潮： なっ何がボチボチなんだよ！？

潮： そりゃヤツとの戦いは、半年以上も先だって時逆がいってたけどよ。
Ushio: Tokisaka said it’s only half a year until I have to fight it!

潮： 今、何かできるんじゃねえのかよ！　今からよ！

紫暮： ほ～　そいで何をやるんだ？白面のトコに行ってちくちくやるのかよ？

紫暮： 捜してはいるが、なんせ今まで光覇明宗が全力で捜して見つから
なかったヤツの居所だからな。。。

紫暮： 数字が逆だろーが！

紫暮： 麻子ちゃんに聞いたのよ。
おまえウソつかんとかいってるそうだが、

Yokoo: This time Ushio’s in a real spot

真由子： 麻子―っ、図書委員会始まるよーっ！
Mayuko: Asako, the library club meeting’s starting!

潮： なんか　井上、おまえ気に入ってんな。

麻子： これだ！図書館の備品買ったから男手がいるのよっ。
カレーパンで手を打ったでしょ。
Asako: You know! We need some guys to help with the furnishing for the library.
You’ll get some curry bread out of it.

潮： ああ、メンドーだからあれ、パス！
Ushio: Aw, that sounds like too much trouble. Pass!

麻子： はーん、ウソつく気なんだ！！
Asako: Hmm, sounds like you lied again!

潮： ばっかやろう！！　ウソつくかよ！！行ったろうじゃんか！
Ushio: I did not! I don’t lie and I’m coming!

麻子： よーし　よーし！
Asako: Fine! Good!

麻子： じゃ、あさっての夕方４時半、みかど公園ね。
Asako: Well, the day after tomorrow at 4:30 in Mikado Park.

真由子： わお～　デートね～！
Mayuko: Waah~ It’s a date!

真由子： 麻子がぶった～！？
Mayuko: Asako hit me!

厚池： さわがしいこっちゃな～
Atsuike: This is getting out of hand~

Ushio: Hm, the day after tomorrow at 4:30?

横尾： うしおー部活ねえなら、またゲーセン寄ってかねえ？
Yokoo: Hey, Ushio. Since you don’t have club activities, are you heading to the Game Center?

潮： やーだよ！オレいいカモじゃん！あんな格闘ゲームむずかしいぜ。
Ushio: No way! I’ve had enough. That fighting game is tough.

横尾： うしお　ヘタだもんなー
Yokoo: Cuz Ushio’s no good at it-

潮： だいたいこんなワザヒキョーだよ。
Ushio: He usually ends up like that!

潮： しゃかしゃかってよ

潮： ゲームなんだからよー。
Ushio: It’s just a game.

潮： 結局、負けまくっちまった。。。
Ushio: I ended up losing…

潮： ゲームセンターでとった、おかし！おみやげ！
Ushio: Here’s some candy and toys I got at the Game Center!

潮： ちょっと手出しな。
Ushio: Put your hands out.

（箱： この子は柏木実。）
(Box: The boy is Kashiwagi Minoru.)

実： ありがとう。
Minoru: Thank you.

（箱： 二週間前、ふとしたことで知りあった。）
(Box: Two weeks ago, I met him unexpectedly.)

潮： とらーっ！　オレのカレーパン食ったなーっ！

and not letting me eat any humans!

（箱： 久々だが、とらはフツー人には見えない。）
(Box: As always, normal people can’t see Tora.)

潮： てええ！
Ushio: Damn you!

（箱： フツーの人が見たうしお。）
(Box: But normal people can see Ushio.)

とら： ひひひ、わしも最近おめーの弱点を見つけたぜ！
Tora: Hih hih hih, I’ve recently discovered your weak point!

とら： オメーはていさいを気にするからな！
Tora: You’re worried about appearances!

潮： うわーっ！！
Ushio: Uwah!!

（箱： 姿を現した。）
(Box: Became visible.)

潮： バカ！おまえ人にみつかったらどーする！？
Ushio: Crap! What’re you gonna do if someone sees you!?

とら： へっへっへーカンケーねーなー。
Tora: Heh heh heh, I don’t care.

