一鬼： 蒼月潮は憎き「白面の者」を護る人間の女の血筋の者だ。
Hitotsuki: Aotsuki Ushio is from the bloodline of the human woman who
protects the hateful Hakumen no Mono.

一鬼： 潮を殺さずば、日本妖怪の気はおさまらぬ！
Hitotsuki: If we are not allowed to kill Ushio, the youkai of Japan will not be calmed!


一鬼： 長飛丸よ、手伝えとはいわん。
おぬしはそこでみておれ！
Hitotsuki: Nakatobimaru! Don’t offer to help,
you just watch from there!


とら： あいつはわしが食うのだ！
Tora: He’s one I’m going to eat!

一鬼： おぬしはそれをせんではないか。
人にへつらうのか！？
Hitotsuki: You haven’t done it yet.
Are you siding with the humans?

とら： 別に、うしおにへつらってるわけじゃねえ。。。
Tora: Whatever. I’m not siding with Ushio.

Kagari: Niisan, where are Ushio-sama and Tora?

雷信： わからぬ！
Raishin: I don’t know!


雷信： しかし、こいつらの死体と。。。
Raishin: But judging by these corpses…


雷信： 「獣の槍」のにおいのするこの跡をたどれば。。。
Raishin: If we follow these marks that smell of the Beast Spear

かがり： 必ず追いつけるのね。
Kagari: We’ll certainly find them.


かがり： 噂ではこの森の妖の頭一鬼が潮サマを追ってるらしいわ。
Kagari: Rumor has it the head youkai of this forest, Hitotsuki, is pursuing Ushio-sama.

雷信： うむ、あやつにかかっては潮殿も。。。
Raishin: Umu, if Ushio-dono meets up with him…


鎌鼬： 急がねば！
Kamaitachi: We’d better hurry!

潮： いやー、こんなにパンがうまいとはねーっ！
Ushio: Great, this bread is so tasty!

じいちゃん： そうか、そうか。
Jiichan: Good, good.


おばさん： 食べっぷりいいね、ほれオマケ！
Obasan: You’ve got quite an appetite. Here’s an extra one.

潮： おばちゃん、サンキュー！
Ushio: Obachan, thank you!


おばちゃん： 野村のじいさん、バケモノに襲われたんだってえ、
ばーさんの時代ならともかく、信じられないねー。
Obachan: Nomura-jiisan says you were attacked by bakemono
but I wouldn’t believe it even if it were my grandmother’s era.


おじいさん： ばか、おめえ、すごかったんだぞ！こうわらわらと
気持ち悪いのがよ。
Ojiisan: Nonsense, you! It was great! They were all creep-crawly and disgusting!


おじいさん： そこをこの若いのが助けてくれたのよ。
うしおっていいったか？
Ojiisan: And this young one saved me . Ushio, wasn’t it?

おばさん： へー。
Obasan: Really?


おばさん： さっき三角追分の辺りでバスが落ちたっていうけど、
それもオバケのせいかもねえ。。。
Obasan: They’re saying a bus fell down the mountain at the forked road near Misumi.
I supposed that was the fault of bakemono too, right?


潮： おばちゃん、乗ってた人たちはっ！？
Ushio: Obachan, what about the people riding it?

おばさん： なっ、なんでも死んだのは運転手さんだけだって話だけど。。。
Obasan: T-they said the only one to die was the driver…


潮： そ。。。そっか～。
Ushio: R-really?


おばさん： あらコドモがグズってる。。。じいさん、店頼むね。
Obasan: Oh, the baby’s crying…Jiisan, watch the shop for me?

おじいさん： おう、いってきな。
Ojiisan: Right, you go take care of him.

おじいさん： でもよ、おまえさんの髪の毛が抜けた時にゃ、
えらいびっくりしたぞ。
Ojiisan: Well, I was really surprised when your hair fell out.


おじいさん： その槍にもよ。
Ojiisan: And at that spear.


潮： これは。。。
Ushio: Uh, this is…

おじいさん： 無理に話したくない時や、話さんでいいさ、でも。。。
Ojiisan: It’s okay not to talk about something when you don’t want to,


おじいさん： よかったらわけぇきかせてくれるかい、このじいさんに。。。
Ojiisan: But if it’d make it better, you could tell this old man the reasons for these things…


潮： 。。。この槍を抜いた時が、はじまりだったんだ。。。
Ushio: …It all started when I pulled this Spear…


潮： この槍は、バケモノの肩にささってたのさ。。。
Ushio: This spear had pierced a bakemono’s shoulder…


(法力僧： 獣の槍は返していただいた。
(Hourikisou: The Beast Spear has been returned.
法力僧： あとは上の方に背いた裁きを)
Hourikisou: You have disobeyed the judgement of your superiors)

（潮： あばよーっ　あやかしーっ！）
（Ushio: Later, Ayakashi!）

（とら： その槍を三尺でも身からはなしてみろ、
たちまちとびつき引き抜いて。）
（Tora: Once you seperated that 3 feet of spear from my body,
they were quickly attracted to it.)

