対くらぎ戦で、少年・キリオに遅れをとったオレに対し、光覇明宗内では不満が続出。
In the battle against Kuragi, I was overshadowed by a young boy, Kirio, creating more and more dissatisfaction within the Kouhamei Sect.
ついに、槍不要説を説えるキリオとその賛同者達に槍を奪われる。
In the end, believing that the Spear was unnecessary, Kirio and those who agreed with him took the Spear.
オレは伝承候補者の一人・関守日輪とともに、槍を奪回すべくキリオのかくれ家「囁く者達の家」へ急行。
I hurried to Kirio’s hidden refuge, the House of the Whisperers, to take back the Spear, along with Sekimori Hinowa, one of the Chosen Candidates.
そこで、西洋魔道の研究を重ね、破門された法力僧・引狭の日記を発見。
There we discovered the diary of Inasa, an excommunicated hourikisou who performed lots of experiments with western occultism.
驚くべきことに、引狭は錬金術により九印を創造。さらに、謎の女・斗和子の協力で、
エルザールの鎌を完成していた。キリオは、それを扱うために創られた人間“マテリア”だった。
We were surprised to find the Inasa had created Kuin using alchemy. Furthermore, he achieved the Elzaar Scythe with the help of an enigmatic woman, Towako. To be able to handle the Scythe, Kirio was turned into Materia, a created human being.
そのキリオにより、いま、オレの槍が破壊されようとしている。。。！！
And now that Kirio is trying to destroy my Spear!

霧雄： 獣の槍を封じる赤い布がぐるぐる巻きだし、
槍を腐らせるどろどろの金属の中だもん。。。

霧雄： 遅かったねおじさん 槍はもう死んじゃったよ。

潮： オヤジ。。。

坊： わ。。。我々は大きな目的のために。。。

紫暮： しかし白面は別の手をうっていたのです。
妖を送りこんでも獣の槍は壊せない。
Shigure: But Hakumen took other measures.
It couldn’t send out bakemono to destroy the Beast Spear.
紫暮： 妖に壊せぬのなら、
Shigure: If it couldn’t be destroyed by bakemono,
紫暮： 人間に獣の槍を破壊させればよい！
Shigure: Then the Beast Spear could be destroyed by a human!
紫暮： まず白面は己の使いを人間のもとに送ります。
Shigure: First Hakumen sent its bunshin out as a human being
紫暮： 獣の槍を護る集団から飛びだして男のもとに。
Shigure: To a man who had fled from the group that protected the Beast Spear.
紫暮： そしてその男の自尊心をくすぐりながら、巧みにとり入り。。。
Shigure: Then, laughing at the man’s conceit, it flattered him…
紫暮： 白面を倒すためと称して、
誰にでも操れる強力な武器を作り、子供を一人育てます。
Shigure: Pretending to do it to defeat Hakumen,
it created a strong weapon that could be manipulated by anyone
and raised a child.

Shigure: With these two things, it would destroy the group that protected the Beast Spear.
紫暮： 準備ができました。あとはいかにハデに登場し、
みんあに受け入れてもらうかです。
Shigure: It was prepared. It would make a showy entrance and gain acceptance from everyone.
紫暮： そうして一番効果的な演出がなされました。
Shigure: And it put on a most effective production.
紫暮： その集団が強力な妖に襲われた時、
Shigure: When the group was attacked by a powerful bakemono,
紫暮： その武器―エルザールの鎌をふるって、一人の子供が現われ。。。

内紛を起こし、

as they embraced doubts about the existence of the Spear,

It was a deception to let Kirio debut.
*Kuragi has been written in hiragana until now. Shigure wonders if the kanji for Kuragi might be “眩偽”, which is “cute/dazzling/dizzy” and “deception/trick”
紫暮： キリオと適当にやりあえば、退散でもするつもりだったんだろう。
Shigure: It planned to simply disperse as soon as Kirio hit it.
紫暮： ははは 残念だったな！
Shigure: Ha ha ha What bad luck!
紫暮： お役目様の捨身の活躍で「くらぎ」はくたばった。
エルザールの鎌が倒す前にすでに、
「くらぎ」はお役目様の力によってやられていたのさ。
Shigure: Kuragi was killed when Oyakume-sama gave her life.
It was destroyed by Oyakume-sama’s power before the Elzaar Scythe could defeat it.
紫暮： だが その爆発の最中に、「くらぎ」の体の中に潜み、
事の成行きを見守っていた。。。
Shigure: But within the explosion, hidden inside the body of Kuragi,
it watched the outcome…
