Those Free to Loiter
have built muscle in an interesting way.
Raki is watching over the Claymores' battle... what is the objective of the two awakened beings that appeared before his eyes!?
An ordinary human with no connection at all to youma flesh and blood
is carrying a huge sword
and has built muscle like how he might if he fought the way we do.
It's not a sword technique intended for use against humans.
Where and from whom did you learn the sword?
The era of male warriors...
I've been told that such folks existed in the very early days for a very short time.
In that case, I have something to ask you too.
The name of my sword teacher is Isley.
We lived together until a few years ago.
He picked me up in the lands of the North, and I thought he was human at first.
But being with him for several years,
little by little it dawned on me that he was not a mere human.
After a while, another person and I left him. We were practically driven away.
That's why I don't know anything about who or what he is, even though I owe him a lot.
Of all possible answers, that's probably the name I least expected...
(Lit.: Of all things, an unthinkable / unexpected name appears)
Isley was the warriors' first generation's number 1...
in other words, the man that was the strongest warrior at the time.
The first generation's
He was strong,
so strong that you could bundle together all the folks that you hung out with and they still couldn't win against him.
There was a huge gap in power even to the number two of the time.
That's why I've never seen anything close to his true power during our era as warriors.
In any case his strength was bottomless.
He was the very last one of the single digits to awaken,
but now that I think about it, it doesn't even seem that he needed to.
For us, it happened for various reasons but mostly against our will, but
he eventually just went and awakened of his own volition.
I think that he probably wanted to settle things with us who had already awakened.
Though he didn't look the part, he had a pretty strong sense of responsibility.
But awakening changes one's consciousness completely.
Once it happens, the human consciousness disappears and your way of thinking changes over completely to our side.
After his awakening, Isley should have walked the same path that we did, but
now that I think about it, the fact that he disposed of so many awakened beings during the northern campaign could have been an after-effect of this.
That said, it's the result of destroying every single Northern town.
I'm sure the inhabitants weren't too happy.
(Lit. From the inhabitants' point of view, it's not something that they endured / put up with.)
Even Isley has recently been brought down by the organization's weapons.
With that, we two are the last of the male era's warriors.
You don't seem surprised at all.
Did you know?
but before we parted, he seemed as if he was cornered.
I had a feeling that he might be sensing his time of death.
Even the fact that he chased us out
felt as if he might have done it to avoid getting us involved in something.
I can't believe he'd think like that after he awakened.
His thinking was probably along the lines of playing to the end the game of make-belief family that he started for fun.

Oh dear, our time is up.
And we didn't get to ask any of our questions yet.
I'll just ask briefly:
Do you know that monster that exceeds the abyssal ones?
When she got resurrected, she may have needed our power, but
she should have had enough strength to wipe out the folks around her in an instant.
Yet she came straight to us without touching those around her at all.
In the sequence of events, that one part just doesn't make sense.
That's what led me to you... not a warrior, not female, the one irregular existence there.
Shall I consider
that silence to be your answer?
Why would you guys, who made it out of there without a single injury,
go out of your way to pay this city a visit?
Depending on your answer,
we will take you on with our full battle power.
I'm sure you already know, but
less than half, only nine, were able to dodge the attack of the monster that exceeds the abyssal ones unscathed.
They're keeping greater distance to that monster and watching how things turn out,
all the while getting hungrier and hungrier.
We're planning to leave without doing anything,
we just came to warn you to be extremely careful.
After you leave here...
Will you guys flee from the eyes of the monster that exceeds the abyssal ones,
hold your breath and live quietly from now on?
A miserly life of looking for scraps of meat,
scattered left-overs from the messy eating of a being far stronger than yourselves?
Watch your tongue...
(Lit. Restrain your mouth)
Let it be, Lars.
It's just a cheap provocation.
What are you trying to say,
ladies of the rebellion?
We are planning by our own free will
to fight that monster that exceeds the abyssal ones.
From your perspective, it's probably mere recklessness, but
if there's a chance to defeat her, wouldn't you actually want to defeat her as well?
Very well, for my reference, let me hear about that possibility you mention.
But if it's not interesting, I'll personally perform the last rites over your dead bodies, right here and now.
The abyssal one that's heading this way...
first we'll bring it back to its senses.
Right now it's being led by the one exceeding the abyssals... by Priscilla's will.
Most likely it is heading for this land in order to be absorbed.
If that happens, the fight between those two will mostly likely be settled on the spot.
Its overwhelming power should far surpass the power of the will-less life-form
When that happens, there won't be anything at all left that we can do.
(Lit. When that happens, the measures that we can take will completely disappear.)
That monster that is already impossible to handle even at the best of times will reach a completely new level.
(lit. area / region / sphere)
we want to prevent that at all costs.
If things turn out well, we will proceed to send the awakened abyssal one against her.
(lit. smash the awakened one into her)
And our strength...
if we add another large power to it, the possibility of defeating her increases even more.
I don't think
that you guys would find this story boring...
You're right, it's not boring,
but pretty worthless.
Do you really think it'll all turn out well?
Like I said from the beginning, I'm talking about a possibility.
If all goes well, the possibility of defeating her is not zero.
And in truth,
can only be achieved with the members that are here right now.
You're quite persuasive.
(Lit. your mouth is good)
I'm beginning to see how you managed to control all warriors and destroy the organization.
I don't mind sharing your thoughts with the others, but
no matter what, the first to move will be you guys.
Whether or not we then decide to move
depends on your strength.
Looks like you're throwing your lot in with theirs?
If you get the timing right,
you might become a stronger blade against her than anyone else here.
A stronger blade
than anyone else here...
Are you okay, Raki?
Did you get hurt?
Just what did you talk about?
Ah no... they found it strange that a man mingled with the warriors,
and asked who or what I am...
Don't make me worry so much...
what is the abyssal one up to?
It increased its speed once and has been maintaining a regular speed since then.
And in the internal conflict between the two that exceed the abyssals, neither is quitting its struggle for supremacy either.
So the situation is unchanged, huh...
Do you think the awakened will make a move?
At least I've suggested a course of action.
As long as they even slightly consider the possibility of fighting together with us,
that should make it less likely that they will think of attacking and eating the inhabitants of this city.
I can only hope so...
We will now put our plan into action.
Proceed to your individual battle stations!
Our target is the abyssal one approaching from the East.
Based on her technique, it is probably the former number 1 that holds the nickname "Dust Eater",
She's the last of the abyssal ones that the organization resurrected.
She's finally here...
Her destination lies ahead of here...
it's probably Rabona...
To think that the gathering spot for the strongest monsters would be the holiest city of this land...

What's with this youki...
The abyssal of the West...?
Chronos. this youki is really...
it's not the abyssal of the West...
It's something else...
that's similar to the abyssal of the West...
The youngest ever to awaken, the abyssal of the West, Riful... will her remains bring on new calamity...!?