Ojiisan: Houu…


おじいさん： そんなわけがあったのかい。
Ojiisan: Is that what happened?

潮： 信じられないだろ。。。オレだって今もそうさ。。。
Ushio: You probably don’t believe me. I barely believe me, even now.


潮： バケモノにとりつかれて。。。
ヘンな槍もって、母ちゃんのナゾを教えてもらいに
旅するなんて。。。考えてもみなかった。
Ushio: I’m haunted by a bakemono…
I carry this weird spear and I’m taking this journey
to be told my mother’s mystery…I had no idea this would happen.

潮： はあ
Ushio: ~sigh~


潮： だけど。。。
近頃これが、慣れてきちまったんだよなあ。
Ushio: But I’ve gotten used to it in a very short time.


おじいさん： 妖怪を殺すことにかい？
Ojiisan: Used to killing youkai?


潮： ちがうわい！
Ushio: That’s not what I meant!

潮： 妖怪が、マジにいるコトにさっ、慣れるかよっ。
Ushio: I’m used to the fact that youkai are real, not to killing them!


潮： たとえ　バケモノだって殴った手の方が、
イタイこともあらあ。
Ushio: Even though they’re youkai, even a struck hand hurts them.

潮： あーっ！！　悪い悪い！
Ushio: Oh! Sorry, sorry!


潮： さっきからオレばっか食ってたよ～
じーちゃんだってハラへってんだろっ？
Ushio: I gobbled up everything before.
You’re probably hungry too!


おじいさん： おい、おい　わしゃ。。。
Ojiisan: Oi, oi, I-

潮： いいって　いいって！おばちゃーん、パンもー
イッコねーっ。
Ushio: It’s okay. It’s fine. Obachan, I’m getting one more!


潮： いいからくってみろよ、うめーんだぜー。
Ushio: It’s great. Try it! It’s so good.


潮： クリームパン！
Ushio: Cream-pan!*

*sweet bread filled with cream custard


潮： ちくしょーめ！
Ushio: Jackasses!

潮： 妖怪もこの味がわかりゃあ、人間と少しは仲よくできんのによ！
Ushio: If the youkai knew this taste, they’d get along a little better with humanity!

Ojiisan: Ushio… So, what are you going to do now?

潮： どうすっかなー、悪いけどじいちゃんのトコへ泊めってもらって。。。
Ushio: What am I gonna do… Thanks for letting me stay at your place for tonight.


潮： 明日の朝。。。！
Ushio: Tomorrow morning I’ll…


おじいさん： ん？　どうしたんだ。。。
Ojiisan: Huh? What’s wrong?


おじいさん： なあ、うしおってばよ。
Ojiisan: Hey, Ushio!


潮： ちくしょう、ここもダメか！
Ushio: Dammit, I can’t stay here either!


潮： じーちゃん、逃げろぉ！
Ushio: Jiisan, run!

潮： バスの時みたいにほかの人がまきぞえをくう。
Ushio: Other people are going to get mixed up in this just like with the bus!


潮： じいちゃん！オレがこいつらひきつける、逃げろっ！
Ushio: Jiichan! I’ll lure them away, so run!

おじいさん： おまえが死んじまうぞっ。
Ojiisan: You’ll die!


潮： へへっ。。。しかたねーさ！
Ushio: He heh… Nothing I can do about that!

Woman: Hiih.


潮： バカヤロォ、カンケーねーのまで襲うなっ！
Ushio: Dumbass, don’t attack people who have nothing to do with this!

潮： よーし！　ここで相手になってやるっ。
Ushio: All right! I’ll fight you here!

Kagari: The Kamaitachi siblings.


雷信： よって　われら兄妹、潮殿に加勢する！
Raishin: And so, we siblings will assist you!


妖怪： こっ、この裏切者ぉ！
Youkai: Y-you traitors!


かがり： 負けるものかっ！！
Kagari: We won’t lose!

Kagari: Kya!


一鬼： くくくっ　バカめ。。。
Hitotsuki: Ku ku kuh Idiot…


一鬼： イタチごときに加勢されたからとて、
この一鬼から逃げられるとでもおもうてか！？
Hitotsuki: Even assisted by the likes of the Itachi,
did you think you’d be able to escape the great Hitotsuki?


一鬼： 蒼月潮！
Hitotsuki: Aotsuki Ushio!
