TN: And so the mask is finally removed...and there he is, Softon's true form...officially. (not counting the insane start to the previous chapter which ignored everything that really happened to reveal it first) You need to wonder why Sawai really didn't go into this matter much sooner in the story: sure he has hinted at it a few times (once in Softon's very first appearance, another way back in Z-Block) but the Softon/Beauty connection has mostly been ignored outside a few subtle moments here or there! Maybe this was part of the big plan...but at the same time this probably could be due to Softon really not being that popular. (heck, you saw Don Patch trying to trade his position in the ranks during the 3rd fight, people just don't like poop-faced weirdoes) But hey, he had no choice: Icen was there and he saw his sister in bathroom equipment being killed...if it weren't for the tragedy it would just be considered ridiculous. Surprisingly outside the Softon situation (and Tennosuke being ignored after crashing through on a massive tofu cube...but that's par for the course), the chapter mostly seemed to get on my nerves, whether it's just Hell Dolphin going on and on about his contest origins or the fact that it didn't really feel like a real battle. Maybe it will be fixed up next time...but with Softon's situation only going to go from bad to worse, who knows what next time will be like!
