Tora: Oi, you! Here, right here!

潮： まだあそこだもんなあ。。。
Ushio: We’re still down here…

えりも岬
Cape Erimo

（箱： 現在、えりも岬から大雪山まわりの観光バスに乗って
旭川に向かううしおだがー）
(Box: Presently, Ushio is headed to Asahikawa on a sight-seeing bus
from Cape Erimo to Daisetsuzan.)


(箱： そのあとを「白面の者」から「獣の槍」破壊の命をうけた婢妖が追い、)
(Box: But the Hiyou, sent out from Hakumen no Mono and ordered to destroy the Beast Spear,
are following him,)


(箱： 己たちの使いハズであった槍を持つ潮を「獣の槍」の
伝承候補者が追う。）
(Box: The Chosen Candidates of the Beast Spear are also following Ushio,
who has the Beast Spear they were supposed to use.

（箱： そして二人目の男・秋葉流ととらはー）
(Box: The second of them, a man called Akiba Nagare, is with Tora…)

Nagare: Metal triumphs over wood!

とら： くそ、稲妻が曲がった！？
Tora: Shit, he turned my lighting aside!?

流： 光覇明宗の法力は古く中国の陰陽五行思想による。
Nagare: The houriki of the Kouhamei Sect comes from the old Chinese ideology
of Onmyou, the Taoist theory of the five elements.


流： 日本に渡り陰陽道となったがな。。。
Nagare: Ferried to Japan, it became Onmyoudou…

流： その考え方に金属の斧が木を倒すように、
Nagare: In that way of thought, the metal ax beats wood.


流： 金気のものは木気のものに勝るーというのがある。
Nagare: That means things with metal ki will win over things with wood ki.


流： 雷は木気。金気の技をしるオレには通じん。
Nagare: Lightning has wood ki. I use metal ki techniques, so you can’t strike me with it.

Tora: Is that so… Well…

Nagare: Answer me this!

流： なぜおまえは蒼月潮を殺さん！？
Nagare: Why haven’t you killed Aotsuki Ushio?

雷を放ち、火炎を吐き、
人間の思考を理解する強力な妖怪だ。
日本の妖怪の中でもその存在はでかいらしい。
Nagare: You sprang up in China a little over 2000 years ago…

A powerful youkai that understands human thought.

流： 「獣の槍」に封じられるまで人間を恐怖の淵に陥れていたと、
数々の古文書にでている凶悪な妖怪。
Nagare: An atrocious youkai that old texts say drove humanity to a deep pool of terror
until you were sealed by the Beast Spear.


とら： うるせえ！！
Tora: Silence!


とら： ぐおお！　なんだこれはァ、はずれねえぞう！
Tora: Guoo! What is this? I can’t move!

Nagare: Quit flopping around.

流： その鉄杭は妖怪の力を奪う結界を小さい規模で持ってるんだ。
しかも強力なヤツだ。
Nagare: Those tetsugui* have a limited barrier on them that counteracts youkai strength.
You’re a strong one.

流： おまえの体がちぎれるまでとれねえよ。。。
質問をつづけるぜ。
Nagare: But you’d pull yourself apart before you got them out,
so let’s continue the questioning.


とら： くそがァ！
Tora: DAMN IT!


とら： ぐうううう！
Tora: Guuuuu!


流： おまえは仲間をもたね。ただ一種の、一匹のみの妖怪だ。
名前は字伏、長飛丸と変わってるらしいがな。。。
Nagare: You have no comrades, as you are the only youkai of your kind.
Your name changed from Azafuse to Nagatobimaru…

流： それも不思議だが、さらにおかしいコトがある。
Nagare: That’s a mystery but there are even stranger things.


流： オレは記録をみた。。。おまえが解放されてからのな。
Nagare: I saw the report… on what you’ve done since you were released.

流： 数々の闘いにおいて、おまえはことごとく蒼月を助けている。
Nagare: In several battles, you’ve saved Aotsuki all together.


流： それは次第に他の人間にも及ぶ。
Nagare: You happened to save other humans along with him.

