Tora: Right. Those snow bakemono are famous even amongst you humans…


とら： この建物は古そうだからな。この辺りのびるじんぐよりゃ
住みよさそうだぜ。。。
Tora: This building looks old. Older than the ones around it.
That’s probably why she’s there…

潮： じゃ、あれはずーっとここに住んでるのか？
Ushio: Well, do you think she’s been living there long?


潮： それにしてもなんていう哀しそうな泣き声なんだ。。。

潮： おい、とらっちょっと乗せろっ！
Ushio: Oi! Tora, give me a ride!

ま、わしがとりついてる食いもんてトコよ！

Ushio: Why you! Are you trying to pick a fight?

雪も降ってんしあったかくしねーと、
カゼひくぞ！

とら： ふん、あいつの悲しみが、この吹雪をおこしてるのかよ。
Tora: Fuhn. Her sadness is causing this blizzard.


雪ババ： そのとおりだ、垂。。。
Yukibaba: Exactly, Shizuri…

雪ババ： 妖と人間が結ばれることはない。
Yukibaba: Bakemono and humans cannot be together.

Shizuri: Okaasama!


雪ババ： 寿命ある力弱き人間どもと、風雪の隙に潜み、氷を僕と
して生きる我らが相入れることはない。
人間は我らがだまっていることをよいことに、
石の巨大な道をつくり石の建物をつくって我ら追い散らした。
Yukibaba: Short-lived, weak humans cannot live together with we who live in ice,
in the gaps between snow and wind.
Humans want us to be silent, to build their great stone streets and stone
buildings and drive us out.

雪ババ： 今ではこの古い建物だけが住み家よ。
Yukibaba: Now, only this old building is our home.

雪ババ： 今まであたし一人では、我がもの顔にのさばり広がる
この街に、仇なすことはできなかった。
Yukibaba: Until now, I could not oppose this city alone, as it spread its face
out as it pleased.


雪ババ： だが、今ならできる！
Yukibaba: But now we can!


雪ババ： 長年、この札幌に降る雪の一番純粋な「精」を集めて。。。
Yukibaba: Through long years, I have gathered the purest spirit from the snow
fallen in Sapporo…


雪ババ： あたしがこしらえた雪娘！
Yukibaba: And made myself a snow daughter!

雪ババ： 垂があたしを助けてくれるからねえ！
Yukibaba: Shizuri will aid me!


雪ババ： 垂は、どうやらその強大な吹雪の力を、悲しまねば
出せないようだ。
ならば哀しいめ。もっと己の身を呪うがよい。
Yukibaba: Somehow, Shizuri’s sadness brings out the great blizzard’s power.
So, be sad. This curse on you is well and good.


雪ババ： なんならおまえがもっともっと哀しむよう、
あの男を今すぐにでも凍りつくせてしまおうかよ。
Yukibaba: If you like, you can grow sadder and sadder,
and you can quickly freeze that boy.

二人でこの街を凍りつかせてやりましょう。
