*The Story So Far*

妖怪・時逆に誘われていった古代中国。そこでオレは、強大な力を
見せる白面の者と初めて対面。そして、神剣造り・ジエメイ一家の悲劇と、
獣の槍誕生に至る一部始終と見た。
The youkai Tokisaka lured us to ancient China. There, I first came face to face
with Hakumen no Mono showing it’s great power. And then I saw the tragedy of
Jie Mei’s swordsmith family and was present at the birth of the Beast Spear.

それからオレ達は、時を戻りながら、白面が日本に飛来したために起きた
戦いと、その結果、やむなく結界を張り続けねばばらなくなった、いきさつ
を知る。だから母ちゃんは、今も海の底で白面を封じているらしい。。。
After that, as I returned through time, I learned that details of the battle that occurred when
Hakumen no Mono flew to Japan and of the barrier that unavoidably must continue to be held.
It seems that’s why my mother is even now sealing Hakumen at the bottom of the sea…

最終決戦は九か月後。現代に戻ったオレととらは、この槍と共に白面の者を
必ず倒す覚悟だ。
The final decisive battle is nine months from now. Tora and I returned to the present and are
now preparing to defeat Hakumen no Mono with the Spear.

そして、東京行の帰りの列車を待つオレ達は、札幌の街を凍りつかせようとする
雪女の母娘に出会う。。。！？
Now I was waiting to return home on a Toukyou-bound train and happened upon a mother and
daughter yukionna pair who are trying to freeze the city of Sapporo!

たわむれに人の姿をしていた私に、あの者が声をかけた時から、
私の中で何かがかわったのだ。
Shizuri: That time-
I’d taken human form just for sport. Something changed inside me when I heard
his voice.


雪ババ：　　垂―
我が娘よ。。。
Yukibaba: Shizuri-
My daughter…

雪ババ： どうした。。。
何を考えておる？
Yukibaba: What’s wrong…
What are you thinking?

垂： いいえお母様。。。
いかにすればさらに氷雪を呼べるか思案しておりました。
Shizuri: Nothing, Okaasama…
Thinking about how much ice and snow I can call.

雪ババ： おお　そうか
人の男のコトなぞ風雪の向こうに忘れてしまえ。。。
Yukibaba: Ah, is that so?
Then you’ve forgotten about the human boy and such in the coming of the blizzard…


垂： 私は。。。
いつも人間達をここから見おろしきた。
Shizuri: I…
I always looked down on the humans from this place.

垂： なぜ人間はああも群れたがるのか。。。
Shizuri: Why do the humans cluster together so…

垂： なぜ人間は息が白くなるのだろう。。。
Shizuri: Why do their breaths turn white…

垂： 夏、私と母様は時計台の機関部の天井に身を隠す。。。
Shizuri: In summer, my mother and I hid ourselves in the ceiling of the
workings space of the clock tower…

垂： 一塊の氷の中に。。。
Shizuri: Within lumps of ice…


垂： その中でも私は考え続けた。
Shizuri: I continued to think inside there.

垂： なぜ人はあの厚い世界に住め、私は住めないのか。。。
Shizuri: Why can humans live in that hot world and I cannot…

垂： 雪の妖の私にとって、「死」を意味する熱気のなかで、
なぜああも楽しげにいられるのだろう。。。
Shizuri: For a snow bakemono like me, heat means “death”.
How can I be happy like that…


垂： それで私は去年の冬の初め、
Shizuri: So, starting last winter,

垂： 人の姿に化して地に足をつけてみた。
Shizuri: I changed into a human being and set my feet on the ground.


垂： 人のいない早朝。。。
初めて地面に立つ足はふるえたが、何か心が高揚した。。。
Shizuri: Early morning with no one around…
I trembled when I first stood on the earth and my heart was uplifted…


垂： よく街で人の子がつくる雪人形,
Shizrui: Human children often make snow dolls in this city

垂： 母様もこうやって私をつくったのか。。。
Shizuri: Is this how my mother made me?


垂： その時。。。
Shizuri: That time…


佐久間： よォ、こんなトコで彼氏でも待ってんのか？
Sakuma: Yo. You waiting for your boyfriend in a place like this?

垂： 彼の男は生まれて一度も人と声を交わした
ことのない私に、いとも簡単に笑いかけた。
Shizuri: I had not spoken with a human even once since my birth
but he smiled so easily at me.


垂： それから私は毎朝ここに立つようになった。
Shizuri: After that, I started to stand in that place every morning.

垂： この姿を保てる気候の限り。。。
Shizuri: I maintained my shape as long as the climate held…


垂： 人間以外の存在を、人は知らぬ。私はそれに気をつけて
しゃべらねばならなかったが。。。
Shizuri: He didn’t know I was something other than human. I spoke carefully
because of this…

垂： 私は楽しい。。。ということを初めて知った。。。
Shizuri: But I enjoyed it…the first time I ever knew enjoyment.

(Box: However,)

（箱： 私は、人間に追われ続けた母―
雪女がこの街に仇なさんがためにつくった雪娘―）
(Box: I am a snow daughter made to be an enemy to this town
by a mother who was continuously pushed out by the humans)

（箱： 私は吹雪を巻き起こして、人を、街を凍らせなければならないー）
(Box: I must bring forth this blizzard to freeze this city and these people-)

Shizuri: And him…


佐久間： くそっ！　すっげえ吹雪だつ！！
Sakuma: Shit! This blizzard’s horrible!


佐久間： 札幌でもこんな寒さと雪が同時に起きるなんて、めったにねえぜ。
Sakuma: We rarely have this much snow and cold at the same time, even in Sapporo.

