Mirajane: We're nakama, you know... // Fellow members of the same Guild... // Smiling together... Laughing together...... // Walking together...
Fried: Sh... Shut up!!! I have only one nakama; Luxus!!!!
Mirajane: That's not true, though, is it? // I'm sure you must have realised...

Mirajane: I don't think it's completely such a bad thing to cling to one single person... // ...but you have any number of people all around you. // People are always connected to one another.
[Background:]
Arzack: C'mon, Fried, help us out with the preparations for Fantasia!
Reedus: Hey... would you mind modelling for a picture for me? // You have some pretty good looks there, after all.
Kana: Hey, Fried... why don't we have a drink sometime, yeah?
Natsu: Gimme a match, Fried, just you and me!!
Erza: You have quite some skill. // I'd say you could handle S-rank missions, in fact. You should ask Master about it sometime.
Makarov: Make sure Luxus doesn't go doing anything stupid for me, would you, eh? // Fried.
Mirajane: You see? // Just reach out your hand, and there's someone right here...

17
Mirajane: It's when people realise how lonely it is being on their own... // ...that they start to become kind. // You know that really, don't you?

18
Fried: *sniff* // Aaahhh... // I never... wanted... to do all this...
Mirajane: I know... I know.
