日輪： その様子じゃ獣の槍を奪われた上、「朏の陣」をかけられたわね。
Hinowa: On top of snatching the Beast Spear, he used the “Crescent Moon” formation.

日輪： キリオか。。。
Hinowa: It was Kirio, wasn’t it?


潮： 何で日輪がこんなトコに。。。
Ushio: What are you doing here, Hinowa?

日輪： ふん、
Hinowa: Fuhn,

日輪： 紫暮様が、「うちのうすらバカに活をいれてやってくれ」
っておっしゃったから、君の落ちこんだカオが見たくて寄ってみたのよ。
Hinowa: I came to see you because you’ve been down and Shigure-sama asked
that I “come and breathe some life back into my little fool”.

日輪： そしたら何、この状態？　やっぱり君には獣の槍を
あつかう資格がないのね！
Hinowa: And now I find you like this.
You’re truly completely unqualified to handle the Beast Spear!


日輪： だいたい君は油断が多すぎるのよ！！山魚の時も、一角の時も。。。
Hinowa: As usual, you’re too unprepared! Like with the Yamauo, and with Hitosuki, and-

潮： あーあ、あい変らずだなァ。。。
Ushio: Jeez, she’s the same as usual…


潮： でも。。。来てすぐに。。。
Ushio: But…you came so quickly…

潮： なんで。。。キリオがやったってわかった？
Ushio: Do you know…why Kirio did this?

日輪： キリオが前々から、若い法力僧の間で、
獣の槍不要を説いていたのは有名なのよ。
Hinowa: For a long time, Kirio had been famous amongst the young hourikisou
for advocating the unfairness of the Beast Spear.

日輪： エルザールの鎌は強力だ。。。
これがたくさんあれば獣の槍がなくても白面の者と戦える。
Hinowa: The Elzaar Scythe is powerful… If we had many of them,
we could battle Hakumen no Mono without the Beast Spear.

日輪： 獣の槍一体にこだわるのはだめだって。
Hinowa: We shouldn’t obsess over the Beast Spear.


日輪： それをはっきりと皆が認めるためにも、
Hinowa: In order to make everyone recognize this,

日輪： 獣の槍は破壊されぬばならないって。
Hinowa: He says they must destroy the Beast Spear.


日輪： 皆、初めは相手にしてなかったんだけれど。。。
Hinowa: In the beginning, no one was on his side…

日輪： キリオが対くらぎ戦で力を見せてから賛同者が増えて、
Hinowa: But his supporters grew
once they saw his power in the battle against Kuragi.

日輪： 今では笑ってすます事ができぬくらい
多くの法力僧がそう考え、上と対立しだしてるらしいわ。
Hinowa: Now, it’s clearly no laughing matter.
A lot of hourikisou are thinking this way
and it looks as though the confrontation has begun.


日輪： 君が「くらぎ」に負けたから！
Hinowa: Because you lost to Kuragi!

Ushio: Where?


日輪： キリオは、伝承候補達の中でも得体が知れないんだ。
本山に聞くしかない。
Hinowa: Kirio is one of the Chosen Candidates but this is too strange.
The only place to go is the Head Temple.

Priest: You’re saying we should repudiate the highest commandments of our doctrine!?

禰宜： 獣の槍を護るおのれら法力僧が、
自ら獣の槍を廃そうというか！！
Priest: You hourikisou are supposed to protect the Beast Spear
but you want to push it aside yourselves!?


和羅： だめだ。。。口応えなどしないが、これら若い法力僧達には、
獣の槍と、うしおへの不信が強く根づいている。
Nigira: This is no good… They’re not talking back but distrust of Ushio and the Beast Spear
has already taken root in these young hourikisou.


和羅： 獣の槍とその正統伝承者・うしおの白面の使いとの戦いにおける敗退。
Nigira: Ushio, the true Chosen One of the Beast Spear,
was defeated in battle with Hakumen’s bunshin.

和羅： それによる、お役目様の逝去。
Nigira: Which lead to the death of Oyakume-sama.

和羅： キリオとエルザールの鎌の力の発揮。
Nigira: The power of Kirio and the Elzaar Scythe was demonstrated.

Nigira: They’re creating a deep rift…

和羅： このまま動揺とキリオの説がほかの僧達に広がってゆけば。。。
Nigira: If this goes on, the rift will widen between those on Kirio’s side and the other monks…


和羅： 光覇明宗の内に亀裂が入る！
Nigira: There will be divisions in the Kouhamei Sect!


