and raise the one who would use it.


流： それ以来、坊主たちは全国行脚しておまえの持ってる槍を
探しまくったんだ。ゴクローなこった。
Nagare: After that, monks went on pilgrimages around the country to find
the Spear you have there. They went through a lot.


流： そして、その槍がー
Nagare: And then, forty years ago…

流： おまえのー　蒼月家の蔵にあることを彼らしったのは、
４０年前のことさ。
Nagare: They discovered that it was in the Aotsuki family cellar- your cellar.

流： 土に通じる扉はひらくまじー
Nagare: The doors leading underground could not be opened.

流： そこに、かの獣の槍と物凄まじい妖怪が眠っている。
Nagare: There slept the Beast Spear and the terrible youkai.

Nagare: Thereafter-

流： 光覇明宗の坊主はその扉をひらこうと必死になった。
。。。だが、
Nagare: The monks grew desperate to open the doors.
However…

流： 特別な結界に護られたか、ありゃカンタンにゃ
あいてくれなかったのさ。。。
Nagare: The doors were protected by a special barrier and would not be opened easily.

流： 今に至るまで百回を越える様々な彼らの試みは全て失敗した。
Nagare: At this point, various monks have tried over a hundred times and all of them have failed.


潮： そうかあ。オレの時は実にカンタンに扉はこわれたぞ～
Ushio: Really? When I tried it, they broke so easily~

とら： ちっ、あの時ゃ～　自由になったと思ったのによ！
Tora: Ch. At the time, I was only thinking about getting free!


とら： それがどうまちがえたんか、こんなタコちびと一緒に
旅するていたらく。。。

したワケじゃあるまい。

流： 純は、正式伝承者の四人のうち一人の男の妹なんだ。
Nagare: Jun is the younger sister of one of the four official Chosen.

流： ヤツの名は杜綱悟。。。体術、法力ともに最高の男だ。
四人のうち一番獣の槍伝承者に近いといわれているんだ。
Nagare: His name is Moritsuna Satoru… He’s the strongest of us in martial arts and houriki.
Of the four of us, he was the most likely to be the Chosen of the Beast Spear.

流： なんせヤツにゃ、オレにはない人望があったからな。。。
Nagare: Anyway, he wasn’t a popular character with me…

流： こいつらだってあいつを慕ってついている若い法力僧だろ？
Nagare: But these young hourikisou followed him around like puppies.

純： 表面はいつもの兄さんだったけど、

純： 時々だまりこんでかんがえこむことが多くなった。
Jun: But he often sank into silence and brooded.

純： そして２週間前なにもいわないで。。。
Jun: Now he hasn’t spoken to anyone in two weeks…

流： やめろよ、純。おまえの兄キがいなくなったのは蒼月のせいじゃねえだろ。
Nagare: Quit it, Jun. It’s not Aotsuki’s fault that your brother disappeared.

とら： ふーん。またなつかしいモンが使うヤツがいたモンだぜ。
Tora: Fuhn. It’s been a long time since I saw anyone use this.

潮： なんかいったか？　とら。
Ushio: Did you say something, Tora?

とら： なつかしいっていったのよ。この気配は陰陽の気を操る者だ。
Tora: I said it’s been a long time. It’s an indication of someone that manipulates yin and yang.

とら： そして近づいて来るのァ、
Tora: And it’s coming closer.

Tora: A shikigami*.

*an creature or object animated by a magician to act in his stead

Chouki (Bird Demon)

身長２ｍ。頑才な肉体と鋭い爪、鋼も切り裂く刀を武器として戦う。人を食らう。
It is 2 meters tall. It fights with weapons like its tough body, sharp claws, and a sword that slices and dices steel. It eats people.

Gousoutsukai Kabutomaru (Kabutomaru that uses a big spear)

もとは人間だった槍使い兜丸が、やむなく妖怪の肉を食べてしまったことから、
妖怪剛槍使い兜丸と変化したもの。　身長６ｍ２３ｃｍ。一鬼を上回る力持つ。
Kabutomaru was originally a human that used a spear but he had to eat a piece of youkai flesh and
he was transformed into Gousoutsukai Kabutomaru. He is 6 m 23 cm tall. He’s stronger than Hitotsuki.

Hokkaidou/ Shinji (18)

とら： かたや鋭い爪と鋼も切り裂く刀を持つ、身長２ｍの鳥鬼。
かたや力はー鬼を上回る槍の使い手、６ｍ２３ｃｍの兜丸。
激戦が期待されたが、鳥鬼の足が短く、足が届かず負けてしまった。
Tora: On the one hand, there’s Chouki, 2 m tall with sharp claws and a steel-cleaving sword.
On the other hand, there’s Kabutomaru, 6m 23 cm tall with a spear
and is stronger than Hitotsuki. We hope for a hard-fought battle but Chouki’s legs
are too short and he loses because he can’t reach.

地脈蛇
Chimyakuda (Earth Pulsing Snake)

地脈を操り地震を起こす。普段は蛇を食らっているが、地震を起こすためには
人の目玉を食らう。
It creates earthquakes by using the pulse of the earth. It usually eats snakes but in order to
create an earthquake, it eats people’s eyeballs.

「鬼婆」といわれて殺された老婆の蜂の化身。視力は５．０以上、鋼鉄をも切り裂く刃羽根と爪で人間を襲う。
She’s the reincarnation of an old woman called the “Demon Hag” into a wasp. Her eyesight is over 5.0 and she eats people with her steel-cleaving razor wings and claws.

潮： あっ、地脈蛇が目を食らわんと人を襲っている。同じ目的で飛んできた蜂婆と 戦いになった。地脈蛇は蜂婆の視力５．０のおいしそうな目にかぶりつく！
だが、蜂婆の鋼鉄をも切り裂く刃羽根が地脈蛇をまっぷたつに。。。
蜂婆の勝利に終わった。
Ushio: Ah, Chimyakuda is attacking people to eat their eyes. Houba,
with the same idea in mind, flies up and a fight breaks out. Chimyakuda
bites into those delicious-looking over-5.0 eyes of Houba’s.
But, Houba’s steel-cleaving razor wings slice Chimyakuda in two…
The bout ends with Houba victorious.