潮： こ、このままじゃ時計台に行くまでに凍えちまう！
Ushio: If this keeps up, we’ll freeze by the time we get to the clock tower!

Ushio: That Spear!


佐久間： 雪も。。。風もこなくなっただとォ。。。
Sakuma: The snow…and the wind can’t get past it…

佐久間： 蒼月ィ。。。おまえ何者なんだ。。。？
その槍は。。。？
Sakuma: Aotsuki, who the hell are you?
What’s with that spear?


潮： オレン家の寺の蔵ん中で妖怪をはりつけてたのが
この槍だった。。。
それを抜いたオレは妖怪どもと因縁を持っちまったのさ。
Ushio: This Spear was pinning a youkai in the cellar of my family temple…
After I pulled it out, it looks like I have some connection with youkai.


潮： そして。。。この札幌でこの槍が導いた、
Ushio: So…the Spear led me here to Sapporo.

潮： この街に住む吹雪を起こす雪娘―
Ushio: To the snow girl living in this city that is causing the blizzard-


潮： それが垂さんだよ。
Ushio: It’s Shizuri-san.

佐久間： 。。。な。。。にィ！？
Sakuma: What!?

佐久間： コゾーふかしこいてんとぶっとばすぞ！
Sakuma: Kozou*, if you’re lying, I’ll beat the crap out of you!

潮： だったらオレをぶっとばして帰っちまえばいいだろうォ！
Ushio: If I am, you can beat me up and then go home!


潮： ウソなんていってねえよ！
Ushio: But I’m not lying!


佐久間： まいったなあ。。。ちぇっ　　信じてやるよ！
Sakuma: I give in…Che. I believe you!


佐久間： おめーの目を見てんと、なんかそーいう気になったくんぜ。
女なんてコロッとだまされるぞ。
Sakuma: I looked into your eyes and see you care.
Bet girls take advantage of you all the time.


佐久間： それで垂が。。。？
Sakuma: So Shizuri is…

潮： あの雪娘は人間を憎んでる雪女につくられた。。。
垂の力と自分の力を合わせて、雪女はこの街を氷づけにするんだって。。。
Ushio: She’s a snow girl made by a yukionna that hates humans…
With her power and Shizuri’s, the yukionna’s trying to freeze this city…

Sakuma: It can’t be…
Shizuri can’t be meaning to do such a thing…

潮： オレはこの槍で雪女と戦うコトになるだろ。。。
だから兄ちゃんは垂を。。。
Ushio: I’m going to have to fight the yukionna with this Spear…
So you have to get Shizuri-

SFX: コッ　コッ
SFX: Tap Tap

潮： とめてある車？
Ushio: From a parked car?


潮： 霜で見えねーぞ。。。
Ushio: Can’t see through the frost…


潮： あっ！
Ushio: Ah!


女： サ。。。ム。。。イ。
Woman: It’s…so….cold.

女： タ。。。ス。。。ケテ。。。
Woman: Help…us…


潮： くそっ！ドアがひらかない！
Ushio: Crap! The door won’t open!

佐久間： お、おい！
Sakuma: O-oi!


佐久間： 車がみんな凍りついてる！！
Sakuma: All the cars are frozen solid!

Ushio: Th-this is…

佐久間： これだけの吹雪だ。雪で空気が入らなくなってラジエーターが
オーバーヒートしたんだろ。。。
しかもドアも凍りついて開かない！
Sakuma: It’s the blizzard. The snow makes the radiators overheat when air can’t get inside…
And the doors are frozen so they won’t open!


佐久間： きっとあっちこっちでこんな車が。。。
Sakuma: There must be cars everywhere…


佐久間： このままじゃ凍死しちまう！
Sakuma: At this rate, they’ll freeze to death!


佐久間： 蒼月ィ　ボヤボヤしてられねえ！
Sakuma: Aotsuki, don’t just stand there!


とら： あーあ、いー気持ちだぜ～
Tora: Aaah, this feels good~

とら： うしおのアホづらから離れて空飛ぶのはよー
Tora: Flying through the sky, away from Ushio’s stupid face-

とら： しかも雪娘が人間に戻る方法を聞いて帰りゃ、
ヤツがあのいまいましい獣の槍を手放すっていうしよ～
Tora: And when I ask how to change a snow girl into a human and get back,
he said he’ll throw away that annoying Beast Spear~

とら： そんな方法なんてねーような気もすっけどよー
Tora: I’ve got a feeling there is no way though-


とら： ま、そんな時はウソでもこいてよ。。。ひひ。
Tora: Ah well, if that’s the case, I’ll lie… Hi hi!


とら： アイツが知ってっかどうかだけどよ。
Tora: He just wanted to know if there was one or not.

Sakuma: Shizuri…
Are you really Shizuri?

佐久間： おい。。。やめろよ。。。
こんなコトする女じゃねえだろ。。。
Sakuma: Oi! Stop this!

雪女： おだまり人間がっ！
Yukibaba: Silence, human!


佐久間： うわああっ！

本気で戦うだと、ではその本気をお見せよォ！！
Yukibaba: This is just a stopgap!
You thought bringing that boy here would change Shizuri’s heart?
If you want to fight seriously, show me that seriousness!

潮： じゃあ見せてやらあ！
Ushio: Fine, I’ll show you!


雪ババ： 前にもいったがねえ、この北国で氷雪を僕とする我々に、
おまえが勝てるわけはないのさあ！
Yukibaba: I said it before. In this northern land, you cannot win over we who
have ice and snow at our command!