和羅： だがこの者達もおそらくは、キリオ自身も知らぬのだ。
Nigira: But I fear they don’t know the true Kirio.


和羅： エルザールの鎌を造った男は、
白面に対抗する武具など造れぬということを！
Nigira: The man who created the Elzaar Scythe
meant to create weapons against Hakumen!


坊： 和羅様。
Monk: Nigira-sama.

和羅： うむ。
Nigira: Hmm?

坊： ただ今ヘリコプターで、関守日輪、蒼月潮二名が
到着いたしましてーその。。。蒼月が。。。
Monk: The helicopter has arrived with Sekimori Hinowa and Aotsuki Ushio…
And Aotsuki says…

坊： 法力僧と引狭霧雄により獣の槍を奪われたとのことです。
Monk: Inasa Kirio and the hourikisou have taken the Beast Spear.

Nigira: The divisions are already starting!


禰宜： いったい。。。いったいどうすればようのか！？
Priests: What…what should we do?

禰宜： まったく潮のヤツが何という。。。
Priests: What is that Ushio boy saying…


和羅： 騒ぐでない。おぬしらはだまっておれ。
Nigira: Don’t make such a fuss. Shut up.

禰宜： し、しかし。。。
Priests: B-but…


潮： おじさん、獣の槍がキリオに盗まれた！
Ushio: Ojisan, Kirio stole the Beast Spear!


潮： 取り返したい！
Ushio: I want to get it back!

潮： 心当たりはないかいっ！？
Ushio: We have to, don’t we!?

日輪： バカ者！
Hinowa: Idiot!

Hinowa: Don’t speak to Soujou-sama in that way, fool!

日輪： 申し訳ありません。この者の不始末にて、
獣の槍がキリオ以下十名の法力僧によって強奪されました。
Hinowa: Forgive his misconduct.
The Beast Spear has been seized by Kirio and ten other hourikisou.

日輪： 目下、キリオほかの足どりは、つかめておりません。
Hinowa: At this time, we have not captured Kirio or his followers.

日輪： 異例な事態により、
Hinowa: In this unprecedented situation,

日輪： 指示を仰ぎたく。。。
Hinowa: I turn to you for instruction…


潮： あいつは槍を壊すって、いってた。。。
Ushio: He said he was going to destroy the Spear…

日輪： こ。。。この。。。
Hinowa: You…little…


潮： じょうだんじゃねえんだよ！！
Ushio: This is no joke!

潮： あの槍は何度もオレや人の命を救ってきたー
ギリョウさんやジエメイさんの変化した槍なんだぞ！
Ushio: That Spear has saved the lives of countless people as well as mine-
Giryou-san and Jie Mei-san were transformed into that Spear!

Ushio: I absolutely won’t let this happen!

潮： 教えてくれよ、何でもいいからさ！
Ushio: Tell me what to do, whatever it is!

潮： オレは槍を助けてやりたい！
Ushio: I want to save the Spear!


和羅： 。。。１６年前。。。
Nigira: …16 years ago…


和羅： 光覇明宗上位師僧にある男がいた。
Nigira: There was a man who was a high-ranking teaching priest.

和羅： 引狭という、
学識豊かな法力僧であった。
Nigira: He was called Inasa and he was a hourikisou with a wealth of scientific knowledge.

法力を伝達し増幅し、強力な妖怪をすみやかに封殺する武器―
その研究に携わり、
Nigira: The buhougu that hourikisou use-
They are weapons that conduct and amplify houriki
and easily suppress strong youkai.
He participated in this research,

和羅： 北海道・札幌から九州の熊本―
各地の研究寺で素晴らしい業績を残した。
Nigira: From Sapporo, Hokkaisou to Kumamoto, Kyuushuu-
And in each research temple, he left behind some amazing achievement.


和羅： もっと強い武法具を！獣の槍を支援できる更に強力な武器を。。。
が、彼の口癖だった。
Nigira: Stronger buhougu! Stronger weapons that can support the Beast Spear…
That was his favorite phrase.


