言われてみれば微かに妖気は感じるが何も見えん　どういうことだ？
Now that you mention it I vaguely sense something, but I can't see it. What is it?
最初はもっと小さかったのにどんどん大きくなっちゃって。。。

「見越し入道」のことか？
So it's a Mikoshi-nyuudo*, huh.
「伸び上がり」とも言われるように見上げれば見上げる程背が伸びて
The longer you look up at him, the taller he grows.
しかも本人しか姿を認識できないことからして。。。おそらく
But I don't think anybody can see him except the person he looks at... probably.

TL note: According to legend, Mikoshi-nyuudo was a youkai who appeared as a crosseyed monk on the side of the road. When you stared at him, he would grow taller. If he grew tall enough, you would die, unless you chanted "mikoshita" ("I see higher") at which point he would disappear.

This is Hanzou. Do you read me?

そいつの正体は「見越し入道」だ
Its true form is a Mikoshi-nyuudo.
頭から足にかけて視線を落とした後　「ミコシタ」と唱えれば消滅する
Look him up and down slowly from head to toe, then chant "mikoshita" and he will dissipate.
