Bleach 235

Script Notes: First off, I have to say that going through this script in a literal fashion earlier today produced something that I just didn't have fun with. It didn't have any of that panache that I came to expect from some of my favorite characters (Urahara & Grimmjow). Therefore, this week, I went back to my liberal translation roots and decided to have some fun with what I had.

Hope you guys like it as much as did in making it, I think it's one of the better flowing ones I've done. Once more, link-back policy is in effect with my scripts; but feel free to use it for scanlations/further retranslations to other languages.

Yammi: ...Wh...What the...! Luppi bought the farm... big time...! Shit! That's what happens when you don't play hardball, moron! At this rate...

Urahara: ...Good ol' Aizen-sama'll drop a heavy hand----♪

浦原をなぎ払おうとするヤミーだが、避けられる。
(Yammi takes a shot at Urahara which is easily avoided.)

ヤミー：てめえ・・・！！何で・・・。
Yammi: You...!! How...

浦原：なんで生きてんだーーーっ・・・スか？さあて、なんででしょ？
Urahara: How did I survive---...that? C'mon, can't you take a guess?

ヤミー：・・・ナメてんのかてめえ・・・訊いてんのは俺だろうが。訊き返してんじゃ・・・ねぇ よ！！！
Yammi: ...You're getting pretty cheeky... I'll do the asking around here. You're biting off... more than you can chew!!!

(Yammi lets off another Bala.)

ヤミー：はっ！！バカが！！コナゴナ━━・・・
Yammi: Hah! See, fool!! You're mi------...

浦原：あれだけ山程撃つとこ見たんだ。
Urahara: That's been quite enough of that already.

Urahara: Old cards can't beat my hands twice.

Translation Notes: Literally, Urahara's saying that he won't be hit again by the Bala. The card game motif will repeat itself later in their dialogue.

瞬時に背後に回ってそういうと、ヤミーに一撃食らわせる。
(Yammi is hit by Urahara speeding to his flank.)

浦原：・・・理解できないっスよね？さっきの『虚弾』の嵐には全弾命中の手応えがあった。なのにどうしてお 前はケロッとしてんだ・・・ってね。答えは、コレっス。
Urahara: ...Do you need the lesson this time? Every one of your "Bala" fired earlier found their mark, true enough. Now, you follow with a classic "You.. how...?" line. And this is why.

そういうと風船のようなものを膨らませる。するとその風船が浦原そっくりにかわる。
(At that, Urahara inflates an unknown object which looks just like him.)

ヤミー：・・・・な・・・！？
Yammy: ...Wh...!?

浦原：ケータイ用義骸っス！
Urahara: It's a Gigai-on-the-go!

ヤミー：何だそりゃ！？そんなもん見たことも聞いたこともねえぞ！！
Yammy: Say what!? I've never heard of such a ridiculous gadget!!

だって、作ってからまだ誰にも見せてないっスもん。いやァ、試しに作ってみたはいいけどけっこー扱いが難しいんスよ、コレ。多分アタシ以外の人に渡しても使いこなせないっス。身代わりとして使おうにも入れ替わるタイミングが難しいし・・・
Urahara: Yeah, well you have to blame that on it being hot off the workbench. It's really unpractical for regular use with it being a prototype and all. Chances are there won't be anyone else who can use it as, err, "well" as I do. You can't really get the timing for the body swap down pat in my case...

Urahara: Anyway, mind if you give me some feedback? The body swap went off without a hitch, right?

ヤミー：くそがあっ！！

浦原：わかんない人だな、言ったでしょ。
Urahara: I guess it hasn't sunk in yet;

Urahara: I've seen through that hand already.

ヤミーのバラを小さな血霞の盾で相殺する浦原。
(Urahara summons Bloodmist to block the incoming Bala.)

浦原：さっきの間に技の霊子構成は解析しました。発射に至るまでの筋肉の動きのクセもね。その2つさえ解れ ば、かわすことも、タイミングを合わせて相殺することもできる。まぁそれなりに難しいっスけど 。・・・さて
Urahara: Before this little chat, I took notice of the Bala's composition. The energy within it, and your musculature when it's fired, all of them are in my head. So long as they remain so, dodging the attack is a breeze and complete counters are within my grasp. It'll be a bit more before I can pop a few of those off... but

(Ichigo is down on all fours.)

一護：はっ、はっ・・・く・・・そ・・・ッ
Ichigo: Huff, huff... g...d-damn...

仮面を被る動作をする一護だが仮面の形を保つことができない。ＧＪＪに蹴られ吹っ飛ぶ一護。
(Ichigo tries to rematerialize his mask, but it loses its shape. Grimmjow gives him a solid boot that sends him sprawling.)

ＧＪＪＪ：バッ
Grimmjow: Feh.

ＧＪＪＪ：どうやらさっきの仮面は一度壊れたらもう出せねえらしいなァ！・・・いや、出す構えを取るってこ とはそういう訳でも無えのか・・・。
Grimmjow: Looks like that Halloween prop's single-use! ...Then again, you don't seem to be out of hope yet...

ＧＪＪＪ：だがダメージを受けすぎたせいか、霊力を削られちまってるせいか、それとも回数制限か、何が理由かは知らね えがとにかくあの仮面は━━今はもう出せねえ、そうだろ？
Grimmjow: But either you've soaked up too much punishment, you've sapped your tank to fumes, or you've reached your usage limit...

Grimmjow: Whatever your excuse is, that thing's out of commission, right?

一護の手に刀を刺すＧＪＪＪ。そしてセロを構える。
(Grimmjow pins Ichigo's hand down with his weapon and readies another Cero.)

心配すんな、この距離での虚閃だ、仮面を被る、頭ごと消してやるよ！
Grimmjow: Save the tears of regret, a Cero this close oughta take that unmasked mug clean off!

Translation Notes: There were no furigana provided for this Sodeno Shirayuki move this time. From now on, I'll go ahead with the English approximations in these kinds of new term cases and put in the original Japanese later when the raw comes out along with page numbers. The second kanji in the term is "sazanami" or small wave/ripple. I wasn't feeling the ripple vibe by reading the text so I changed it in for pulse. Perhaps I'll rescind it when I see what it looks like in the chapter.

Ichigo: Huff... haah... That's pretty handy... did you always have... that...

ルキア：喋るな、ただでさえ抜きづらいのだ。余計手間取るではないか・・・貴様こそ随分と無茶な力を遣った ようだな・・・ガタガタだぞ・・・
Rukia: Relax for a bit, this is already hard enough with you as tense as you are. I swear, making things complicated again... besides you can't lecture me with that stunt you just pulled off... You're looking brittle...
