紫暮： バカモノー！十日もかけてまだ旭川に着いとならんのかーっ！！
Shigure: IDIOT! It’s been 10 days and you haven’t gotten to Asahikawa yet!?


紫暮： いいか、おまえは母の秘密をしりに、旭川までいかにならんのだろが。
いつまで遊んどる！？
Shigure: Listen up! You have to go to Asahikawa to learn your mother’s secret.
How long are you going to screw around!?


紫暮： 学校もずっと休んでるワケにいかんのだぞ。
麻子ちゃんや真由子ちゃんも。。。
Shigure: You can’t keep missing school! And Asako-chan and Mayuko-chan are worried…

潮： おのなーっ　オレだっていろいろ大変だったんだぜーっ！
Ushio: Yeah but there’s been some terrible trouble on my end!


潮： オレだってオヤジのこと、心配してたんだぜーっ。
Ushio: And I’ve been worried about you, Pops!


紫暮： うるさいなあ、父さんもどれほど心配していたか。。。
Shigure: How stupid! Why would you possibly worry about your father?


潮： なーんか、セットク力ねえなあ。
せーいってもんが感じられんのよ
Ushio: You really have no powers of persuasion whatsoever.
I can feel you getting into trouble.

歩： あのさあ、二、三日こっちの方で遊んでくからー
Ayumi: So, I’m going to be hanging around here for 2 or 3 days-

歩： いや、あのね。。。わかったから。。。明日帰るよ。。。
Ayumi: Uh, you see…I see… I’ll come home tomorrow…


電話： あんたもしや、変な男と一緒じゃないだろね。
Phone: You aren’t staying with strange men by chance, are you?

香上： おい、片山さっきいい女いたぞ。
Kagami: Oi, Katayama, that girl before was hot.


二人： ねえねえきみたち、二人―？これからどーすんのー。
Boys: Hey, hey, girls! Are you two together? What are you doing now?

Katayama: This place sucks! Ushio, don’t just stand there staring into space!

香上： 次いくぞ、次んトコーっ！
Kagami: Let’s move on to our next stop!

(箱： そして。。。とらー)
(Box: And then…Tora)

(サイン： マドロスバーガー 函館店)
(Sign: Madros Burger Hakodate Branch)

人： あれーっ、オレのハンバーガーはーっ？
Person: Hey, where’s my hamburger?

人： あたしのチーズバーガーもなーい！
Woman: My cheeseburger’s gone too!


とら： ん。。。あの女にもらった方がうまい気がするが。
Tora: Hm…I think the ones I got from that girl were better.


とら： まあまあだな！
Tora: But they’re okay.


香上： いやー、北海道の道はすいてて気持ちいいねえ。
Kagami: Wow, Hokkaidou roads are so clear. It feels great.

Katayama: Yeah, really.

潮： そろそろ電車使おうと思ってたのに、迫力に負けちまった。。。
Ushio: I thought it was time I start using the train but they convinced me to come…

香上： 今日は洞爺湖に泊まろう！立派なホテルに！！
Kagami: Today we’ll stay by Touyako* in a grand hotel!

*”ko” is a suffix for lake names (e.g. Lake Touya)

歩： りっぱな。。。って、ずいぶん強気ねー。
Ayumi: By “grand” do you mean extremely big and expensive?

片山： なんのなんの、歩ちゃん、明日かえるんだろー？
しりあえた記念にさあ。
Katayama: It’s nothing! You’re going home tomorrow, right?
It’s in commemoration of our meeting.


片山： カックイーホテルなら、歩ちゃんも感激して、片山さん　なんてよー。
Katayama: We’ll stay at a super hotel and Ayumi-chan will be soooo grateful!
Katayama, what are you saying~

香上： しかも観光地だから女の子もたくさん！
Kagami: And there are always lots of girls at sight-seeing spots!

歩： なんかろくでもないコト考えてるでしょう
Ayumi: I bet they’re not thinking anything good


潮： ま、近づいてるんだからいいか。。。
でもまたやっかいな妖怪とかがよ。。。
Ushio: Well, I guess it’s okay as long as we’re getting closer…
As long as we don’t meet up with any more troublesome youkai.

Ushio: Thanks guys! This is the first time I’ve ever been anywhere so nice!

片山： おめえの宿泊料は、おめえで払うの！！
Katayama: You’re paying your own hotel charges!

香上： 歩ちゃんはいいんだよーね
払うわよ！
Kagami: Don’t worry, Ayumi-chan. We’ll pay for you!

歩： 下心見え見え
Ayumi: Your motives are obvious


香上： で、うしおーあとこれなー。
Kagami: Okay, Ushio. You can get these later.

Ushio: What’s wrong, Kagami-niichan?

香上： いや、誰かにみられてたような感じがよ。。。
Kagami: It’s nothing. It just felt like I was being watched…


声： 誰か。。誰か、この湖に必要なのだ！
Voice: Someone! This lake needs someone!


片山： よう、香上。。。ここって観光地だろ？それにしちゃ人少ねえな。
Katayama: Yo, Kagami. This is a sight-seeing spot, right? There aren’t many people here.