和羅： ―だが彼は。。。
我々が考えもつかない方法で、道をあやまりはじめたのだ。。。
Nigira: But he…
He started to stray from our way of thinking…


引狭： 強ければ強いほど武法具はいいじゃあないか。。。そう、
Inasa: It would be best to create a buhougu as strong as one can be…yes…

引狭： 獣の槍よりも強くたったなあ。。。
Inasa: One stronger than the Beast Spear…

和羅： 当然、彼は四方からの非難攻撃の対象となった。
それは破門されるに充分な行為であったからだ。
Nigira: Naturally, he became the object of criticism from the four head priests.

和羅： その時彼は、

Inasa left the Kouhamei Sect behind.


和羅： そして東京近郊の山にこもった彼は、
まったく消息を絶った。
Nigira: He went into the mountains on the outskirts of Toukyou
and all contact with him was lost.


和羅： 再び我々の前に現われたのが二年前だ。
Nigira: The next time he came before us was 2 years ago.


和羅： 異様な鎌を持った、
法力のずば抜けた小学生を連れて。。。
Nigira: He brought a boy
with an odd scythe and unmatched houriki…

潮： それが。。。キリオ。。。
Ushio: It was…Kirio…


和羅： その力を知ると四師僧はためらわず、
獣の槍の伝承候補にしてしまったが。。。
Nigira: Recognizing his power, the four teaching priests
made him one of the Chosen Candidates without hesitation…


和羅： 全ては「力」のみに視点を置いた、
我らのあせりが生んだ軽挙であった。
Nigira: But he only puts his faith in power and
his impatience with us gives rise to rash acts.

不明瞭な引狭の意図を無視し、キリオを伝承候補と我らにある。
槍はとり戻されねばならない。
Nigira: Ushio, the fault is ours-
We ignored the mysterious Inasa’s intentions
and made Kirio one of the Chosen Candidates.
We must get the Spear back.


潮： その男がこもってたっていう山にキリオがいるのかよ？
Ushio: Is Kirio in the mountains where that man hid out?

和羅： キリオはそこに住んでいるといっておった。。。
獣の槍破壊もそこで成されるのではないだろうか。
Nigira: Kirio said he was living there…
It is likely that he will destroy the Beast Spear there.

潮： そうだ！すぐ行かなきゃ！
Ushio: Right! We have to get there quick!

日輪： そこはーどこですか？
Hinowa: Where is it?


和羅： 神奈川の山に建つーもと小児医院だったと聞く建物だ。
Nigira: The building is a pediatric hospital built in the Narakawa Mountains.


和羅： 近くの住民からは「囁く者達の家」と呼ばれている。
Nigira: The locals call it “The House of the Whisperers”.

おそらく槍もうしおもここにいる。
Nagare: This is where Kirio was born and raised…
Ushio and the Spear must be here.

とら： つーことはあの九印てヤツもここにいるんだな。
Tora: And that means that Kuin bastard is here too.


とら： だいたいがその。。。「ししゃも焼く家」ってな何だよ！？
Tora: What’s with this “Shishamoyaku House” anyway?

流： 「囁く」だぜ、頭悪りーな！
Nagare: That’s “Sasayaku”*, dunderhead!

*”Sasayaku”=to whisper, “Shishamoyaku”=grilling smelt fish


とら： こ。。。こいつもうしほみてーにいつか食ってやる。。。
Tora: I-I’ll eat you just like I’ll eat Ushio…

流： おめえにゃわかんねえだろがな、とら。
Nagare: You just don’t get it, Tora.

流： 外国にゃ「魔道」っつーもんがある。
ま、法力をやる理論実践のあちらさんバーションだけどな。
その中に価値のねえ金属を黄金に変えちまおうって「学問」があんだ。
Nagare: There’s foreign “black magic” here. It’s like their version of using houriki but
within is a study to transform a worthless metal into gold.


流： そしてその研究の過程で見つけられたのが、
Nagare: Having found the process to do that,

流： 人工的に妖を造りだす、
そんなテクニックさ。
Nagare: They can make bakemono artificially.
It’s the same sort of technique.


流： 「囁く者達の家」ここはそんな妖が山ほど、
オレ達にグチをたれたがってんのよ。
Nagare: There’s a mountain of those bakemono here in the House of the Whisperers,
all hoping to leave only our whispered grumblings behind.

とら： けっ、わしが用ガあるのァ　九印のヤツだけよ！
Tora: Keh! The only reason I’m here is that Kuin guy!

Nagare: …it doesn’t matter what you may say…

とら： 待てや　ナガレ。。。
Tora: Wait, Nagare…


とら： 階段から何か来るぜ！
Tora: There’s something coming down the stairs!
