Star Children 9

Reserved for Pinoy

{Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed with the developments}

421
p1
Open the door...
What do you mean, Yuuto!?
nb: The leader's unbelievable decision is to give up!!
The awaited tankoubon Vol 1 goes on sale on Feb 17 (Fri)!!
STAR CHILDREN
Kida Masashi
#9 To the Sky

p2
I'll open the door and let a doctor look at Kasugai-san

p3
Do you even understand what you're saying!?
If you open the door, we'll all be expelled from class A!!

p4
I know that!!

p5

422
p1
Then what!?
I won't get it if you don't explain properly!!

p2
Even if you ask me to explain
It's just like I said

p3
Even I realize that we should let a doctor examine Kasugai
But she might get better tomorrow
//We don't know yet!!

p4
That might be true, but you can't keep saying that until Kasugai-san gets well!!

p5
The three of us couldn't clear today's assignment
//There's no guarantee that we'll be able to clear the next one with the three of us again
Naturally, if we don't complete our assignments, we don't get food

423
p1
In that case
It's possible that Kasugai-san's symptoms will get even worse than they are now

p2
Before it comes to the worst case
I think I have to make the decision now!!

p3/4

p5
Wa- Wait a minute, aren't you thinking too far ahead!?
Kasugai's sickness might be a simple cold
//Besides, this is only training

424
p1
Before it comes to worst, the school itself will put a stop to it!!

p2
Yeah
I think so too

p3
R- Right!!?
In that case...

p4
But we can't let that happen

p5
Wh- Why!?
What are you trying to say!?

p6
If we suppose that this training were a real mission in space
If the school stops it, it will mean the failure of the mission

425
p1
If a mission fails due to a crew member's ill health
Then not choosing to discontinue it before that is a failure of judgment

p2
...Certainly, if you look at it that way, then compared to opening the door and being expelled from class A
We might receive an even lower evaluation

p3
B- But still
Being expelled after getting all the way here...

p4
I don't want to drop out of class A either
...But more importantly

426
p1
Seeing someone suffer right in front of me and leaving them alone
I hate that even more!!

p2/3

p4
I- I don't like it either!!
Neither do I

p5
Gaku, Shibata-san
...So then

p6
Wa- Wa- Wait
Wait a minute!!

427
p1
I understand that we need to open the door for Kasugai's sake!!
I agree with that

p2
But what are we going to do about Sirius?
If we drop out of class A, won't we be unable to get into Sirius!?

p3
What are you planning, Yuuto!?
Eh!?

p4
...Err
What the hell! You haven't thought of anything!?

p5

p6
...No
//There might be one way
What!?

428
p1
...My dad
I'll explain the situation to him and ask for his help

p2
Your dad...
Subaru Daichi, the head of the 1AS Dept

p3
But Yuuto...
Isn't your father opposed to you becoming an astronaut!?

p4
Yes
...But there's no other way

p5
At least, I'll ask him to make sure you all can stay in class A

p6

p7
I see. Yes, ask him
Fujino-kun!?

429
p1
Did you think I'd say that!!?
Moron!!

p2
Ouch...!
What are you doing, Gaku!?

p3
Right back at you, what are you saying!?
Don't mess around!!

p4
I'm not messing around!!
I'm seriously...

p5
Ouch! Hold on, timeout!!

p6
Do you think I'll go along with this kind of a backroom deal!?
If that's what it takes, no thanks!!

430
p1
If I get into Sirius like that
There's no way I can build a worthy ship!!

p2
Gaku...

p3

p4
If we drop out of class A, it doesn't mean that the road to Sirius is completely sealed off
Eh!?
Really!?

p5
Class A is the main gateway into Sirius
But it doesn't mean we absolutely have to pass through it

p6
In the past, there are examples of someone from class B getting into Sirius
Really!?
Who was it!?

431
p1
Amami Kousei was one of them
nb: Kousei...!?

p2
So Kousei was from class B...
And he went on to Sirius... And then became one of the Jupitneer 11

p3
Yeah!!
Then we still have plenty of possibilities!?

p4
No
//If you speak of possibility, it's infinitely close to 0
It's a very narrow and difficult path

p5
It's alright anyway

432
p1
Even if it's infinitely close to 0, it's still not 0. I won't give up!!
I'll be sure to join Sirius from class B!!

p2
I can't lose to Kousei!!

p3
Now that I've heard about it, I can't give up either!!
I wasn't going to give up from the start

p4
...
What?

433
p1
Alright! Let's open the door before someone changes their mind!!
Not yet, Gaku

p2
Not everyone has voted

p3
Hmm!?

p4

p5
You mustn't...
Open the door!!

p6
Ugh...

434
p1
I told you
We should've opened it without telling Kasugai

p2
...You must've known... That I would say so
Subaru-kun

p3
Yeah

p4
...
Then why... did you come to tell me this?

p5
You thought that if you told me, I wouldn't be hurt?

p6
I didn't
...But

435
p1
I thought that you'd be hurt even more if we didn't tell you

p2

p3
Kasugai-san, you're proud, and you have a strong sense of responsibility
If we didn't tell you, you'd feel that all of this was your fault

p4
...You're very blunt

p5
Well, don't feel so bad about it!!
You can still join Sirius even from class B!!

p6

p7
...I see

436-438

439
p1
Hey, Subaru, everyone's assembled already
box: ---Six months later

p2
I'm coming!!

p3
Hurry up!!

p4/5/6
