well, he's just an evil, smug bastard. Considering the priority that these characters have in saving/helping/protecting children, seeing that occur probably was just a means to increase Izuna's power even further than it would have been on it's own. (since it worked so well with Nube all this time) But in this case, it was understandable: Zekki had no concerned on who he wanted to kill to bring Nube out in the open and Izuna wanted to save someone other than herself to finally show some more unselfishness that she does have in her but usually chooses to ignore because...well, she's Izuna. As futile as it all was, it showed she had the intention in her and that even she had the power to make great things happen...if she could focus in on it properly and now always act the way she is.
BTW: remember some of Zekki's words about Baki, the Oni in Nube, for future reference...
