*The Story So Far*

かつて、白面の分身に利用され、獣の槍破壊計画に失敗後、
失踪していた少年・引狭霧雄。
Formerly used by a bunshin of Hakumen, after the plan to destroy the Beast Spear
failed, Inasa Kirio disappeared.

すべてに志望していたキリオは、旅先で偶然、真由子と再会。
猟奇事件に遭遇した二人は、力を合わせて妖を倒すことに成功。
真由子のおかげで、キリオは希望をとり戻す。
Kirio had lost all hope and during his travels, met Mayuko again by coincidence.
The two, both having encountered bizarre incidents before, joined forces and succeeded
in defeating a bakemono. Thanks to Mayuko, Kirio once more has hope.

一方、大妖・白面が唯一おそれる武器・獣の槍を持ちながらも、
オレは近づく最終決戦に不安を抱く。
Meanwhile, holding the only weapon against Hakumen, the Beast Spear,
I was anxious about the coming final battle.

さらに、妖を追って現れた符咒師・鏢の強靭な肉体と精神を目の
当たりにし、大ショック。
I was extremely shocked to see the strength of mind and body of the seal
magician Hyou, who appeared while following a bakemono.

オレは、感情を抑えられないという致命的な欠点を直すため、鏢の

鏢： どんなに強力な攻撃も、正面で当たらねば無効だ。

鏢： 前に妖「ボ」の力におまえは、
正面から対抗しようとした。

潮： これをぶつけるようなもんだもんなァ。

とら： なーにやってんだか。。。

Tora: He can’t teach that idiot anything.

とら： 片っぱしから忘れるぜー！
Tora: It’s in one ear and out the other!

紫暮： ふっ。。。確かにな。。。とら殿。
Shigure: Fuh. Very true, Tora-dono.

紫暮： でもまた。。。
うしおの戦いには決定的に欠けているものを、
鏢殿は教えてくれる。
Shigure: Even so,

とら： けっ、そうしたらまた喰いづらくなるじゃねーかってのよ。

とら： それとあの鏢のヤツ、うしおを強くするってコトのほかに、
もうひとつわしらの近くにいる目的があるってぬかしてた。。。

それは。。。何だった？
Hyou: When you fought the bakemono Gi, it showed you an illusion.

潮： ちょっとした知り合いの女だよ。
Ushio: Some girl I know.

鏢： そうか。。。
次は殺せ。
Hyou: Is that so?
Next time, kill it.

鏢： 蒼月。。。戦いには、勝者と敗者がいる。
その中間などいない。
Hyou: Aotsuki, in a battle, there is a winner and a loser.

鏢： どちらがより感情を抑え、迅速に動けるか。。。
Hyou: Which is which depends on controlling emotions better
on moving with more speed…

鏢： より多くの有効な攻撃を敵に与えるかだ。

ギ： けけけけ、本当におまえは心をのぞきやすいなァ。

鏢： おまえの攻撃はわかりやすい。
感情を抑える戦い方を修練せねばなるまいな。。。
Hyou: Your attacks are easy to see coming.
You must practice battling while controlling your emotions.

Ushio: Um…yeah…

潮： わかってる。。。けど。。。オレ。。。できそうも。。。ないよ。。。
Ushio: I know…but…I…just can’t…

Hyou: Then you will lose. That’s it.

潮： きついなァ。。。鏢さん。。。
Ushio: That’s harsh, Hyou-san…

紫暮： 不肖のせがれに御教示有難う存じます。
Shigure: Thank you for teaching my foolish son.

鏢： 自分の判断でしていることだ。。。
明朝出発する。。。
Hyou: It was my own decision.
We will leave tomorrow morning…

紫暮： お願いできるだろうか。。。

鏢： 私は「桃花源」という所に、潮を連れてゆくつもりだ。
Hyou: I intend to take Ushio to the place called Toukagen*.

*Utopia (“Where Peach Blossoms Come From”)

鏢： 時の流れが止まった、美しい場所だが。。。
そこで私は潮に寂しい訓練をする。
もしかすると強くなる前に絶命するかもしれぬのだぞ。
Hyou: It’s a beautiful place where the flow of time stops
but I can train Ushio there in solitude.
He may die before he’s able to become any stronger.

紫暮： あれは何といっておりますかの。。。
Shigure: I don’t know if I would say that…

鏢： 獣の槍の恐るべきところは、それを持った時から、
膨大な「力」｢素早さ｣「戦闘方法」が本人のものとして
機能するところにある。

紫暮： ああ、だから今まで、あやつごときが戦ってこれたのだろう。

鏢： くくっ。

潮： あれー、鏢さん。笑ってるの？。。。珍しい。
Ushio: What? Hyou-san, you’re laughing? That’s unusual for you.

鏢： 面白い父と子だな。
Hyou: You’re an interesting pair.

潮： え～　面白くねーよ！すぐ殴るし、オレの食いモンも食うしよ！
Ushio: Huh~ It’s not “interesting”! He hits me and eats all my food!

Tora: Hyou…

とら： そろそろここにいるもうひとつの訳ってのを聞かせな。
Tora: It’s time you told us your other reason for being here.

潮： 鏢さんは時間を逆行して何を見たんだ！？
Ushio: Hyou-san went back in time! What did he see?

鏢： ああそのとおり。
Hyou: Yes. You’re right.