潮： チョーシにのりやがって～くそ～！！
Ushio: Don’t get so cocky~ Crap~!!

潮： 見られちまったーっ！！
Ushio: You’ve been spotted!!

潮： 目が。。。
Ushio: His eyes…

潮： それがミノルとオレの出会いだった。
Ushio: That’s how Minoru and I met.

潮： おとなしいミノルは、オレのくだらないハナシもよろこんでくれる。

潮： だがオレは、ミノルがマスコミの注目を集めてるってコトは後で知ったんだ。
Ushio: But I found out later that Minoru had caught the attention of the mass media.

潮： オレがミノルと会う三ヶ月前飛行機の墜落事故があった。
Ushio: There was a plane crash three months before I met Minoru.

潮： 大事故だった。
Ushio: It was a terrible accident.

潮： 原因だった妖はオレととらがやっつけたけど。。。
Ushio: Tora and I beat the bakemono that caused it but too late…

潮： ―それから二ヵ月以上だったある日。。。
Ushio: Then, one day, two months after the crash…

Ushio: A man from the forest service found a child in the vicinity of the crash.

潮： どうした？　と、その人が問うと。。。
Ushio: “What are you doing here?” the man asked.

実： お父さんを待ってるの。。。
Minoru: I’m waiting for my father.

実： おとうさんとね、ひこうきにのってたらね。。。
Minoru: I was on the plane with my father.
実： 。。。とつぜんひこうきがみしみしって。。。
Minoru: The plane suddenly started creaking…

実： そして。。。気がついたら森にいたの。
Minoru: And then…when I woke up, I was in the forest.

実： お父さんも近くにいて。。。ここで暮らそうって。。。
Minoru: My father was nearby…we’ve been living here…

実： 。。。お父さん森がいいって。。。
Minoru: My father says he likes the forest…

潮： 大騒ぎになった！
Ushio: It caused a huge stir!

潮： その子が飛行機で遭難したのは三ヵ月前、
Ushio: The kid was in a disaster on a plane three months ago.

潮： その子が見つかったのが、それから二ヵ月後。。。
Ushio: He was found but that was two months later…

潮： その二ヵ月間、その子供はどうして生きてこれたのだろう。。。？
Ushio: How did he live for those two months?

潮： 同乗していたたった一人の肉親の父親も。。。
遺体が確認されている。。。
Ushio: They confirmed finding the remains of his father,
who’d been riding on the plane with him…

実： ううん、お父さんはむかえにくるよ。
Minoru: Uh-uh, my father’s coming for me.

実： だって。。。お父さんだったもん。。。
Minoru: Because…because he’s my father…

潮： それがこのミノルだった。
Ushio: That’s Minoru.

潮： 墜落時に破片が目の網膜を傷つけ、両目の視力が極度に低下している。
Ushio: During the crash, fragments damaged his retinas
and his eyesight in both eyes is extremely limited.

潮： じゃ、そのミノルの側にいたのは誰だ？
Ushio: So, who was the person by Minoru’s side?

潮： 二ヵ月間、ミノルは誰と一緒にいたんだ？
Ushio: Who was Minoru with for two months?

潮： でもオレにとっては、ミノルは世間が騒ぐ不思議な子供じゃなく。。。
Ushio: But to me, Minoru’s not some kid who mystified the world.

潮： 病院で退屈している、よく笑う普通の子だったんだ。
Ushio: He’s just a normal boy who laughs a lot and was bored in the hospital.

とら： はーァ、この建物からはくさいニオイすんな～

警官： では、それは見間違いではないんですね。

私もあまりのことに夢かとも思いましたが。。。
Person: That’s right…
I thought I was dreaming too, but-

紫暮： どうも。
Shigure: Excuse me.

人： ああ紫暮さん、今、目撃された方から話を聞いてたんですが。。。
Person: Oh, Shigure-san. We were just getting a statement from the witness…

人： なんでも、この目をえぐりとる犯人は。。。
Person: That killer who’s gouging out eyes…

人： カマを持った悪魔のようだったそうです。
Person: Looks like it’s a demon with a sickle.
