Minako: I don't have a physical body, but I do have a soul that is overflowing with strong "ki". If I enter into this person's physical body...
Minako: In short: if the souls of myself and Ritsuko-sensei fuse and become one, her life will be saved!

(TN: Nube here merely just says "Ii", but I didn't know if it was "you're saying?" or "Well?" or "Fine", so I just went with "wha?")

(TN: The "Rinako-sensei" is obviously a fusion of "Ritsuko" and "Minako"; and unlike when Nube turns into his youshin form, I'm actually going to make it "Rinako since it's two becoming one...and not merely an avatar like the youshin)
Old Woman: What were you doing outside in spite of this cold? Please eat this zousui.
(TN: "Zousui" is a rice soup with pre-cooked rice, vegetables and water making up it's contents.)
Nube: We're sorry.
Nube: So then, your memories and your feelings have gotten mixed with your two personalities becoming one, having you end up as one person...
Rinako: Yes, seems so.

Rinako: For example: Ritsuko hates takuan and Minako likes takuan, but
(TN: "Takuan" is a popular type of pickle made out of daikon radish)
Rinako: Aah, it's gross, it's gross; more please.
(TN: Not sure if I translated this right but "Rinako's Minako side" ended up saying "Akawari" when she finished her takuan, which seemed to me like she was enthusiastic, leading to my translation here)
Nube: This makes me very radish.
(TN: Nube's pun here works better in Japanese: he ended up calling Rinako's condition as "Daikonran", which is a fusion of "daikon" [as in daikon radish] and "konran", the Japanese word for "chaotic". I tried to make it work with Nube's "radish" joke but I doubt it did)
Rinako: For example: Ritsuko is cowardly and Minako is sitting on guts.
SFX: Su----...
Rinako: Gyaaaa!

Rinako: That's what I'm saying. Best regards.

Voice: Nube is worried...Minako-sensei is the honroable teacher I yearned to be. Ritsuko-sensei said she still likes me...
(TN: Yeah, "Nube" did refer to himself in the 3rd person here...)

(TN: We're going to find out more about this youkai not in this chapter but in the supplimental for the chapter after this one. But in the meantime, it's literal translation is as "Two-Face Exorcism-Loding")

Nube: Its said to possess two faces and eight limbs and possess a powerful weapon...it's a great youkai that appears even in "Nihon Shoki"...it has appeared many times in the Hida region...and finally that was sealed by the Gyokirin.
(TN: A couple things:
1. The "Nihon Shoki", which I've explained before, is a book that is the second oldest of Japanese literature and stated to be a chronical of the history of Japan
2. The Hida region is a region within the Gifu region of Japan, which is in the central-western section of the nation.)

#42: Prayer Shingon

"Shingon" are things like spells that are chanted in Sanskrit. The one that was the most well used is what is called "The Hope Shingon", which will be pointed out next.

Further, there exist Shingon in particular that satisfy respective Buddha. Representative ones are written down beneath. It may be cool if you chant these as good luck charms.

(TN: I ended up translating all of the Sanskrit prayers into the Japanese katakana as was written prior. Therefore I probably didn't translate it proper and just did so based on what I saw. As for the Buddha mentioned here:
-Yakushi Nyorai (Bhaisajyaguru) - Buddha of Medicine, Tathgata of Healing
-Monju Bosatsu (Manjusri) - Bodhisattva associated with transcendant wisdom, also believed in Japan to be the inventor of homosexuality
-Jizou Bosatsu (Ksitigarbha) - Bodhisattva of children (as we've encountered before)
-Fudou Myouou (Acalanatha) - Personification of Dainichi Nyorai, uses his power to turn anger into salvation and scare people into accepting the teachings of Buddha
-Miroku Bosatsu (Maitreya) - The future Bodhissatva who will be the messiah and the succesive Buddha.
-Senju Kannon (Avalokitesvara) - Bodhisattva of compassion
-Kokuuzou Bosatsu (Akasagarbha) - Bodhisattva of wisdom and memory
-Dainichi Nyorai (Vairocana) - The great cosmic Buddha and the embodiment of emptiness.)

TN: This was not a good weekend for me to translate, I admit to that. Sure I got quite a bit done, but it wasn't a good period for me to really do some of the research required for it or concentrate on the little things such as getting it up. Then again...the Rinako-sensei arc just isn't one of my favorite Nube stories and I just felt very dragged down with each chapter of the story I did, even with the extras still having to get done.

As I may have mentioned in the last chapter, the return of Minako-sensei is somewhat more awkward and just seems to make things more disturbing than they should be, particularly when she and Ritsuko fuse into that "Rinako-sensei" conglomerate for the rest of the story. Again, I shall reiterate something I said last time: this is Nube's teacher hitting on his younger student as a ghost who has fused with a woman he once liked after all the crap she's been through, all the crap she puts Nube through, and everything that's been going on. The biggest problem in the creation of Rinako-sensei is that it just seems like they want to portray it as the best of Ritsuko and Minako in one strange combined body, but she seems to just have way more of Minako-sensei dominating her with just flashes of Ritsuko. Again: this is Nube's teacher hitting on her student, yet still claiming it is Ritsuko doing all of this and not her in the fused form...I just don't even know. I get Minako dying young, but it still is her and the factor she could take over Ritsuko's body like that just disturbs me in the way she acts when using her body. I get it was to save her life but it feels more like the only thing it is doing is pissing off Yukime. And speaking of said yukionna...she is probably the only good thing in this chapter, yet even so this is just a premonition of the mess the arc is going to end up. When it takes Yukime showing up to save a chapter, you know that she both has the power and domination at this point...and that without her it was just going to get more and more disturbing...well her and Ryoumen Sukuna, but we got one more chapter of this mess to get through before we can call it a day.
