Since I didn't have a neat little place of my own to put it, I figured here would work. Go ahead and pick away at the translation if you'd like. Oh, and any translation of mine belongs to Bakafish, so they'll be the ones scanlating anything I translate unless I specify otherwise.
NJT sent me this one. Fairly amusing.
Bakafish will be scanlating this series, but before we do it I'd like to offer translations to this community so other people can help out to make it the best translation it can be. While it may not be one of the most popular manga out there, it is fairly amusing.

1There's probably a reason this is in katakana. Edit: And there is, solved. Heidiko.
2I prefer Turtle Head Alley for this translation, but loose stool is technically more accurate.
3Yeah, no clue.
4ワイ will be translated as various forms of excitement, and not always the same thing.
5Mrs. or Ms., not really sure at the moment. Don't know if she's married or not.
Alrighty, that's about it for the first chapter. I skipped over some sfx here and there. And I imagine there may be mistakes in it, because I'm really freaking tired, my allergies are kicking in, and I'm going to go sleep for a week or so.

Ah- is it OK if I post up the chapter so people can check it out? Or would you rather scanlate it before hand?
And another thing, just so you know Urayasu is the name of the city not the main family. (you probably knew that, just want to make sure others do too :p)
And yeah, knew it was the city, but there wasn't much else to do for the title. The title's alright isn't it? Best I could get for the moment.

(about the woo, not sure if this is how you show someone who is fat speaks... since it takes on more of an oink.... but since japanese use it even in conjugation it might get tricky... but yeah... :s not sure what would work here :p)
and that's it~ now on to chap 2 :)
As for note 1 where the character's name is Haiji-ko, it's a reference to the character Heidi of the Alps (hence why it is in katakana). The joke is carried further by her drinking water from the alps, having mountain goats all around her, and having YAMAgami as a last name.
I think you have her name as Yamamoto though, so you might wanna fix that as well.
Again though, awesome job!