流： 遠野ではザシキワラシや、
Nagare: And the Zashikiwarashi in Toono,

流： 衾に旅客機が襲われた時には、こともあろうに多くの乗客を助けている。
Nagare: During the fight with Fusuma on the passenger plane,
you even went to far as to save all the passengers.

流： おまえにケンカを売ったヤツラを助けている。
Nagare: You’ve even saved people at the cost of injuring yourself.


流： わからん。。。　オレにはどうしてもおまえの行動の合点がいかん。
お役目様はおまえにも人間の心がわかるようになったとお考えのようだが、
冗談じゃねえ。おまえがそんなタマかよ。
Nagare: I don’t understand it and I don’t like not understanding your behavior.
Oyakume-sama seems to think that you have come to understand the human heart
but let’s be serious. You’re no pussy cat.

流： 封じられるまでは凶悪な妖気でみる者も殺したおまえが。
Nagare: Until you were sealed, you killed everything you laid eyes on with your powerful youki.

流： さあ、いえっ！おまえは蒼月にとりつき、なにをたくらんでいるんだっ！？
Nagare: So, tell me! So what are you scheming at by haunting Aotsuki!

流： いえっ　妖怪！！
Nagare: Tell me, bakemono!


流： なにを笑うっ！？
Nagare: What’s so funny?

Tora: You, who know only that, calling me “bakemono”.

流： な。。。！バカな。。。手足がちぎれるぞ。。。
Nagare: What the-! Impossible… you’re ripping your limbs off…

とら： 妖と呼ぶのかーっ！！
Tora: Call me a “bakemono”?!

Tore: This is what it means!

とら： こういうのをいうのよ！！
Tora: What it means to be bakemono!

流： そうかよ、なら殺してやるぜ！
Nagare: Well, if that’s so, I’d best kill you now!

とら： 死なねーんだよ。
Tora: I don’t die.

とら： それが妖！
Tora: That is “bakemono”!

流： 血が。。。！血があまりでない。。。手かげんしたな。。。
Nagare: Blood…there’s almost no blood. You were only toying with me…

とら： けっ、わしに情けがあるねんて思うなよ。
Tora: Keh, don’t think it’s a sign of compassion.


とら： 何度と同じコトをおめーらにきかれるのがめんどくせーから、
おまえが帰って伝えろ。
Tora: I’m tired of being asked the same damned thing by you people,
so go back and report this.


とら： わしはうしおを喰わねーのはな。。。
Tora: The reason I haven’t eaten Ushio is…

とら： 槍があるとはいえ、そいつは確かにヘンだ。
わしも思う。。。
あいつといるとメンドーに必ず巻きこまれるしよ。
Tora: Not just because he has the Spear but because I too think he’s pretty strange.
I do keep getting caught up in crap when I’m with him.

とら： ホントにバカなんだぜ　あいつぁ。
Tora: And he is surely a complete fool.

流： ああ。。。
Nagare: Ah…

とら： フン！　わしゃ理屈なんてしらねえ。。。
ただ。。。
Tora: Fuhn! I don’t know why…but at least….

とら： あいつといると退屈はしねあな。
Tora: I’m never bored when I’m with him.


とら： いてて。。。
Tora: Ow-ow-ow…

流： 。。。へ！　いいやがるな。
退屈はしねえだと。。。
Nagare: …heh! That’s all, huh?
You’re never bored…


とら： ヘンだな！
Tora: That’s strange.

とら： 気になってたんだが「白面」から槍破壊のために送られた婢妖のニオイが、
さっき強烈になって、すぐ消えやがった。
Tora: I was worried I’d caught the scent of the Hiyou Hakumen no Mono sent
out to destroy the Spear. It was strong before but now it’s disappeared.

あいつを追っていったのか。
Tora: There’re the tracks of that “bass” that Ushio’s on…
Did they follow him?

とら： いや！

とら： ヤツラ！！
Tora: It is them!

運転手： だっ、だめだ！
Driver: It’s no use!

運転手： ハンドルがきかないっ！
Driver: The steering wheel’s not responding!