片山： なっ、なんでもない！　気のせいさ。。。
Katayama: N-nothing! Just my imagination…


声： 誰かがここを護らねば！
Voice: Someone must protect this place!


声： 誰かが。。。
Voice: Someone…


仁礼： いらっしゃいませ。
Nire: Irasshaimase.


香上： いえいえ、お名前なんてーんです？
Kagami: Tell me, tell me! What’s your name?

仁礼： に、仁礼といいますっ。
Nire: I-it’s Nire.

片山： あのさあこの辺、なんかイジョーに人少なくない？
Katayama: Hey, isn’t it strange that there are so few people around here?


仁礼： 本当はこんなこといったら、ダメなんでしょうけど。。。
Nire: I’m not really supposed to talk about it…but…


仁礼： 最近ここ、地震は多いんですよ。不気味な山鳴りも。。。
Nire: There have been a lot of earthquakes here recently
and strange rumblings from the mountain…

仁礼： 有珠山が爆発してからあまりなかったんですけど。。。
でも、湖のまわりだけにそういうことが起きてて、
ほかの町とかにはまったくないんです。
Nire: Usuzan* hasn’t erupted for quite some time but because it could happen,
there aren’t many other towns around the lake.

*”zan” is a suffix for mountains (e.g. Mount Usu)
仁礼： この前は嵐の夜に、変な蛇をみた人がいるって騒ぎになったし。。。
こわくて。。。
Nire: There are some people who saw a strange snake on a stormy night a little while ago
and they’re causing a stir…
They’re afraid…


片山： 心配ないよ、ボクが横に寝てあげる。
Katayama: Don’t worry. I’ll sleep by your side.


潮： 変な蛇？
Ushio: A strange snake?


仁礼： ええ、大きい蛇ですって。
Nire: Yes. A huge serpent.

仁礼： のどもとから人の腕みたいのがはえたって。。。
Nire: With what looks like human arms growing from its throat…


片山： ま。。。まさかね。。。
Katayama: T-there’s no way…


仁礼： え。。ええ。
ああ、大浴場のプールはいつでも入れますから
水着でおいでくださいね。
Nire: Y-you’re right.
Oh, you can go to the big pool any time.
Please come in your swimsuits.


潮： ええっ、プール！？
Ushio: What, a pool?

潮： いこーよ、いこーよ！！
Ushio: Let’s go! Let’s go!

香上： バーカ　うしお、かったりーよ。。。
Kagami: No way, Ushio. Sounds boring.

Man: Huh, where’s my yakitori*?

歩： よーし、いっくよーっ。
Ayumi: Okay, here it comes!

潮： なーに、歩サン？
Ushio: What is it, Ayumi-san?


歩： ううん、なんでもない。。。
Ayumi: No, it’s nothing…

歩： 今、確かに誰かにみられてるような気がした。。。
Ayumi: It felt like someone was definitely watching me just now…


片山： よーし、歩ちゃんとであえたコトを祝ってーっ。。。
Katayama: All right, in celebration of meeting Ayumi-chan…

皆： カンパーイ！
Everyone: Kanpai*!

*”Empty your glass” (i.e. Cheers!)

歩： はは、うしおくんにゃビールは早いよ。
Ayumi: Ha ha, it’s a little early for Ushio-kun to drink beer.

香上： ふふ　酒に酔わせて、今日こそ歩ちゃんと。。。ひひ。。。ひひひ。
Kagami: Fu fu If she gets drunk on sake, today I’ll finally get with Ayumi-chan…
Hi hi… hi hi hi.

片山： ふふ。。。同右！ひひ。。。ひひひ。
Katayama: Fu fu Same*! Hi hi…hi hi hi.

*”同右” means “same as indicated on the right”, meaning Katayama’s thinking the same thing Kagami is thinking.


二人： ほーら、歩ちゃん飲んで飲んで。
Boys: Hey, Ayumi-chan. Drink up, drink up!


香上： うしおー　芸だ　芸―
Kagami: Ushio, nice performance!

潮： たりや
Ushio: Ta-da!

Katayama: Ow-ow-ow, how’d this happen~ What a hangover~
Dammit, I just wanna sleep.

香上： ぐす。。。とうとう歩ちゃんと仲よくなれなかったな～。
Kagami: Gusu… and we never got to know Ayumi-chan better~


潮： 早く早く、船がでるよー。　
昨日、あんなに中島にいこうっていってたろーっ。
Ushio: Hurry, hurry! The boat’s leaving!
Yesterday, you said we were going to Nakajima!

歩： あたしも、昼の電車で帰るんだからさー。
Ayumi: And I have to be back to catch the afternoon train!


歩： 楽しかったなー、全部かたづいたら青森にも遊びにきてね。
Ayumi: It was a lot of fun. When you’re done with this, come see me in Aomori.

潮： うん、歩サンも元気でね。
Ushio: Yeah. Take care of yourself, Ayumi-san.

Boys: Uuuuuugh.


アナ： 洞爺湖はその昔、羊蹄山が噴火した時にできたカルデラ湖で。。。

Katayama: My head hurts. I think I’m gonna hurl~

片山： おーい、香上～、酒の飲みすぎだ。

片山： とっくりがみえるー。
