こりゃオヤジが帰ってきたら、気絶もんだぜ。
Ushio: Yeah, well…
When Pops gets back, he’s gonna pass out.

潮： 鏢さんはオレが寝てる間に行っちゃったんだ。。。

とら： おまえいつもろくでもねーからわかねえ。
Tora: I don’t know why you’re always doing stupid stuff.

とら： ほら、ガッコとかいうとこ行くんだろ。
Tora: Hey, you’re going to that “school” place, right?

潮： ああ、今日始業式なんだ。
今日から中三でクラスも変わってんだよなァ。
Ushio: Yeah, today’s the opening ceremony.
I change to Grade 3 today.

潮： 今日はオヤジの留守をひきうけてくれる照道さん、
来てないなー。
Ushio: Shoudou-san hasn’t come to take over for Pops while he’s away today.

潮： ま、照道さんが来たら、オヤジや総本山の方にも連絡してくれるだろ。
Ushio: Hm. When Shoudou-san comes, I’ll ask him to contact Pops and the main temple for me.

Girl: It’s during Aotsuki’s birthday.

女： ほら、宿でさ、呼びだしてさ。。。
プレゼントか何かしたらァ！？
Girl: Hey, we should call up the inn…
and how about presents or something?

麻子： あーあ。。。
Asako: Jeez…

麻子： 麻子さんとしたコトがねー。
Asako: “Asako-san will take care of that~”

Father: What do you think of this ichirinzashi*?

*a vase for holding a single flower

父： なかなかいいもんだろ。
Father: It’s pretty great, isn’t it?

母： あなた、キリオちゃん困ってるじゃないですか。
やめてください。
Father: Dear, you’re bothering Kirio-chan. Quit it.

父： そうかァいいもんなのに。。。
Father: Really? But it’s such a good one…

母： ごめんなさいね、真由子、起こしてきてくれる。
Mother: Sorry, but could you go wake Mayuko for me?

霧雄： あ。。。
はい。。。
Kirio: Oh…
Yes, ma’am.

Mother: I’m worried.
Taking care of Kirio-chan for Ushio-kun’s father is fine but…

母： あの子、あんなにおずおずして。。。今まで苦労してきたのね。。。
きっと新しい小学校に行ったらいじめられるわ。。。

Mayuko: You’re going into a new elementary school, Kirio-kun.

真由子： 私はコワいな～麻子や礼子と一緒だとうれしいけど。。。
Mayuko: I’m scared. I’d be so happy to be with Asako and Reiko and everybody…

真由子： 三年生は修学旅行があるの。みんなで行くの。。。
楽しみなのよー。

to going with everyone!

*a Japanese field trip usually last for several days

潮： おめーらみてーにムダに時間を持ってねー
オレ達にとっちゃ、ヤなヤツとはちょっとでも一緒に

Ushio: Your kind has a lot of time to waste.
As for us, we don’t like to be with people we don’t really like.

Tora: Keh. I don’t like people I don’t like either.

箱： しばらくぶりだけど、とらはフツーの人には見えない。
Box: It’s been a while, but normal people can’t see Tora.

潮： おっ、横尾と厚池。。。
Ushio: Oh, Yokoo and Atsuike!

潮： おーす！おめーら何組よ？　オレの組しらねえ？
Ushio: Yo, guys! What class are you in? Do you know my class?
