Woooww...I think I have an explanation..


It seems CCS!Sakura and Syaoran aren't TRC!Syaoran's parents. The other adults (the ones who appeared behind TRC Sakura and Syaoran) are they're real parents, and alternate version of CCS!Sakura and Syaoran. I guess CCS!Sakura gave the other Sakura her star wand, who gave it to Yuuko so her son can go to Clow. That still (unfortunately) doesn't explain a lot of unanswered questions >.<

Etou, for the "Zettai Daijoubu dayo", it is the trademark phrase of CCS!Sakura, and thus, it is expected that it would be repeated more than once ^^
All we know is that the Mother!Sak was the one who pay Yuuko her staff, not that she is CCS!Sakura ^^
So, I think that the middle-schooler!Sak is the CCS!Sak because her staff, as Yuuko said, is unique.
Therefore, the Parent!SakxSyao are not those from CCS... probably ^^ I am not CLAMP after all :))

Hm, wasn't aware that was a catchphrase. To my eternal shame, I'm primarily familiar with CCS via the massacred English dub (this was ages ago, all right? >_<), and a little through the official English manga. Never really got around to reading it in its original form.

And thanks for those interpretations. I was vaguely thinking the same thing (Parents are alternates of CCS versions; the dream scene was CCS Sakura handing her staff to Parent Sakura), and since others seem to have got the same thing from it, I guess that's probably right ~~

Mm, I think I'll just edit in favour of that assumption.

Thanks for the translation! This one is a little less confusing that the Spanish one I read earlier.

So you have the same problem as I have. We don't know which Sakura is which, and it seems we've landed with a fourth one! The exact same as the CCS!Sakura from the CCS manga, giving the very same staff to the grown up Sakura who is Jr's mother and also has the cards with her?! And needs the staff to help them live.

Yep, pretty much the same I thought at first and that doesn't make any sense.

Thank you especially for the side notes. It's a relief not to be the only one freaking about this jumble.

Hm, doing that edit just reminded me of the one thing that struck me as odd about that interpretation, which is CCS!Sakura's "This is a very precious thing to you, isn't it?" All things considered, I would find that line much more natural if Mother!Sakura was saying it to CCS!Sakura. But... I guess it's supposed to be "it's important to you" in the sense of "you have need of it more than I"? Hm.

At first I thought of it as precious too, but then rethinking it, I agree that it probably means that Parent!Sakura needs it more than CCS!Sakura.

Thanks for the translation as always (I'm a lurker). It really clarified some confusion I had on pg 6 with "kashite kurete". I got really confused with the ni particle there, but it makes sense now that I see your translation. ^^

I noticed the inverted Sakura spread too. I wonder if that's significant in any way...

Thank you so much for the translation! We fans really appreciate all this work and time you've devoted to translating this manga, and without it, we wouldn't be here. *hugs*

Certainly an interesting chapter, no doubt. Just when I thought I had finally got a hold of everything that was going on....but no, CLAMP just had to smack us in the face with alternate copies and dimensions....*laughs*
