厚沢： 勇ちゃんと席までとなりとはな。。。
Atsuzawa: Oh, right next to Yuu-chan’s seat.

Atsuzawa: Is your leg all right?

潮： はあ。。。すんません！
Ushio: Yeah…thanks…


勇： ごめんなさい　ごめんなさい！
Yuu: Sorry! Sorry!

潮： いやあ。。。オレもぼけーっとしてたし。。。
Ushio: No, no, I was messing around too…

厚沢： 家の人に迎えにきてもらうといい。。。
Atsuzawa: It’s a good thing someone’s coming to pick you up.

勇： おじさん。。。
Yuu: Ojisan.*

*”Ojisan” means “uncle” but can be used with any middle-aged man older than the speaker.


勇： ここまできたらもうしかたないけど
これだけは覚えといて、わたしは近くにいられる
だけでいやなのよ。
人殺しのおじさん。。。
Yuu: There’s nothing I can do about you coming this far.
Just remember this. Just being near you is horrific.
You’re a murderer…


厚沢： 勇ちゃん。。。
Atsuzawa: Yuu-chan…


厚沢： わたしは後ろの方の席にいるからね。。。
Atsuzawa: I’ll be in one of the back rows, okay?


潮： ひ。。。人殺したあ、じんじょうじゃないな。
Ushio: A murderer isn’t something you see every day.

勇： キミには関係ないわ。。。
Yuu: It’s none of your concern.

潮： おっ、おい　　どうかしたか？
Ushio: Hey Hey, is something wrong?

Yuu: Papa!

勇： 。。。こわいの。
Yuu: …I’m scared.


潮： オッ、オヤジがさ。。。こわがってるヤツは
つかまるトコをさがしてる。
つかまらせてやれなんていうからさ。。。
オレの手を重しにしてヒコーキぐらいこわがれんなよ！
Ushio: My Pops says…scared people are always
looking for something to hold on to.
I know he says hold on to
but you can press down on my hand if it helps.


潮： いや。。。はは、オレもホントはちっとこわいなーなんて。。。
Ushio: No, huh? Ha ha, truth is I’m a little scared too.


勇： わたしは違うのよ。

Yuu: It’s not that.


勇： 遅くなったけど。。。　わたし、檜山勇っていうの。
Yuu: This is a little late but my name is Hiyama Yuu.

勇： 北海道のおじいちゃんの家にいくのよ。。。
Yuu: I’m going to my grandfather’s house in Hokkaidou.

勇： パパは旅客機のパイロットだったわ。。。
Yuu: My papa was a commercial airline pilot.

勇： 一か月前の墜落事故の飛行機の機長だった。。。
Yuu: He was the pilot of the plane that went down a month ago


潮： 自衛隊のジェット機と旅客機がすれちがって
片方のヒコーキがおちたってヤツだろ。
Ushio: A JSDF plane and a passenger planed passed close to each other
and he was the one who crashed.


勇： その自衛隊の戦闘機に乗っていたのがあのヒトよ。。。
厚沢のおじさ。。。厚沢っていって
パパの昔の部下だったんだって。。。
Yuu: That man before was the one who was flying the JSDF fighter plane,
Atsuzawa-oji… Atsuzawa. He used to be Papa’s subordinate.

勇： わたしもちっちゃい頃はよく遊んでもらったわ。。。
Yuu: Since I was very small, they always hung out together.


勇： あのヒトがパパのヒコーキをかすめて飛んで、パパを殺したんだわ。。。
Yuu: That man grazed my papa’s plane. He killed my papa…

Yuu: Why are you going to Hokkaido, Aotsuki-kun?

潮： あ。。。あー　か、母ちゃんにあいに。。。
Ushio: Uh…Uh, t-to meet my mom…

Yuu: Really? That’s nice.

潮： 母ちゃんの秘密をしるためなんていえないよなあ。。。
Ushio: I can’t come out and say “to learn my mom’s big secret”…

機長： まもなく水平飛行にはいる。
Pilot: We’ll be leveling off any moment.


とら： ぎゅ～　ってかたむいてよ～
Tora: Gyu~ It’s slanting back~

とら： まーったく、この乗りもんはなんなんだよ～！？
Tora: Dammit, what the hell kinda vehicle is this!

とら： うまだってこんなじゃないぞ！
Tora: It’s nothing like a horse…


（箱： とらはフツーの人にはみえない。）
(Box: Tora cannot be seen by regular people.)


とら： へ！？
Tora: Heh!?

Tora: We’re f-flying in the sky!


