mmm... I should have explained this before, but I forgot. The "saigo" in the title and in "last request" is not 最後 which means last in a more general sense, but 最期 which refers to one's death or last moments. For example, it can be used in phrases such as "last words," "meet your end," or "I will fight to the death." "Saigo no (o)negai" could also be interpreted as "dying wish."

Shizuka really hadn't done much up 'til now. It's been so easy to completely forget about him. But wow...
