TN: Instrumentality...you know if it weren't for a hint I read somewhere in Japanese, I really wouldn't have made the connection between the insanity of this chapter and Evangelion. Heck, outside that and Tennosuke's infamous "ripped to shreds" bit, I have a hard time figuring out where the Eva references end and where they begin! Sure I've seen the series and even own the DVD, but I've only seen the full series once and haven't memorized it by heart. It's rather hard for anyone now to not realize that Sawai is probably a huge EVA fan like he was a fan of everything from Dragonball and Hokuto no Ken to Yu-Gi-Oh!...well either that or it was just natural to do this in some reason or another. Of course, making matters worse is the whole paradox created about Be-bebe turning into a cat: it was Don Patch and the power of Ganeme that did it, yet at the same time Ganeme never existed until this very fight...which means all the other memories should have had glasses when they fought them way back...but they didn't cause they were just changed by the Ganeme attack which means...well, maybe it's just something we shouldn't think about too much: it's a bizarre paradox and Be-bebe turned into a cat thanks to those two weirdoes. Well at least one bit of good news: with Be-bebe being the last guardian, only Hydrate remains in the Under-Maruhage force...and we'll be getting to him next time!
