She's always liked stories about fairies since she was a kid, and her life's dream ended up being "to become a fairy". She only joined Fairy Tail because the name caught her interest, and she never really had any interest in it beyond that, so she never got on very well with the others, and ended up isolating herself somewhat. Her specialty is Stone Eyes, a magic that turns anyone whose eyes she meets into stone, and so she generally wears glasses, though she doesn't actually need them, to hold back that power. Thanks to her strength, she was scouted for Luxus' bodyguard team, the "Raijinshuu".