とら： うっうしお そらっ　うしっ　そらとんで。。。
Tora: U-Ushio! The sky! Ushio! Flying in the sky!

潮： うるさいな～　はなせよ～！
Ushio: Quiet down~ Lemme go~


（箱： うしおが勇と話し。。。）
(Box: As Ushio talked with Yuu…)


（箱： とらが空飛ぶ鉄の塊に乗って驚いていた頃―）
(Box: And Tora freaked out about riding in big flying lump of steel-)

四０００ｍ　離れた空から静かに彼らの飛行機にせまるものがあった。
4000 meters away, something drew quietly closer to their airplane.

そいつはまっていたのだ 人が空にくるのをずっとー。
Waiting for the people who are always coming up into its sky-

とらの話はあたっていた。
It is the one Tora spoke of.

そいつは「衾」といった。
It is called “Fusuma”.

Atsuzawa: Poor thing. She’s all tuckered out.

厚沢： キミ。。。勇ちゃんから話はきいてんだろ？
Atsuzawa: You…heard about me from Yuu-chan?

潮： あ。。。厚沢さん。。。？
Ushio: Uh…Atsuzawa-san?

厚沢： 勇ちゃんのパパの機がおちたのはわたしの機が
ニアミスしたからでなく、バケモノのせいだと
わたしが主張していることもロビーできいたんだろ？
Atsuzawa: You heard my claim that it was a bakemono that caused
Yuu-chan’s papa’s plane to go down and not a near-miss with
my plane.


潮： 。。。ごめん。
Ushio: Yeah…sorry.

厚沢： いいんだ。
Atsuzawa: That’s all right.


厚沢： しかし　不思議だな。。。
Atsuzawa: But, it’s strange…


厚沢： 勇ちゃんもわたしのことをウソツキとののしったのに
キミはそんなそぶりさえみせん。
Atsuzawa: Even Yuu-chan curses me as a liar but I just don’t see that in you.


厚沢： それどころか最初からこのとっぴなハナシを
信じてるカオだ。。。
Atsuzawa: On the contrary, you look as though you believed my
wild tale from the beginning.

Atsuzawa: Is that so…


人々： 厚沢二尉　バケモノだと！？　
そんなたわ言で責任のがれか!
People: Lt. Atsuzawa… A bakemono!?
Is this your way of escaping responsibility?


厚沢： くわしくはいってはならんのだが、これだけはいえる。。。
自分はまちがった航路は飛んでいなかった。
ただ檜山さんの旅客機が。。。
Atsuzawa: The facts have been stated many times, but I can only say this.
I was not flying in the wrong flight path.
But Hiyama’s plane-


厚沢： 異様な航跡を飛んで近づいてきたんだ。。。
Atsuzawa: It was hidden in the warped part of the sky


厚沢： ゆがんだ空間に旅客機が包まれてすごいスピードで
ひっぱられている感じだった。。。
きっとあのバケモノが。。。
Atsuzawa: And flew a queer path right at me,
so fast it seemed as though it were being pulled.
That bakemono definitely-


潮： ん？ どうしたの厚沢さん。。。
Ushio: Huh? What’s wrong, Atsuzawa-san?

厚沢： 早く　機体をたてなおさないと。。。

Atsuzawa: Hold on!


潮： あ。。。厚沢さん。。。
Ushio: A-Atsuzawa-san!


潮： 妖怪。。。！　妖怪だ。。。　くっそう！！
Ushio: A youkai! It’s a youkai… Dammit!


潮： オレは。。。どうした。。。
Ushio: What…what can I…

Tora: What the hell are you doing?


とら： わしゃ、もうこの乗りもんにも慣れたんだぞ！
Tora: I’ve already gotten used to this vehicle.

とら： 妖がでたなら例のくそ槍でとっととやっつけんかい！
Tora: Don’t you usually rush to fight youkai with that damned Spear
whenever they appear?

潮： でっ、でも今あの槍はないんだぜ。。。
Ushio: B-but I don’t have the Spear!


とら： バッカだなー
Tora: You really are an idiot.

とら： 槍はこの乗りもんのどっかにしまってあるんだろ？
ならハナシは早いー
Tora: The Spear is somewhere on this vehicle, right? So hurry up-


とら： 呼んでみろや。
Tora: And try calling it.

とら： 忘れるなあの槍はー
Tora: Don’t forget.

とら： 「獣の槍」なんだぜ。
Tora: This is the Beast Spear.


潮： よおおおし！
Ushio: OKAY!

潮： 槍よ！
Ushio: Spear!


勇： う。。。
Yuu: Ugn...


潮： 槍よこい！
Ushio: Come to me!
