悟： 君はこの「空骸の糸」の上で、
Satoru: Atop the Empty Corpse’s Thread,

悟： その「骸」と獣の槍の超常的力を使わず戦わねばならない。
Satoru: You must battle the Corpse without using the supernatural aspect of the Beast Spear.

悟： その太刀に君は両断されて死ぬ。
Satoru: It will split you in two with its tachi*.

潮： あ。。。足が動くようになった。
Ushio: Ah…I can move my feet now.


悟： 向きを変えなさい。
今が最後、君の足はその糸より離れず、逃げることはかなわない。
Satoru: Turn to face it.
This is the last time. Unable to remove your feet
from the thread after this, you won’t be able to escape.


純： うしおくん、あたしのいったことを考えて。。。
Jun: Ushio-kun, think about what I told you…

今にも力を振りおろしてくるようだ。
Ushio: A corpse?
Even now, there’s power coming off it in waves.

潮： 全身から殺気が放たれてるのがオレにもわかる。。。
Ushio: Even I can feel the satsuki* emanating from its whole body…

*blood lust, killing spirit

潮： 今こうしているだけで汗がふきでてくる。
Ushio: Just standing here, I’m already pouring sweat.


悟： 獣の槍の「力」を借りずに、
戦わねばならない。
Satoru: You must fight

潮： そんなコトができるのかよ！

とら： あんな弱えヤツ、ホントハナシになんねえぜ！
あんなじゃ、取り憑いてても喰らう張り合いがねえな～！
Tora: Why do I bother with such a weak guy!
He’s not even worth haunting and eating!

Tora: What the hell are you doing here?

流： とら～　そりゃねえなァ、しばらくぶりに会ったのによ～
うしお、どうしてる？
Nagare: Tora~ Don’t be like that. It’s been a while since we saw each other!
How’s Ushio?

とら： なーんでわしがあいつのコトいちいち知らんといけねーんだ、けっ！
ぺっ！！
Tora: Why do I have to know every little thing about the guy, huh? Peh!

流： あいかわらずだなァ。
Nagare: Same as always, huh?

流： ちっと気になるコトがあってよ。。。
Nagare: There’s something I’m a little concerned about…

流： オレを含めた四人の獣の槍の伝承候補者の中に、
引狭霧雄というヤツはいるんだが。。。
Nagare: That Kirio guy is one of the four Chosen Candidates
for the Beast Spear that I’m a part of…

とら： ああ、あのイケ好かねえガキか。。。
Tora: Yeah, that creepy little kid, right?

流： キリオがその若い法力僧をたきつけて、
獣の槍を狙っているという噂があるのよ。
Nagare: Kirio’s stirring up the young hourikisou
and there’s a rumor he’s after the Beast Spear.

とら： はん！光覇明宗の坊主が獣の槍を狙ってどうすんだよ！？
Tora: Hmph! What are the monks from the Kouhamei Sect doing going after the Beast Spear?

流： なんでも白面の使い一匹倒せねえ槍と伝承者に、
宗門がいつまでもこだわんのは良くねーんだと。
だからいっそぶち壊した方がいいんだとよ。
Nagare: He says it’s no good that the doctrine is always so fixated on
only one Chosen One and the Spear to beat Hakumen no Mono.
So it would be better just to destroy it.


流： だからおまえの取り憑き先―
うしおに忠告しよかと思って来たのよ。
Nagare: So I thought I’d come warn Ushio, the boy you were haunting before.


とら： けっ、わしゃ　ヤツを見限ったのよ、もー
関係ねえな！

気持ちワルくて殺す気もおこらんわ。
Tora: I don’t feel like killing him and he creeps me out with all that blubbering and weeping
ever since some old woman got killed.

潮： どうしたらいいのか全然わからねえ。
Ushio: I don’t know what I should do.


潮： この一瞬にあらゆる角度で切りこんでくるような気がする。
Ushio: It feels like it could slice me from every angle in an instant.


潮： このまま。。。踏み込んで切られたら。。。楽だろうな。。。
Ushio: At this rate…it’ll easily cut me down…if I take a step…


悟： 限界だな。
Satoru: He’s at his limit.


悟： うしお殿の神経は緊張で張りつめすぎ。。。今に切れる。
そしてただやみくもに打って出て。。。
Satoru: Ushio-dono’s nerves are stretched too thin…He’s going to snap.
He’s going to launch himself at it blindly…

目はしっかり敵を見てるのに、
体中でまわりの様子が感じとれる。

Ushio: I get it…
I get the gist of it…
Fix your eye on the opponent
But feel the situation around you inside your body
And then…

潮： 外の世界が、
オレと敵に向かって閉じてくるみたいだ。
Ushio: The foe and I face each other
and it’s like the outside world is closed off.

我はそのためなら、いくらでも強くなってゆこう。
おまえが使えるならば更に、更に、更に！
Spear: You wield me to defeat bakemono.

悟： うしお殿は自分は獣の槍に頼っていたといっていた。
槍なしでも強くなりたい。

That you wanted to become strong even without the Spear.


悟： でもそれは思いちがいだ。。。
うしお殿はただ槍を十分に使いこなしていなかっただけだ。
Satoru: But that is incorrect thinking…
You just haven’t used it as a regular spear enough.

悟： 巨大な敵、白面の者は獣の槍でしか戦えぬ。
